The Morning Report — 3/12/26

CutoutCutups.jpg

Good morning kids. Well, I'm sure you're all familiar with the expression "Paper Tiger." Given the current situation, my first instinct is to laugh.

With so much AI material circulating nowadays, it was easy to assume that the photos were fake, but they apparently were real. Only Mojtaba Khamenei, the new head of Iran’s Islamic regime, was slightly less than real. Photos began circulating Tuesday of Iranians straight-facedly presenting a large cardboard cutout of Mojtaba at a ceremony celebrating his appointed as the country’s supreme leader. . . problem: how could they have a ceremony to celebrate Mojtaba Khamenei becoming the new supreme leader if Mojtaba himself, despite being “safe and sound,” had been injured so severely that he was unable to attend? The solution to this problem that the Islamic Republic’s best minds hit upon owed more to Monty Python than to the subtle principles of high-level statecraft. The ceremony went on as planned, but Mojtaba Khamenei wasn’t there; in his stead, Iranians displayed a large cardboard cutout of a man, with a photo of a glum-looking Mojtaba’s face at the top. . . That doesn’t mean, however, that it is a nonexistent regime, or that it cannot survive through this period of crisis. American actions always take place within the election cycle, and that cycle wields immense influence over them. Adding to the unpredictability of all that is Trump’s mercurial nature. Right now he is committed to striking Iran, but that’s no guarantee that he will continue to do so until the regime is no more. The Israelis, meanwhile, are more likely than ever to act without American approval, but still reluctant to antagonize their foremost friend in this world. Thus Cardboard Khamenei and his regime have a chance to remain in power for decades to come. All the need to do is survive the present crisis. They may not face a similar challenge, and the Iranian people may not have an opportunity to rid themselves of the regime that is as good as the one they have now, for many, many years.

All too true. So you laugh, and then all things considered it's not really all that funny given the Shiite goal of world conquest via armageddon, which may once again blow up right in our faces. They hate us and have already spilled rivers of American blood for 47 years, and now they're cornered like rats in a cage. And so, anything can happen:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a threat alert in early March to California law enforcement detailing intelligence pointing to the potential of Iranian drone strikes launched against the West Coast of the United States. According to the memo, Iran was believed to be seeking to position an unidentified vessel off California’s coast with the intent of using it as a platform to launch suicide drones. The threat alert appears to be more of a situational awareness notice than a warning of an imminent Iranian attack.“We recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United State Homeland, specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the U.S. conducted strikes against Iran,” the FBI threat alert states, adding, “We have no additional information on the timing, method, target, or perpetrators of this alleged attack.”There are additional concerns that Iranian agents or proxies operating in Central and South America could coordinate with Mexican drug cartels to launch suicide drone attacks across the U.S. southern border, especially targeting American military bases in Texas and California.

Don't be shocked if one day you hear the Amish phrase "Allahu Akbar" right before a bomb explodes...and you're showered with Jello Salad or Shrapnel

We are at the point where The New York Times, CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC and USA Today will downplay, obfuscate or even justify an ISIS terrorist attack in New York City simply because it was aimed at people they loathe. Never mind that we saw video all over social media Saturday showing one of the ISIS-radicalized suspects yelling “Allahu Akbar” as he tossed a bomb packed with shrapnel and “Mother of Satan” explosives into an anti-Islam protest near Gracie Mansion.

Just because the bombs thrown into the crowd that afternoon fizzled out before exploding does not make the terrorist attack any less ominous.

In the hometown of 9/11 heroes, the Times framed Saturday’s attack in a way deliberately designed to mislead the reader into thinking the offenders were anti-Islamic protesters and that Mayor Mamdani was their intended victim.

And considering that an Iranian was sentenced for an attempted assassination of Donald Trump we still have this to contend with:

Attorney General Pam Bondi has moved to a military base in Washington, D.C., after federal investigators flagged credible threats related to her work at the Justice Department, the New York Times reports. The move happened within the past month, after law enforcement warned her team that the danger had reached a level serious enough to force action. . . This isn't an isolated case. It's a pattern: Several senior officials have already made similar moves amid increased threats against members of the administration. Among them are Stephen Miller, President Donald Trump’s top domestic policy adviser; Secretary of State Marco Rubio; outgoing Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem; and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Of course, we have a probable recent graduate of the Renee Good driving school . . .

