The goals have been clearly stated - literally every CENTCOM briefing starts out with the goals: 1) Elimination of Iran's nuclear program and industry related to the manufacturing thereof. 2) Elimination of Iran's ballistic missile launch, storage and manufacturing capabilities. 3) Elimination of Iran's drone launch, storage and manufacturing capabilities. 4) Elimination of the threat to commercial international shipping. Trump should copy the text of the "failed" legislation and sign it. He can have the President of the Senate on hand to deliver it (that would be Vance). Vance can tell Trump, the Senate voted and it got a majority, and that means it passed. Then Trump can immediately get it enacted as law. Posted by: gKWVE at March 11, 2026 04:44 PM (gKWVE) 28

_______________________ I've been saying over the last few weeks that the EU is neck deep in Iran's ability to have continued to exist in their Theocratic Authoritarianistic state. And, now they are in a bit of a pickle. Do they support the US efforts in the hopes that the US shows leniency in their complicity and ignoring of sanctions (or support for protestors)....or do they hope against all hope that a conclusion can occur that doesn't include Iran's confidential documents and financial records becoming public knowledge. Because, I suspect their is a virtual army of MP's and bureaucrats receiving payments either directly or indirectly from Iran (which ties into the Islamiphication of the EU and the UK). As he got older, as all of us do, his confirmation bias failed to recognize the things that didn't fit his schema and exaggerated the things that did. Another minor point I want to stress.
Venezuela and Iran would have been deal killers for the defense of Taiwan. If they started trouble in parallel, our carriers would have to go to the gulfs (persian and american) to protect shipping there instead of the Pacific. China had a strategy of having enough worldwide allies that the US military would be spread too thin. Again, this is why I think Trump is being very strategic and focusing on China, by countering their plans. Posted by: bob (moron incognitus) at March 11, 2026 05:32 PM (948bW) 164
From the production graphs, it looks like it took 3 years for Kuwait to recover to pre-war levels in the 90s.
But that was just wells blown up. If distribution points are destroyed, they require a lot of long-lead items like valves and pumps. All of it probably out of China. I guess that would be another battle with Chinese companies trying to control the economy from the inside using a belt and road strategy of owning the stuff they build.
