Look to the skies: For the first time a spacecraft has diverted the orbit of an asteroid. (Science News)

Two asteroids, in fact, the pair Dimorphos, which was the direct target, and Didymos, around which it orbits.

The deliberate impact not only shortened the orbital period of Dimorphos by half an hour from its original twelve, but slowed the orbit of the pair around the Sun by... 10 micrometers per second.

The experiment was four years ago; it took a while for the difference to add up to enough to detect.

The thing is, "copyleft" licenses in the GPL depend on copyright law for enforcement, and AI-generated content can't be copyrighted, at least in the US, so...

If he'd just renamed the package it would probably be fine.

Also, it apparently rewrote and optimised the inner loop of the code to be 48 times faster, which is something of a win.

I had Cosmic Ray Arvidson, at Wash U, who was the guy who did all of the imaging for NASA among others, and had some seriously amazing slides for every moon and planet and even the sun.

It was rather like dropping acid every week for two hours. Dude was amazing.

You can currently get a renewed 13 inch M1 MacBook Pro 16gb 1TB 699.

I think the neo is going to canabilize some of the airs sales but overall Apple wants to own the laptop market.

I’d be keen to see how an 8gb Neo performs with Paralllels and Win 11 installed and running the Office suite.

If it can do that well then Apple will have the best laptop lineup in the market.

At taxpayer-funded Harold L. Richards High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois, the MSA, founded by Muslim Brotherhood operatives, hosted an event drawing over 400 attendees. Project SALAM, an advocacy group with deep ties to the mosque network, helped make it happen.

This is a textbook example of Islam's EXTERNAL ATTACK on America.

Groups like these infiltrate public institutions with "radicals with a smile." They exploit our tolerance and "diversity" rhetoric, label any objection "Islamophobia," and quietly normalize Islamic religious rituals in secular, government-run spaces.

What starts as an iftar leads to demands for prayer rooms, halal food options, curriculum changes, etc., all presented as innocent inclusion.

Their main objective of Islamic organizations is to push Islam into every institution - schools, government, media, finance, law, and civil society - to gradually Islamize non-Muslim countries from within, replacing secular Western systems with Islamic dominance.

This newly released body cam footage from the March 2025 DOGE raid on the US Institute of Peace shows the insane resistance Trump faced from day one.

As Edward Coristine (aka Big Balls) told Jesse Watters last year, this was the “least peaceful” of all the agencies to deal with, and that it used taxpayer funds for private jets, an armory filled with weapons, and contracts with the former members of the Taliban (!!)

These are grown adults in full meltdown mode because they realized the gravy train was coming to an end. They referred to lawful orders as "jackbooted police state actions" while refusing to vacate the premises after President Trump issued an order firing them and sending in his DOGE team to clean house.

What you see in this video isn’t democracy, it’s an insight into how wild and entitled the DC swamp had grown.
