Before you celebrate, the bill is the worst kind of waffly bullshit, forbidding the government from infringing on fundamental rights unless it really wants to.
I think they've spent too much time next door to Canada and the government needs to institute a hundred-mile decommunised zone.
Still doing better than Australia where our government threatened at one point to legislate against inconvenient arithmetic.

The H610M Combo featured two slots for DDR4 memory and four slots for DDR5, though you could only have one or the other.
The Combo II cuts that down to one slot for DDR5 and two slots for DDR5, which is kind of broken. If you have DDR5 you don't need the DDR4 slot, and if you don't you're stuck with a quarter of the bandwidth.

I can summarize long email chains, I can format meting minutes or crank out SAT, COs, you name it in seconds.

You can play whack a mole with automated review but then the automated review ends up flagging too much of your customer base, so you lessen its sensitivity. Then new issues come up which causes more issues and then the endless reporting content causes more. Yeah that was a bunch of typos.
I figured out that it’s helpful to wait a few more minutes after waking up before trying to type.
It also helps to turn the brightness up on the iPad to be able to see the typos.
Turning off autocucumber helped prevent the wrong words being pumped out but it doesn’t stop my typing too fast on the screen keyboard and not paying attention to the squiggly lines under words.

Mamdani is threatening Holschul that at least on income tax increase for NYC, that if the state does not approve it, he will raise property taxes massively to pay for his new spending. The estate tax may be the same issue depending on the city charter. I do know that NYC's is atypical in giving the city much more power than most states grant their cities.

I haven't thought this through in any significant way, i'm just throwing it out as a topic for discussion. There seems to be a split between the people who just say crazy shit for clicks, like Kelly. For them, it's really all just words. Raw punditry. Then there are those who are actively taking concrete actions to influence events and stir shit and ruin people's lives, like Owens. It seems like a real, tangible difference that's probably worth thinking about more.

The real question should be - why are search engines shovelling up such useless information? How much of that useless information was vomited up by AI and parked on cheap hosting? How much of the other useless information was vomited up by scripts in the past just plastering content from elsewhere, incorrect and outdated information usually? And why is it still being raised to the first page of results?

As a casual observation, it seems like every bad meme is a perfect opportunity for a good meme. A meme, like any good comedy, is rooted at least to some extent in truth. The "left" can't meme, because the left can't truth. 208 I haven't thought this through in any significant way, i'm just throwing it out as a topic for discussion. There seems to be a split between the people who just say crazy shit for clicks, like Kelly. For them, it's really all just words. Raw punditry. Then there are those who are actively taking concrete actions to influence events and stir shit and ruin people's lives, like Owens. It seems like a real, tangible difference that's probably worth thinking about more.
I can't right now, because i've got firewood to split and a compost pile to turn. And I'm also not 100% sure I actually care all that much anyway. But it's a thought.

You want good searches, you pay for it. The web got people expecting stuff for free and someone had to pay for it. Originally, it was the investors as tech companies lost money initially but as these matured, they made bank by taking over ad revenues from TV, radio, and newspapers and destroyed the Yellow Pages monopoly as well.
So now you have AI searching built on a foundation of whatever public data they can scrape or buy from this early version of the web and as much private content as they can get away with stealing.
Still true though if you want the best search results, you gotta pay for it via subscription, etc.

You can get good information still from the web depending on the subject, but you have to curate people and certain websites to do it. You cannot rely on page rank (Google) anymore as the top entries are likely to be the paid ones.
Same with Amazon--Amazon found they could make more via advertising and selling the top product search links, than they did selling and shipping the product itself. That is why chinesium slop products are often the top listings which you have to waste your time burrowing down the lists to find something reliable.

Search engines have always been about how you are asking. Often trying to match the word choice and content of the person who wrote the article you are looking for was and is helpful.
I'm really good at that, but it's increasingly hard to get around Google's bias towards monetization. That's why using Grok as a filter is a great time saver.

I have always preferred bing to google. google is better for matching images and doing that kind of search, but bing seems better for typed queries. They all have a layer of AI crap at the top these days (which, in fairness, is not too bad for general questions) but I prefer to do my own summations, thanks large language model.