The United States Secret Service (USSS) detained an unnamed driver early Wednesday morning after they crashed their vehicle into an outer perimeter barricade near the White House. Anthony Guglielmi, a Secret Service spokesman, stated that officers from the agency’s uniformed division are “looking into a suspicious vehicle.” He added, “Various entrances and the streets are temporarily closed as teams conduct their work.”Notably, the crash occurred at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and H Streets, just outside Lafayette Square, according to the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). No injuries have been reported in connection with the collision. The incident has resulted in streets north of the White House being temporarily closed as law enforcement and National Guard troops secured the area.

Have a great Day!

Willowed:

Media are speculating that Kim Jong-Un is preparing his 13 year-old daughter to be the future Queen, as he has been recently photographed with her touring munitions plants & other facilities, testing new pistol and sniper rifle designs, etc.

She doesn't look big and fat like daddy, and she wears high-necked leather jackets and has a good scowl she's working on.

The DPRK sucks and she's likely to be a real problem in the future - but it looks like she's shaping up to be a regular little Bond villain, which is cool. I want my shadowy leaders of nuclear-armed rogue states to look the part.

Um, no. This is Globalist propaganda. Specifically, "... Adding to the unpredictability of all that is Trump’s mercurial nature. Right now he is committed to striking Iran, but that’s no guarantee that he will continue to do so until the regime is no more. ..." is complete rubbish.

Trump does NOT have a "mercurial nature". When he seems to change his tune on something it's to create a desired effect, but always to attain the same pro-American goals. It's OBVIOUS through his actions that Trump understands both the threat of the Islamic regime AND the fact that it will NOT go away - ever - until it is EXTERMINATED. HE has assembled everything he needs to do it, and it is underway.

It's a fool who bets against President Trump.

To be honest with you, it’s pretty central to it. I am a believing Christian. I think that if you think about the historical influence of Christianity on our country—forget the rest of Western civilization, just limit it to the United States—some of our most cherished ideals are really rooted in Christian principles and thinking. The dignity of the individual, the sanctity of labor, the priority of the poor, all of those things are tremendously important to me.

Priority of the Poor. Fuck the poor. The poor in the US a richer than most of the EU. The Priority of Government should be freedom, Natural Rights, and Rule of Law, everything else is just bullshit made up on the fly.

The most damning thing you can say about the US legal system. There should be a judge, sitting with an injunction already written, just waiting for the Governor to sign the legislation in order to issue it.

The bill is unconstitutional on it's face. There's, literally, no argument which can be made to make it constitutional. Tell them no, refuse to stay the injunction while they appeal - which should take no more than 10 minutes for one of the appellate court judges to notice and say no, and move on.

82 British Gov’t Plan to Scrap Jury Trials Clears First Hurdle Despite Opposition

One step closer to justifying vigilantism.

Didn't read the article since almost everything published is lies and propaganda. It does raise philosophical questions with respect to juries and how appropriate they are in low trust societies, or worse, multi-cultural low trust societies where a jury pool could very well be filled with amoral, uncivilized tribal rivals that have no love for transcendent laws, rights of people and order.

In the OJ trial there were elements of all these things. And in the persecution of Trump and those affiliated with him or the non indictments of Democrats in NYC and Babylon DC we see judges and juries that have zero interest in maintaining social cohesion, high trust or rule of law.

In LA we see people who have swindled and defrauded the government tens of millions and only getting a couple years of prison.

Is the jury system now a joke in multi-cultured, low-trust, tribal "societies" ?

Ridiculous. There's all kinds of Christianity all over this world, but none of those places are like the US because the US was founded on Enlightenment principles, not Christianity.

If anything, one of the most important values is essentially "free thought" - which includes freedom of religion, which is at odds with the Ten Commandments. Christianity has NEVER been about freedom - in fact the Bible is pretty matter-of-fact about straight-up slavery, something God himself practices (IIRC).

105 The piece wondering Arab countries don’t join the war glosses over the most obvious explanation, which is the same reason European countries are doing very little except for sailing some ships in circles in the Mediterranean and claiming they’re Doing Something.

It’s because they are all incredibly weak, by any real standards. They are good at suppressing internal dissent, and beating up women and children, but they have very little war making ability.

