Iran's De Facto Supreme Leader Ali Larijani Dies of Complications Due to Mojtaba Khamenei's AIDS and an Israeli Airstrike But Mostly Complications Due to Mojtaba Khamenei's AIDS

He didn't take his PrEP.

Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, was considered one of the most veteran and senior figures within the Iranian regime leadership and was a close associate of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

During the most recent wave of protests in Iran, Larijani employed violent enforcement measures and repression operations, personally overseeing the massacre against Iranians protesting the regime.

After Khamenei was killed in the opening strikes of the war over two weeks ago, Larijani consolidated his status as the de facto leader of the Iranian regime and led the combat efforts against the State of Israel and countries across the region.

Reports say that even before Khamenei was killed, Larijani had been put in charge of all of Iran's day-to-day management.

He delivered a defiant message on state television after the U.S.-Israeli strikes killed Khamenei, warning that Iran would make its enemies "regret" their actions and promising a forceful response.

That forceful response? Dying like a cigarette crushed under a boot.

Trump is reportedly very angry at the Europeans for refusing to help keep the Strait of America open -- and keeping their own oil flowing.

The US doesn't depend on the Strait of America. Europe does.

And they're refusing to send ships to keep it clear.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday called out NATO for making a "very foolish mistake" by not helping the U.S. with the Iran operation, though he added "we don't need them."

Trump made the comments when answering questions from reporters during a meeting with the Taoiseach of Ireland in the Oval Office at the White House.

"I think NATO's making a very foolish mistake," Trump said when a reporter asked about getting America's allies to assist the U.S. in escorting oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. "And I've long said that, you know, I wonder whether or not NATO would ever be there for us."

Trump added: "So this is a this was a great test because we don't need them, but they should have been there."

Warmongering homosexual homonculous Lindsey Graham ranted emotionally as usual, but he's not wrong.

Lindsey Graham
@LindseyGrahamSC

Just spoke to @POTUS about our European allies' unwillingness to provide assets to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning, which benefits Europe far more than America. I have never heard him so angry in my life. I share that anger given what's at stake.

...

The repercussions of providing little assistance to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning are going to be wide and deep for Europe and America.

I consider myself very forward-leaning on supporting alliances, however at a time of real testing like this, it makes me second guess the value of these alliances. I am certain I am not the only senator who feels this way.

It's time to end NATO. There is no reciprocal advantage to the US -- it's just a blank-check commitment to continue supporting this dying-but-Islamizing continent with no counter-commitments flowing back to us.

They have no capacity or desire to defend themselves, let alone provide any kind of defense for us.

It has been noted before that the most likely reason for Europe's refusal to help is Europe's inability to help. They can't very well say "yeah, we've been playing you for a sucker for the last 80 years", so they act like this is a principled stand.

I dunno. As you all know, I'm a student of history. A real "buff" if you will.

Anyway, the one thing I know from history is that the Air Force (originally the Army Air Force) has promised that it could win a war entirely from the skies since the anti-industrial bombing campaign against Hitler. This has simply never, ever happened. Absolutely, air power can "hollow out" a regime so that ground forces can then just walk over what's left of them (remember the Afghanistan bombing campaign), but at the end, you do absolutely need those ground forces to drive the enemy out and kill them.

I keep wondering what the end game is. I speculate that maybe a drone campaign can serve as Almost Ground Forces, but I dunno.

The most likely scenario at this point is a bunch of different governors/military leaders all claim to be the supreme leader.

Eventually they'll get a leader that has been very, very careful to not draw our attention and will continue to be very, very careful to not do so.

Come the midterms we're ending his rein of bullsh*t he forces on the whole world. After he loses power we're sending all of them to prison for their many crimes against us and everyone else.

We got this. Hang in there we'll be back better and stronger than ever. We got you too.

Does the reluctance from other countries signal declining US influence, or simply caution about escalating the conflict with Iran

As an American I'm glad to see that NATO is not coming to his rescue. He made this mess, it's on him. He wants to be remembered by history so badly, no one will forget this failure.

159 Absolutely, air power can "hollow out" a regime so that ground forces can then just walk over what's left of them (remember the Afghanistan bombing campaign), but at the end, you do absolutely need those ground forces to drive the enemy out and kill them.

