On this most impressive military blog, I have a question, because I refuted (and ticked off) the woman who rakes on another blog. She has "sources" or reads crap somewhere and said the fueling plane had been shot down. That Cent Com is lying about what happened. She claims missile.
While I guess it could have happened vs the mid air mistake (and my God comfort the six families and may their souls RIP)...she said it's a lie. So I ticked her off as I have not seen this anywhere else and I don't like people's conspiracies. She's opposed to bombing Iran, by the way. We will all soon die of the lack of fuel. She probably hopes for terror cells.
She honestly may be mental and thinks she sits in with the President and Sec of War at this point, so it is probably not worth me commenting. I have twice when she's off the rails.

No, it isn't actually. Today is Sorta Kinda Pi Day.
First, 3/14 is NOT an approximation of Pi, it is about 0.214. And the Europeans, who use a dot for their numeric dates don't write it "3.14" because that would be dumb. They would write it "14.3."
The 22d of July is the proper Pi Day. The date is properly written (in American notation) 22/7. And 22/7 is 3.1428, which is pretty dang close to an approximation of Pi (which has as it's first 5 decimal places [and the ones digit] 3.14159).
Do not let lazy date people fool you, Horde!
(Also, why would you have this day so close to St Patrick's? Spread it out a little to make sure you have more reasons to celebrate.)

The historical recipes use Karo, but there’s a lot more going on with them than that, one of our guys at work was from Tennessee and his wife wod bring one in once in a while and it was about the best thing you ever tasted

Went to my first confession today to become Catholic.Kinda nervous due to college stuff but I did ok.
I am not sure what this truly says about me but he thought I was sort of funny (not the confession part); but before I left with my little booklet.
My husband helped me with the confession as how do I tally that up since I was 12 and baptized Presbyterian? It would be a a lot!
I make priests laugh after confession is a new flair. I am possibly one of their more colorful almost Catholics, but by acccident.

I know during the 2nd world war they flew in formation together, about as close as they could get and staggered in such a way to provide interlocking fields of fire against attacking fighter aircraft. They had mid air collisions all the time.
Army helicopters fly in close formation at night, under night vision goggles, which I did not care for.

From a TV point of view, the Capitol Center in Landover always looked like the game (Caps, Hoyas, or Bullets) was being played in a cave. I moved into the area in the late 90s. Not sure if it was still standing at that point.

It's a mellow blog otherwise and she inserts her war stuff and I am starting to debate her. Twice. She said I always do and that's a mystery and I reminded her twice in about a month. She also threw the gaslighting word at me which I never understand. I stated facts and that's all.

Still not happy with the crust (too chewy). Despite extreme and heroic efforts in prepping the dough, somehow the gluten is developing.
Apple, blueberry, sweet potato, hazelnut - all have been good when I made them. But the meyer lemon upside down cake probably bested them. None for an annual event this year because the lemons are ripening very very late.

You must have missed the Great Coconut Migration during the early Middle Ages, when masses of African swallows carried coconuts northward into Europe.

I used to say the same but something changed in the last year. Family conversions, lack of traditional services and music in some churches I tried (I like tradition and old hymns and not praise music, as that's how I was raised Presbyterian). Many like that form of worship and I don't judge and tried.
All I can say is something changed in me as I searched for a deeper faith and found it. It does not hurt that our son and family converted. My husband was Catholic who converted to Presbyterian,so we are going backwards, I guess. Another 47yrs of marriage will be grand!
Good books that explain it from a conversion perspective. It made sense when a year ago it didn't.
Find God is all I ask. You are loved. Find a denomination where you feel you'd worshipped after leaving, and a peace you can't find anywhere else.
This concludes this episode of Christy Becoming Catholic, a surprise for many I know.