The only countries in the Middle East with significant military forces outside of Israel were Iran, Turkey, and Egypt. We’re eliminating Iran, Egypt is too far away from the action, and no one wants to see Erdogan’s army get adventurous. Nobody wants China to start nosing around, either.

That’s why, when it comes to action in the Middle East, it’s either the US or nobody. That’s why Iran was working to dominate the area with their military buildup.

There are many who make good money claiming that they can, but swindling you out of money through appeals to your decency and emotions isn't the path.

(The concept is complete nonsense to any Muslim, for example)

First enunciated by Christ himself, when He said “render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
Acknowledging that the two spheres are quite separate from each other.

Europe, the birthplace of The Enlightenment, would be similar to the US, but because it is absent any Christian influence, is an amoral socialist hell-hole.

In the "Servant Songs" of Isaiah, the Messiah is referred to by God the Father as "My Servant" which is probably better translated as "My Slave"... Yes, even Jesus was a slave to the the will of His Father. As believers, we are also to be slave of God. In Philippians 2, Paul writes that the Father has given Jesus a name which is above every name - The name Lord. So as believers we are slaves of Jesus. These relationships are right and proper because he is God and we are not. While it's true the NT doesn't explicitly condemn the institution of slavery (the short book of Philemon asks a slave master to receive back his runaway slave with charity because they were both Christians)... But it's also clear that slavery is incompatible with true Christian ethics. As for the poor, Jesus said they'll always be with us but encouraged the rich young ruler to sell all he had to give to the poor.

158 Sure, but I suspect it's more than that. Iran threatens Israel and the US with nuclear attack the most, and they don't want to be seen as an ally of the Jews fighting against fellow Muslims, do they? I just don't see them as being nearly as motivated as Israel and the US.

But at least to this point they don't need it. They are getting massive amounts of direct and indirect funding from the US without needing a military.

And it should be pointed out that in communist regimes there has traditionally been friction between the party and the military where the former always has to be worried about a coup from the latter. If you just don't need an army you don't have to worry about it anymore...

168 You are completely wrong, of course. The entire concept of “separation of Church and State” is a uniquely Christian value , taken for granted by modern faux intellectuals who don’t understand how it was incorporated into Western Civilization. (The concept is complete nonsense to any Muslim, for example)

First enunciated by Christ himself, when He said “render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
Acknowledging that the two spheres are quite separate from each other.
Posted by: Tom Servo at March 12, 2026 08:16 AM (7yOPh)

I'm surprised to see such abject nonsense from you. But then, it seems like it all it takes is religion to get otherwise intelligent people spouting nonsense.

By way of example, the UK has an official state religion, and the official head of state - the King - is the head of that religion. It was typical in Europe for the people to have to change their religion to match the beliefs of their sovereign - there was never much in the way of freedom of religion, much less separation of Church and State (a phrase coined by Thomas Jefferson, not Martin Luther). It was unheard of before the radical Founders came along.

204 Charity being the jewel of the theological virtues has less to do with objectively improving a poor person's life as it does with instilling the mindset that none of this is even really yours to begin with. This world is not as important as you think it is. Your own well being is important, but far down the list of things you should be worried about. "Consider the sparrows", etc etc. Once you understand that, the number of units of local currency you do or don't give to any particular person who has fewer of them than you do at any given moment fades into irrelevance and you wind up giving it as little thought as breathing or walking.

The point is, none of that addresses one stealing from someone else to give to another. That's simply wrong. That's always wrong. That's especially wrong, because you're perverting and collapsing the path of Charity and replacing it with Theft and Vanity.

If you talk with a leftist in a low paid field, the government should raise their salaries and give them benefits. Because their field is IMPORTANT

If we want to fix the election system one way to do it would be to have red counties hold back vote totals just like blue ones now, and publish absurd results like 100% of adults in the county voted.

If say a red area in VA did this it would lead to immediate claims of election fraud and an investigation from the CIA agent running the state. But it would destroy the left's argument about how there is voter fraud and can't be any

This is partly an internet problem, partly a loss of gatekeeping problem, and partly leftwing problem

The internet lets anyone share their thoughts with the public. In the past your potential audience was very limited unless you had access to publish a book, in a newspaper, etc.

