Has the Drone Phase of the War Begun?

I mentioned at the beginning of the war that the only possibility that I could see for fighting a ground war without ground troops (apart from SpecOps spotters spies and such) is to adapt the tactics of the Ukraine-Russia war, using drones to attack personnel on the ground.

I would bet there are such people in place, but I am also doubtful the conditions are not yet set. Most military units have their IRGC overseers. All that said, it can't happen soon enough.

I use to get those as a kid at the grocery store in bags and put them together to fly after dinner.

The company I work for makes loitering munitions, IMNSHO the best in the world. Look up Switchblade for an example.

They can be networked, coordinated, etc. Accuracy is precise. They fly high enough and are quiet enough that you probably won't even hear it.

It's been busy for us the last couple of weeks. But we have the capacity to meet the demand.

In Ukraine they have been doing a lot of back and forth with drone measures. Some jammers mounted on Russian vehicles have knocked out Ukr drones by burning out the electronics or jamming control signals. Russia responded in some spots with "wire guided" drones trailing a long fiber optic cable which could not be jammed.

I don't suppose it will be long before fighter drones are made to suppress other drones just like with regular aircraft.

You have never had real King Cake. No it does not have lemon or raspberry as a regular, that sounds disgusting. It’s plain, or there is a cream filling. That said, Rouses’s cherry one is fantastic, but that really is not traditional. It’s moist, it’s got crack sprinkled on top. You keep the King Cake knife in the box because you sliver it off a little at a time and then, oh my stars! The whole cake is gone! How did that happen!

Understand the difference between "drones" and "drones."

The ones we're talking about shooting into Iran are big. They are cargo container big or car big. They are not something you will surreptitiously order on Amazon and modify in your living room. The "drones" a lot of people talk about with the Ukraine war are quadcopters with a grenade or RPG or artillery shell strapped to them. Those you CAN order from Amazon, but you'll need to procure the boom part separately. (And, if you don't do it right, it will just be a smoke grenade, a la the NYC idiots.)

The first sort can blow up an airfield or a small building (a large building if properly targeted) or more. The second kind might take out a single tank, maybe disable an airplane, or kill a bunch of people in a crowd.