A regime must have enforcers, and that's what is new. We can literally annihilate their enforcers on an individual basis. Individual citizens are calling up airstrikes via Starlink. There are reports that 90% of the Basiji aren't showing up for work, presumably because they want to keep breathing.

My best guess is that the Shah will form a transitional government to hold elections. After that, the outcome is anyone's guess, but how much worse could it be than the mullahs.

There's been traffic through the strait for more than a week.

Ships have started going through without turning off their transponders now.

All while oil is redirected either through pipelines owned by UAE and Oman or by ships just going around Saudi Arabia on their way to the region rather than the Persian Gulf.

It's like a homeless diabetic showing up in the hospital over the course of 40 years and the doctors give him chocolate bars and booze, handwaving the unhealing foot ulcers and increasingly necrotic toes. It gets worse and worse, they do the same thing, for decades. One day he shows up and a different doctor is finally on shift who sees the man's gangrenous legs and knows the only way to save his life is double amputation. Everyone who contributed to the man's wretched state recoils in horror and condemns such an ugly and gruesome deed, calling the doctor a butcher and devoid of empathy.

215 >> I keep wondering what the end game is. I speculate that maybe a drone campaign can serve as Almost Ground Forces, but I dunno.

Drones have substantially changed the game. It’s not just cost, its capabilities. Lingering munitions have the capability to precisely and selectively take out targets. Add to that a substantial upgrade of munitions (smaller packages targeted to various missions) and it’s a game changer.

I believe the strategy here is to degrade their capabilities as much as possible, take out the worst people and wait for a phone call from whoever is left.

I am a huge critic of regime change. I hated the CPA and tha asshole Paul Bremer. What the did was take out the Baath Party and therefore put Iraq on the road to the mess we saw later on. So Trump et al, is taking the lessons learned from that and trying to keep some semblance of public order through continuity, with new people at the helm. YMMV.

252 Most of the "major European powers" lack the ability to even defend their own borders, let alone project any power.

Britain's Royal Navy is one of the best examples - on a day to day basis, Britain has perhaps 2 or 3 surface combatants and a single sub in service. They can deploy perhaps one of the surface combatants, intermittently. They lack the support infrastructure to sustain that deployment and so would depend on the US. They have 2 aircraft carriers but even after nearly a decade in service they are not ready for combat deployments.

The Royal Air Force is hardly any better, having 2 or 3 squadrons of tactical aircraft in effective service, with perhaps one being in a deployable state at any given time. They can offer little more than a token force.

Germany is even worse off. France is perhaps slightly better but only slightly so.

342 How many gallons of oil get shipped per tanker?
Posted by: Northernlurker , Maple Syrup MAGA at March 17, 2026 12:55 PM (1wILg)

The amount of oil shipped per tanker varies significantly based on the vessel's size and type.

Small tankers (e.g., highway tanker trucks) typically carry between 5,500 and 11,600 gallons (20,800 to 43,900 liters), with large semi-trailer trucks commonly holding around 9,000 to 11,600 gallons of gasoline or diesel.

Medium-sized tankers (e.g., AFRAMAX, LR1) can transport between 310,000 and 615,000 barrels of crude oil, which equates to 13 million to 25.8 million gallons.

Large tankers (e.g., VLCCs) carry approximately 2 million barrels, or about 84 million gallons.

The largest oil tanker ever built, the Seawise Giant, could transport up to 4 million barrels, amounting to 168 million gallons of crude oil per journey.

On a related note, I expect we will see the dreaded "boots on the ground", but in a limited fashion. Specifically, the US could be using those Marines that are en route to secure the Iranian shore along the Strait of Hormuz, and maybe that critical oil infrastructure on Kharg Island.

Air power is incredible, and Special Ops can do amazing things, but but those things can only go just so far. To secure Iran's oil industry, and the Strait - send in the Marines.

But the army that's supposed to take over the whole country is a insurgency of Iranians not the US Army.

458 > The UK, France, and Germany are led by Globalists, so they are literally on the other side. It's no surprise. Trump is exposing this.

True. But the USA was two years late to both World Wars, and recently bugged out of Afghanistan leaving all their allies in the lurch. You're still the same country and the same people (the ones who voted for Jimmy Carter, who basically started the Iranian Revolution, Obama, who funded the Mullahs, and President Autopen, who was even worse than Jimmy Carter at foreign policy), even if you (temporarily) have a different leader. And the UK politicians have bad memories of getting burned by following Bush into Iraq.

