BREAKING: A gunman is dead after opening fire in Constant Hall on the Old Dominion University campus Thursday morning in Norfolk, Virginia.

Two people were injured and taken to a local hospital.

WAVY10: "ODU sophomore Logan Hayes was in Constant Hall taking a test when the active shooter situation started. He said the fire alarm went off and he ran out of the building."

"As soon as he got outside, Logan told WAVY, 'I heard about a multitude of gunshots go off and people just screaming.'"

News: I'm reliably informed that the alleged attacker of Old Dominion in is Mohamed Jalloh, the same Jalloh who was previously convicted of providing support to ISIL.

Look, I'm done being polite. Supposedly most Muslims are "mostly peaceful." Fine. But the "mostly peaceful Muslims" do not bring nearly enough to the table to make up for the murders and mayhem committed by the less-than-mostly peaceful ones.

I will not live in a society where I can be murdered at any moment by a seventh century cult fanatic just to prove how #Woke I am and how tolerant I can be of my own oppressors.

If anyone wants to disprove this, please run the numbers on the incredible economic and cultural benefits we receive from Muslim invaders that outweigh the fact that we have had to entirely reconfigure our lives in order to accommodate them and mitigate their propensity to mass murder.

There are a lot of people who learned otherwise, first hand. We haven’t been fighting a war against “terror” since 9-11. That’s a whitewash campaign in which I refuse to participate. We have been fighting a war against islam. Period. The fundamental tenets of that cult implore their “faithful” to convert adherents by any means possible, and murder or subjugate those who don’t. Most of the muslim world was converted by force and through centuries of coercion have remained members of the cult. The modus operandi is always the same because it originates from the same place.

Some people are simply “peaceful” by their nature no matter what religion they follow. That isn’t a reflection of their “religion” it’s a result of their temperament. Agreed Ace. I've known many peaceful Muslims myself but the question I ask myself is this. As I'm kneeling in Church praying, IF the news every other day was about gangs of Christians shooting up or blowing up people in the name of Christ I would start asking myself some serious questions about my faith and what was being done in its name. And I don't see these "peaceful" Muslims doing the same as they do their prayer 5 times a day. And if they don't reflect on this being done in their religion's name then the term "peaceful" loses its meaning. In my mind.

I got the alert and just swiped it away. Felt nothing. It's so sad and fucking infuriating that it's just so common and NOTHING is being done differently by anyone in leadership who could make a difference. 

Given that the people shot were ROTC cadets, it isn't a huge leap to theorize they were targeting government/military rather than just random students.

I’m so fucking tired of all the pro gun people arguing about gun freedom. None of them are ever around to save the day when someone else or someone else’s kid decides to shoot up a school. They’re just being selfish at this point.

Either stop throwing money at our corrupt ass president to do with as he pleases and at least vote to fund bullet proofing the schools prison style, or accept the guns need to fucking go.

Here's the deal. In the mid '80's we had influenza and then I got mycoplasma and it damaged my lungs a bit said a pulmonologist I trusted. A I have huge lungs from swimming and remain unsure if that is a reason. I used to use inhalers if I got sick after this.

Three years ago with probable covid I had either a set of bad bagpipes or a hormonica in my upper bronchi when I tried to sleep. Inspiration and expiration. SUPER annoying. My first go with pred and wonky! I had to have it as the inhalers were not touching it...and the MD told me to never get to that point again.

An ARNP yesterday gave me a very low dose to take for a couple of days and then done. It is permanent damage from the '80's and I think I did really well to go 40yrs with never taking a roid til 3yrs ago. Now today, and can stop when I improve. Inflammation from the faucet of snot last weekend. Exposed to RSV by our 6mo old grandgirl, who was not as sick as her parents or me.

And, no, I don't like it as it makes me crazier.

It was insane. I could not rest. It had no melody or rhythm. Sometimes it made cat-like mating sounds.High pitched then low tubas.

When you are sick you want to lie down and sleep. I decided this was a unique symptom and went to urgent care the next day, no matter that I had no fever and oxygen sats were normal. Crackles on expiration are not as serious. Both, no good!

No, I don't want a moon-face and am thankful I don't have to take this daily.
