"Thousands" Of US-Aligned Iraqi Kurds Stage Ground Invasion of Iran

This morning I watched a military YouTuber, "Cappy," who said that the US and Israel were using million-dollar missiles to take out small outposts and police stations in western Iran. Such a use of pricey ordnance on such dinky targets would not make sense... unless the missiles were being used to clear a path for a force of ground invasion troops.

Which turns out to have been the plan.

Update: Commenters point out that multiple Kurdish sources are denying these reports.

Fat Democrat pussy Chuck Todd wondered why the CIA had let reporters know they were preparing a Kurdish force for an invasion.

Apparently he thinks you can arm, train, and lead 5,000 foreign soldiers and not a one of them will tell anyone.

In any event, this heads-up came hours before the actual invasion.

I'm glad there will be some ground threat. Protesters have been staying inside, as Trump advised them to. But they've been staging protests inside their apartments and houses, dancing and singing. And Regime thugs have been firing machine-guns into their homes.

That's why you need ground forces. These thugs think they can act with impunity, because our air forces are hitting missile carriers and buildings, not thugs on the street.

Some Kurds might warn them that there will be consequences for regime gun-men.

And we need to deploy a lot of anti-personnel drones, too.

BREAKING: The U.S. asked Israel to eliminate the IRGC commander who plotted the assassination attempt against President Trump.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth confirmed he was shot dead, indicating the killing was carried out on the ground--not by an airstrike.

According to Tucker Carlson, the two assassination plots were Fake News fabricated by Israel. Fake Jews, I guess. And now Israel "eliminates" the "Plotter" who didn't exist in the first place! So nefarious!

I'm happy about this:

I visited Lebanon on a junket arranged by Lee Smith. Most of the country is peaceful and just wants to live their lives. But the Iranian-funded Shiias in the south support Hezbollah. Lebanon has flinched from taking Hezballah on in the past, not because they love Hezballah forcing them into wars every two years, but because Hezballah will attack the rest of the country, too, using Iranian money and ordnance to do so.

I'm glad Lebanon now feels safe enough to tell Hezballah to GTFO.

The got roasted, and Walsh in particular looked like a dope since he had a pages of searches showing he wanted Iran whacked good and hard. Some folks thought they were grifting, but I think it was more complicated.

In both cases, they acted like their IQs dropped and they could not comprehend that there could be many reasons to do a thing, or that Punitive Expeditions are a thing again, and don't require boots on the ground to work.

But upon reflection, and seeing how things have played out, I think it was pure engagement farming. They will eventually come around, admit everyone is right, but in the meantime reap a rich harvest of hate clicks. This is what Tucker should have done. True, the Kurds have been longtime allies of ours and we owe them.

But they've also made it very clear that they want their own state, and the Iranian people know that as well as anyone. If they were to view this as the prelude to a breakup of the Iranian state itself, or even as a reduction in its territory: I don't know, but I worry that could turn public opinion in Iran against this whole operation, at a time when favorable public opinion is critical to making this whole thing work.

Instead of landing US troops, you use the Kurds to create a "liberated zone" for logistics and forward support.

I talked to a friend earlier today and while both of us our glad to be retired, we really wish we could be flies on the wall. I'd be wargaming the shit out of this stuff.

We agreed that deploying to Ramstein would have been cool.

Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd at March 04, 2026 05:58 PM (ZOv7s)

97 I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this.

Who knows, maybe I'm overthinking it.
Posted by: Dr. T at March 04, 2026 05:53 PM (lHPJf)

I wonder if the Trump Administration has had chats with any Iranians about this. Reza Pahlavi, possibly.

To be clear, I do not know this to be the case, I just wonder if it's happened. We'll likely never know since it would probably be wisest to be seen keeping Pahlavi at arms distance. At least until, and unless, he regains the throne.

I have no patience for people that want to play tough guy in public often augmented by substance abuse. I've seen people do that monkey dance and get their ass handed to them before.

And, just like fighting the po po, you will lose and mebbe get hurt in the process. They are always allowed X+1 force to restrain and remove you if you are misbehaving in public by fighting them. So the obvious thing is to wait for your court date to argue your case, not try to overcome security as they will win. They got the numbers.

Vaping was better, but it perked me up when I didn't need it at the end of the day. So I stopped.

168 If the kurds invade, this sets up a huge problem for Iran. They either:

a) have to just let it happen or
b) draw and mass forces from elsewhere in the country to fight the kurds. That:

1) Makes those massed forces an easy target and
2) reduces the forces need to repress dissent elsewhere in the country.

In college, being cool (I thought), I "smoked" cigs by bumming them off people at parties. Like Clinton, I did not inhale (I really didn't for tobacco).

I am allergic to tobacco and had sinus surgery after my freshman year of college. Once my mother suspected I had cigs and went through my purse when I was outside swimming laps. She found something else instead that I was smoking and wished it had been a cig pack.