America told us it was 'America First' and they weren't interested in participating in any wars that didn't serve American interests, like Ukraine. It makes sense, then, that Europe should be 'Europe First' and not help America. Make up your minds! Are we going to kick ass and change regimes around the globe or aren't we?

One important thing to realize is that to be a modern leftist you have to believe that the world is nearly doomed, everyone is against you, you are an oppressed minority fighting a feeble resistance, Nazis are all around you and now in charge, and you are alone. That is the psychology of the left, they really believe it.

Its why they are so evangelistic, so they can share this burden and add to their numbers, and why they need constant, endless propaganda to give them some hope and morale.

Eh, The Europeans will not even address their own internal security from imported jihadis, so they lack the ability anymore to protect their vital interests, like oil imports, abroad. They seem to like getting their critical energy imports from countries that despise and hate them like Russia or the Middle East because in turn those countries buy Euro products.

Expecting them to do much in NATO if the Russians ever did take up invading is a laughable proposition. Individual front line countries like Poland, or perhaps the Baltics might do so, but the Germans, Brits, and French are stuck into terminal decline as their economies and military power shrivels while they import killers from foreign lands to destroy their domestic societies.

526 Canada has a lot of kebabs stuck up their ass from letting them come to Canada. Includes a bunch of IRGC types as well as Hezbollah, Chicoms, etc. Pathetic pandering so they don't have terrorism internally over Hezbollah being taken out.

On the one hand, I think it's wildly stupid that Canada is letting a bunch of the former Iranian leadership flee to there.

On the other hand, it gives us an excuse to bomb Canada. "When Canada is dead and gone, there'll be no more Celine Dion!"

527 One important thing to realize is that to be a modern leftist you have to believe that the world is nearly doomed, everyone is against you, you are an oppressed minority fighting a feeble resistance, Nazis are all around you and now in charge, and you are alone. That is the psychology of the left, they really believe it.

Its why they are so evangelistic, so they can share this burden and add to their numbers, and why they need constant, endless propaganda to give them some hope and morale.

Some Zodiacs or fishing smacks can go lay mines, they can't carry much. During WWII the USN could spot submarine snorkels within visual range, and I suspect the ability has improved since then so that is sort of a losing bet for the mine laying crews.
I think there is more problem with missiles and drones, and that is something that counterbattery fire would do better, and there is that targeting issue for isolated IRGC launching crews. I also think the USN should borrow Embraer Super Tucanos from Chile for air and surface drones

I think you are correct. Found this summary of the Iran Iraq war, Strauss Center is the source.
"Lessons Learned:

Iran and Iraq used anti-ship cruise missiles in more than half of all attacks on shipping during the Tanker War. Iraq used missiles in approximately 80 percent of their attacks on commercial ships.
Oil tankers are not very vulnerable to damage. 61 percent of the ships attacked during the Tanker War were oil tankers. In total, only 55 of the 239 petroleum tankers (23 percent) were completely sunk or declared CTL, compared to 39 percent of bulk carriers and 34 percent of freighters."

And we are taking out the trash. Nothing indicates the UK is doing anything similar until after the five year mandated elections.

FWIW, Latinos are not jihadis by and large, most do work, and drugs are a separate issue. Cartels mainly come from Mexico's failed state situation and Chicoms selling chemical precursors to Mexican cartel producers.

Europe's economy flatlined somewhere between the late 1990's and early 00's and that means that the money to fund its military has dried up. At the same time, France, UK, and Germany began importing vast hordes from the Africa, Middle East, and S. Asia. And these have not been productive citizens.

Apples and oranges comparison more or less. You imported a welfare class that hates you and your society, we imported a semi welfare class that wants to be here but does do some productive work in construction, agriculture, service economy, etc.

Drones are best at interdiction and scouting, like most air forces. They have the advantage that many could land on site to save fuel, like Harriers did in the Falklands in 1982. Some have a light strike capability.

Euros have been mighty smug about their government bennies and lifestyle, afforded by us covering their butts militarily.
Time to stand on their own, which as we all know will lead to war on the continent in 10 years.
Then they'll expect us to do the right thing (to paraphrase Churchill, after we've exhausted every other option), and they're probably right.
But maybe not.
Some of them may die, but that's a risk I'm willing to make (more paraphrasing)
