Video obtained by The Post shows Honduran national Bairon Hernandez, 34, strolling along the platform after allegedly pushing an 83-year-old man and a second younger man onto the tracks at a station on the Upper East Side around noon Sunday.
Hernandez was arrested at about 5 a.m. Tuesday at a Brooklyn homeless shelter and charged with attempted murder, attempted assault, assault and reckless endangerment.
Grandfather and Air Force veteran Richard Williams, the older of the two victims, is still fighting for his life at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell.

"My father, Richard, is on a respirator in the ICU in the hospital. That's all we are going to say," one of Williams' daughters told The Post on Tuesday.
Hernandez reportedly didn't say a word throughout and hadn't interacted with his victims before the incident.
The younger victim helped Williams off the tracks and fellow straphangers got the pair back onto the platform before a train came.

It comes after the NYPD revealed transit crime spiked nearly 20% in February as cold weather policies prevented cops from booting rule-breaking passengers from the subway.

He was last deported in 2020 -- under Trump. He reentered the country at an unknown date, but I'm gonna guess it was under Biden.

My understanding is there is an initial sweep of the roles to ensure people who are on them are legit, and going forward, you just have to show ID. You have to prove citizenship to register to vote. So I agree it won’t be 100% effective, but it will cut down on the issue dramatically. I think there will also be a bit of a deterrent factor that prevents some who felt emboldened to vote, not to risk it and get deported.

BUT even if they don't vote, they give the districts full of illegals representatives based on the total population (including the illegals). So for example, an area of Chicago with 400k legals and 400k illegals will get one rep, while a district with 800k legals will also get one rep.

(somewhere close to 800k/district) This basically means the illegals have at least 20 of their own reps in congress.

Asked my Marine buddy about that. He flew to the ME a few times during his service. Said the refueling was CRAZY. After the planes connect, they basically shut the engines off and go freefall. Said it usually happened in the middle of the night when most were sleeping.

Governors races are those kinds of races that can go against PVI and elect off-party candidates.

They're a bit less driven by pure partisanship and can be influenced by local/statewide issues.

No polling of the GOP primary for months, and the last couple were YouGov (laughs), but this could be another Mark Robinson (NC in 2024) where the candidate is just so bad but wins the primary anyway.

The only things that could save Vivek if he wins the primary are the very slanted nature of PVI in Ohio and the fact that Acton is terrible.

I've had trouble finding the rationalization as well. I'm going to suggest a staple of today's society. "Immediate gratification" and "Envy" itied together in a neat little bow of "self-loathing."

These illegals are sold a bill of goods that coming to the US guarantees wealth. When it becomes apparent that they need to work for it, they go for the immediate gratification associated with crime. When that doesn't work out they start to envy those established citizens like a old white guy (likely carrying groceries or something)...which trips the envy button...as they compare that old white guy to their own failures...and that brings forth the frustration and self-loathing. Hence, a push onto the tracks. Of course, these lawless jackasses likely don't need much of a reason. They're angry.

The Browns have a really nasty defense. Offensively, they are sort of retarded. I would actually venture a guess that the the only time NYC enters anyone's head that doesn't live there is only when stories such as this pop up.

I read where home invasions in England happen when the homeowners are present. Besides the fact that homeowners can't defend themselves, it would be illegal if they tried, there's probably another reason. I assume it's because they know where the valuables are hidden, making it convenient for the theives.

It has long been demonstrated that leftists beliefs on crime and its perpetrators are full of shit. Criminals respond to incentives and no worries about being punished by homeowners means more home invasions. To them, crime is what they do because they don't care to work for a living and jail/prison is simply like when they get laid off for a time. Out, they will start back to what they were doing that got them into trouble in the first place. It is a way of life to them, not economic or social primarily, but culture.

In jurisdictions where they may get ventilated, there are less home invasions and burglars tend to stick to unoccupied dwellings. Only the hard cases go after targets where they might get killed.

Some quibbles about how different jurisdictions code this and I think you can find a DoJ publication explaining that. But it generally means purposefully going into a residence despite it being occupied and entering in a tumultuous fashion.

Defining it gets complicated when sometimes it is a whacked out acquaintance or family member of some sort usually on drugs or drunk or in domestic violence cases. They may have a quasi legal reason for entry but refuse to leave when asked.

325 I amost shot the neighbors drunk brother one night. Just walked in the house. Stood there confused while I drew on him. I recognized he wasn't a threat and pushed his ass out the door and off the porch. He starts yelling about me being in his sisters house so I chased him down to her house when I figured out this was the dude she was always bitching about. Sad more than anything. She really loved him and he died a few month later.

Doors always locked since. That whole incident brought on security cameras and being armed always on the property.