Seriously, I don't know why they still loved me, but they did. Mostly because Daddy thought I was funny, I guess. Or I had some good qualities like not dating to add to their woes of their only daughter.

But. I quit smoking cigarettes in August of 2011. Have nkt smoked a real one since. I had tried to quit cold turkey before and it was brutal (5.5 years once.) After 2011 i vaped or did lozenges or the nicotine pouches.

Around the end of July last year, I decided to try quitting the nicotine. It was surprisingly easy.

Take that with a grain of salt, but there is more addictive in a standard cigarette than just the nicotine, I believe.

I don't think it's any great secret that the Kurds, ISIS and al-Qaeda are all recipients of US tax-dollars and used to commit political violence to create instability against regimes the United States considers unacceptable.

I didn't say anything that isn't common knowledge.

Hell, Trump had a guy that was previously on a terrorist list with a big bounty on his head over to shake his hand at the White House.

America does the same thing with Islamic extremists that Iran does with Hezbollah and Hamas.

Hell, even Israel funds Hamas to create instability.

All I'm saying is the "funds terrorists" line as some sort of moral justification is disingenuous. We have a long history of our CIA and military funding terrorists groups. Half the time they wind up killing American troops when we finish using them.

A protester was forcibly removed from a US Senate hearing on Wednesday after interrupting proceedings during an Armed Services subcommittee session. The incident involved Senator Tim Sheehy, a Republican from Montana, who was seen assisting US Capitol Police as they escorted the man from the chamber.

CBS News correspondent Alan He identified the protester as Brian McGinnis, describing him in a post on social media as a Green Party candidate running for Senate in North Carolina. He said McGinnis appeared to be wearing a US Marine Corps dress uniform.

Video of the incident shows McGinnis shouting as officers attempt to remove him from the room. At one point, he can be heard yelling: "No one wants to fight for Israel!" as he holds on to the hearing room door.

One of the early treatments for displacement of joints, especially legs, hips and back, was to use a cigar up the anus, which would reduce the tension and swelling from the rapidly absorbed nicotine. It was one of those things the French developed in the Army during the Napoleonic period.

However, I know you are probably not interested in that, and are most likely only engaging in blue-nosed signaling against a vice you have been taught is wrong. You would get along wonderfully with my wife.

-Deployed for the initial invasion of Iraq in 2003 and traveled extensively across the country.
-Made the All-Marine boxing team later in 2003 until the end of enlistment, tried out the year prior, but broke my hand in the tryouts.

Upon my honorable discharge from the USMC, I attended John Wood Community College in Quincy, IL and earned an associate’s degree in education from 2004 to 2006.

Both the nut running Maryland and Walz lied about their service. It's what Dems do.

313 Grandpa, quit easily. According to Mom, never even bothered him. He was just that kind of Man.

Pappaw- once he retired he just HAD to do something. So he smoked (he had smoked in the army.) He never really quit after he restarted. He always found a way to sneak one from my uncle's. He was a smart man.

Grandma? She was a terror when she quit. Fuck. Thats all I'll say.

317 The other nice thing about nicotine is it will help loosen your bowels up. So if your a lard ass and are all backed up, have a smoke. Just be close to a shitter when you do.

318 oh, wow.

US downed an Iranian missile targeting Turkey, which is a possible NATO Article 5 issue.

Oh, and according to RT, Putin says it may be time to stop supplying gas to European markets.

You know, my bingo card for 2026 is looking really barren right now.

320 Ther current vape tech of disposable units that fit comfortably in the palm of your hand are very good. Noting like what has been available up to now. The problem is that the nic content is off the charts something like 50mg/ml and almost guarantees you going to get a serious monkey on your back quickly.

Of course they are made in China but the Chinese invented vaping.

I encourage all long term smokers to try these devices out. I just lost a very good friend/former long term girlfriend to lung cancer and I am very sad. She was a chain smoker and wouldn't even consider switching over.

321 @273 Kindltot-LOL, I think I'll stick with ibuprofen taken orally.
I got a really bad flu in my early twenties. I was so nauseous I was drinking watered down OJ just to have something to throw up. My mother took me to the doctor, so weak I had to have help walking in. At the end of the visit my doctor handed me suppositories took me a minute but I was wait what? Suppositories? I asked them aren't those for your butt? He said yes and I said no way! I'm not sticking anything up my butt. As I was being helped back out to my mothers vehicle and wasn't looking the doctor gave my mom the suppositories and told her, "here, he's going to want these". When my mom dropped me off at home she gave me the suppositories. A few violent sessions of dry heaving I bit the bullet and up my rear a suppository went. I have never in my life felt such a wave of relief. I ate everything in my house. Didn't release the suppositories were nausea medicine.

323 Nicotine potentiates neuroleptics: navane, thorazine, mellaril ect. The state use to give the "clients" housed in the state hospital free cigarettes, blue haze hung over the day rooms. Those were the days that I thought would never end my friend.