And in those limited slots that had this access, you could and would be cast out if you wrote something crazy

And finally the left poisoned this sort of gatekeeping using it to just remove anyone that disagreed with them and at the same time adopted a "no enemies to the left approach". So the guy that would rant about the wonders of communism in a park 60 years ago now instead does it in a tiktok and leftists are not allowed to criticize it...

That is a fraudulent election. Null and Void.

When people talk about “voter fraud” it evokes something different. A few people voting twice, or filling out an extra ballot here and there. Almost harmless. And it never happens anyway, and if it does, it’s not enough to change the outcome, etc.

301 Joe Rogan says Trump supporters feel "betrayed" by Iran war.
-------

Betrayal is very much an overstatement. I did not want this intervention and I'm not nearly as sanguine about the prospects for quick victory as many here are. I think we're in for a long slog, and I doubt we have any set goals at this point since no uprising has materialized, which seemed to be the initial goal - and none of the fundamentals for one appear to be coalescing.

I have deep misgivings about all of this, and I think Trump probably screwed up, here. That said, it's no betrayal. Trump is making a MAGA play against the Chinese, it's pretty much in line with his agenda, and consistent with his other anti-Chinese play against VZ.

Nor is it irretrieivable. He's quick on his feet, and I am hoping he'll drop the loose talk about a free Iran and boots on the ground, and focus on achievable, near-to medium-term victory conditions.

People desperately want this to be the end of MAGA, but that is not the case at this point, and it certainly needn't be. It's up to Trump to figure this out, and I still trust him much more than the other clowns in the political, military and foreign service establishments.

There are a bunch of Uke videos that purport to be drones chasing individual Russian soldiers.

Are they real? Hard to say BUT that makes it very easy to believe we have them.

325 We have to find a way of taking them out without involving a ground game, otherwise the Iranian people that want to have freedom will be too afraid to come out and protest against the regime.

I mean, has Trump shown at any point that he is willing to throw away what he keeps saying he is fighting for? (the future of this country)

Not that I can see and I've watched him from the beginning. Trump very much goes by instinct and aligning his own side into positions where they "win either way" but I believe the criticisms (not by you) that he is "mercurial" are very much overblown. He may want people including his enemies to believe he is such, but someone who was, could never have got where he is with the world aligned against him waiting to "pounce" on any mistake any time. They MIGHT if they had the DNC backing them and media covering, but even then it's doubtful.

All I'm saying is this, in an election year, was carefully gamed out unless he is finally owned by the Republican establishment which I do not think is the case. That only leaves, he knows his objective, he knows which lines he will and won't cross, he knows when he wants it done, he knows there are several paths to get there, and he knows he will stay on that road until he does. This isn't 4D chess or trust the plan, this is simple math.

That is why many counterterrorism approaches emphasize things like:

- precise, intelligence?driven operations rather than broad collective punishment
- cutting financing, logistics, and safe havens
- information campaigns and community work that undercut the group’s religious or ideological appeal

You can still argue about where the moral line is, but when the enemy *wants* martyrdom and chaos, “more terror to stop terror” is often exactly what they are trying to provoke.

Yes, the idea that the third carrier will relieve the one that is overextended is just an assumption based on common sense, but the US military has said no such thing. So it could be that they feel that they just really need that third carrier there for as long as it takes.

I should have noticed that this was basically calling Jesus a "biblical writer", which of course makes no sense since the New Testament was written after his demise.

So I'm still unclear on exactly what the Bible says that Jesus had to say about slavery. But realistically, slavery was just an accepted fact of life back then, and that is no doubt reflected in the text. If there was anything overtly revolutionary about slavery that was said, it seems like that would be common knowledge.

Posted by: Kareem of Wheat at March 12, 2026 10:26 AM (vqA1l)

389 So I'm still unclear on exactly what the Bible says that Jesus had to say about slavery.

Its a loaded question. Since "slavery" is rather subjective, and "Bible Says that Jesus" doesn't understand a foundational principle.

Since Jesus is God, the whole Scriptures are the temporal manifestation of what He has to say.

Since the Paraclete is God, the regeneration / sanctification / renewing of the mind brings the conviction on slavery.

Since the unregenerate haven't the spiritual conviction, and since they are otherwise at enmity with God, God's Word falls upon the deaf and blind.

I don't think the unregenerate really care about God's view on slavery and would rather use a wresting of it to harass and accuse the Elect.
