=====================
The SAVE Act is now the central struggle between the Uniparty Senate, as represented by the painfully and stubbornly clumsy John Thune, and the citizens of the United States, virtually all of whom support the bill. The bills virtues or mistakes no longer matter, it has a political importance from the Uniparty battling to control the Senate GOPe caucus.

36 Evening and morning for a Tiu's Day to all the late toilers, early risers, insomaniacals, and even you planet-wreckers!

Amazingly, a certain big black cat whose name rhymes with "curling" did NOT leap across me and kick me awake at 3:30. He did trill and jump up next to me; I pulled him gently down next to me, and closed my eyes, determined to go back to sleep. And somehow I did, for a whole extra hour. Two days in a row, yet! Whoo-hoo!

How did everybody's First Day on DST 2026 go?

42 There are remits of company towns where I grew up in upstate NY. A large building which held the company store with offices upstairs. 50 or more all identical houses lining the streets in the town. Modest houses, which most have survived to this day. The factory is long gone, and most people will drive through it and not realize what it all was. I read where the workers even got free health care, dental care, etc. I believe this was true through out the north east and mid west. Especially in the coal mining areas.

You'll catch up, G & R.

Stirling has always been a snuggler. This 3:30 am leaping/kicking entertainment of his is fairly new -- only in the last few months. If he'd done this while I was still working, I'd have had to lock him out of the bedroom.

Which I did when he was a small kitten; he wanted to milk-tread me and even try to nurse my arm. I'd let him into the bedroom when I got up, and he'd throw himself on me every morning.

51 I'll work out today and tomorrow, skip Thursday -- it will probably be raining in the am -- and finish out the week on Friday.

I'm trying the classic New England farmer's "early morning aches and pains" panacea: apple cider vinegar and honey dissolved in a glass of water. Since honey does not dissolve well in cold water, last night I heated some water, mixed the glassful, and put it in the refrigerator to drink when I got up. I'll make up another dose just before dinner. Maybe it will help, along with coffee and the workout, to ease those niggling aches. And the honey may give me some more workout energy!

53 Now Politico implies Trump might be willing to save John Cornyn if the Senate passes the Save Act.

It will be interesting to see who Cornyn's friends are. No one in Congress cares about their voters, just the Establishment and the Party Stewards.

So for John to stay, the other Senators who hate us and are gaslighting us about sponsoring the bill but doing nothing that even resembles sponsoring (eg advancing, advocating, etc.) would have to vote to take apart the very system that puts them into office.

What will likely happen is that SAVE America Act doesn't become law, John still loses the primary to Paxton and the remaining GOP Senate funds skip Texas in the generals and we in Texas have to beat the mega money put behind Screwtape because the GOP Senate wants to teach us a lesson about not electing their cronies.

I'm still fighting for the SAVE America Act and Paxton despite these bastards and will be keeping score.

ORIGIN
Latin, literally ‘it does not follow’.

62 Sleep is nowhere to be had after knee replacement surgery, an aftereffect no one mentioned to me in the lead-up but now I find is standard.

In desperation I ate a third of a gummie last night, something a friend recommended. At 3 mg, that is a very light dose of THC. For the first time in six weeks I got nearly 5 hours of sleep, for which I am thankful!

Anyway, for those looking for ideas on how to get a nights rest, gummies helped.

67 Is it AI powered or is it designed for reviewing AI-generated slop?

I was looking at some FDX solutions posted to GitHub.

What it looks like is someone took the OpenAPI yaml files (which describe the API endpoints) and had AI slap together code to host it.

It clearly is AI because many core models are described several times (rather than once and being reused), no database schemas are designed (yet they have code to pull from these non-existing databases) no way to populate the database (FDX is really more about exposing accounts, customers, and transactions rather than managing them)

It is an incoherent mess, and due to the size of the generated code, I'm not sure how many tokens are going to be needed to be able to do a competent PR review.

To me, it looks like a scam to generate more revenue.

77 mornin yall. A local store was burglarized by a man "experiencing homelessness". Now he is "experiencing jailness". I expect he will be back to experiencing homelessness by this afternoon.

This is why I will not go downtown. There are some nasty people there and the city refuses to get them off the streets. They say "we can't do anything" while continuing to let the tent city grow down by the river, blocking the bike and walking paths they built, I guess, for the people experiencing homelessness. We need a good flood to wash that crap away.

It's not a big city but it is run by Democrats. The rot has spread to the county and I can't wait to get out of here.

And if you really want to use ai in a coding app, googles antigravity is a better choice.