Trust me, I am glad that's behind me. And I'm really not too bad, all things considered. I'd already prayed decades ago if I did something not good, and it was not murder or stealing. So I felt confident I was already forgiven but this made it more real and is required.
My husband helped as he knows all and I have nothing to hide. The priest was nice. I felt like a Special Ed student with my booklet, but we got it done.
I was nervous but did not act totally goofy. Ok,maybe a little.
At least I did not have to start from childhood and throwing my brother up the stairs, or feeding mud to cousins. Plus college. College was a lot and I did mention that as a sinner. Since college I am practically Amish and floating on a cloud.

Nope, pi is still transcendental.
Because the Japanese language is made up of a small set of syllables, he assigns them to numbers and makes up stories that have the syllables in the correct order as a way to memorize it.
Of course, at 100k syllables, he's memorizing a short novel, instead, so it's still insane.
It's an expanded version of a common Japanese mnemonic trick, where they use a subset of their
"1" is pronounced "ichi" or "hito", so "hi" and "i" are "1".

They can refuel each other, if necessary. Although there are only a small number (like maybe 10?) that are equipped to take on fuel from another KC-135R.

It is important because he could prove it in abstract using those hexes, which was important. If something is done from actual measurements, then it might be a happenstance that the measurements in the real world in a single instance are equivalent to the math thesis being dreamed up. His estimate was between 3.140 and 3.1427. Seems a little large margin of error. I guess they did not have wire then, but a limp (or consistent pressure) string/rope could be used to draw a large circle ... idk, seems it could have been close. 96 polygons still leaves a lot of extra space ... but maybe not enough, hard to say. I'm not going to try to repeat it.

Have also never had hominy except with grits. I like grits with butter/salt/pepper but haven't had them in years. Jimmie Dean sausage patties.
Gravy should be brown or red wine/brown. Maybe light brown if chicken and white wine with butter.
I have seen the white stuff for breakfast on menus but never had it. Cannot.
Also anti-poached eggs or runny yolks. My Yank husband likes the stuff I don't like this.Bacon has to be crispy.

If you were abused with the freezer case pot pies as a child, I can understand, but they are a yummy way to use up leftovers.

I come from a long line of ancestors who rebel. In this case, things changed and I changed with the times. I want traditional service and music and we cannot find it locally. My mother's Presbyterian PCA church remains true to the roots of the Bible.
I am going backwards in time as my ancestors were rebelling French Huguenots, and Scot's Presbyterians who wore their red scarves with pride (the origin of "redneck" rebelling against the Church of England). I may have some explaining to do in heaven and will be ready.

Actually, the "T" designation is for those that have a "dual" fuel system. They can be used to refuel SR-71s, which require a different type of fuel than normal JP-8. The copilot has to be careful with his switches to ensure he's passing gas properly. There are a few KC-135s that are refuellable, but very few used as refuelers themselves.
KC-10s are refuellable, and we regularly sent them to haul the cargo for a deployment of fighter jets. They would refuel the fighters, and we would refuel the KC-10. Spent a week in Bodo, Norway helping them get going back over the Atlantic. Good beer and beautiful women - who wanted nothing to do with an American after a month or two of Marines being in town.

Nope. Plenty of doctrinally sound Lutherans out there, too (and some other denomination parts). You won't find them in the largest Lutheran group, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). They're all over in the Wisconsin Synod (WELS) and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). (And some small independent groups.)

The failing lesbian knight video game that was just released has Aeta as the knight in question. The time is 1348, when the Black Death had just started to exterminate up to half of Italy's population.
In the game we are told, the tales of Arthur and the Round Table are her inspiration to be a knight. Le Morte d'Arthur was not compiled and published until 1470. So how could a provincial aristocratic girl in Italy know anything of the loose collection of English and French tales of Arthur?

Considering how many guitar overdub tracks the Scholz sound required did live Boston require like 3 or 4 guitarists? Not bashing Tom at all, he's right up there with the Beach Boys and the Ramones for creating a signature sound. I know. And the only B-52s left are all H models built in 61-62. But its still a fun thought that that has been going on for more than half of the entire history of powered flight. Or if a major power, heck any military, was still using B-17s as bombers in 2008.
