Supreme Court Votes 6-3 to Suspend California Law Which Permits Teachers to "Trans" Students Secretly Without Telling Their Parents

Two liberals and one libertarian joined the two conservatives and the pudgy RINO.

This is not a final order. However, it reverses a Ninth Circus appeals court ruling that would have put this lawless "law" into effect during the litigation.

The Supreme Court cleared the way Monday for California schools to tell parents if their children identify as transgender without getting the student's approval, granting an emergency appeal from a conservative legal group.

The order blocks for now a state law that bans automatic parental notification requirements if students change their pronouns or gender expression at school.

The split decision comes after religious parents and educators challenged California school policies aimed at preventing schools from outing students to their families. Two sets of Catholic parents represented by the Thomas More Society say it caused schools to mislead them and secretly facilitate the children's social transition despite their objections.

California, on the other hand, argued that students have the right to privacy about their gender expression, especially if they fear rejection from their families. The state said that school policies and state law are aimed at striking a balance with parents' rights.

The high court majority, though, sided with the parents and reinstated a lower-court order blocking the law and school policies while the case continues to play out.

Supreme Court rules against private prison firm facing forced-work suit from
"The parents who assert a free exercise claim have sincere religious beliefs about sex and gender, and they feel a religious obligation to raise their children in accordance with those beliefs. California's policies violate those beliefs," and burden the free exercise of religion, the majority wrote in an unsigned order.

The court's three liberal justices publicly dissented, saying the case is still working its way through lower courts and there was no need to step in now. "If nothing else, this Court owes it to a sovereign State to avoid throwing over its policies in a slapdash way, if the Court can provide normal procedures. And throwing over a State's policy is what the Court does today," Justice Elena Kagan wrote.

Groomer ghouls. They want all children to be gay or trans, and they want the state to impose this on them.

All of the communist groomer outlets claimed the Supreme Court blocked "protections" for "transgender youth" and diminished their "rights." In fact, the law was about ordering teachers to transition children against their parents' wishes and in secret.

transgenderulingmediacoverage.jpg

All parents should adopt a minimum level of religiosity, even if they're nonbelievers. The Court keeps ruling that only a religious objection is valid when objecting to the state grooming your children to be trans. If you're like me and you object for non-religious reasons, they say "Fuck You, that's not a good enough reason to be a transphobe, bigot. Unless you have some kind of religious basis for your trans hate, you have to let us groom your children."

So everyone with kids should just make sure they go to church or temple once a month.

I have a feeling that at some point in the future some lawmakers, as well as teachers "will die" as the result of some butchered, mentally ill "children" coming to whatever senses they have left and exacting revenge for the mutilation that was done to them, which incidentally didn't fix their problem because their problem never was fixable surgically.

49 Thought of the day.

Just before the recent SCOTUS decision on tariffs, the NYT released an article about how 90% of the cost was paid by the consumer as inflation (that is a lie.) Not just the NYT, but the entire media seemed to be softening the ground before a strike against MAGA -- did they have forewarning?

Going back to the Dobbs leak, I think I (maybe everyone) has been looking at it all wrong. Maybe what was unprecedented about that was that the receivers of the leak published the leak instead of just using it to inform their reporting. What if SCOTUS decisions have always been leaked to the right people to help influence the decision before release and maybe solidify waffling justices, and to set the narrative? Isn't that the smart thing to do with intel?

You don't announce that you broke the enemies code; you use the information without revealing the source. What if the main reason there were no repercussions from the leak is because it was routine? They can't reveal the leaker because they are all leakers, and they can't punish the leakee because it would reveal that.

51 I don't know how any state government can attempt to justify schools not telling parents about the medical condition of a student. Because ultimately, the same state governments will hold the parents responsible for their children's overall health including medical care and the expenses. Unless Cali's law also says the State will pay all gender change-related medical costs of the 'shielded' minors as a dodge around parental-responsibility laws.

80 This is an odd law and, while I'll take the win, I'm not sure there will be any practical effect.

Why? Because as I read the law, it's not about schools being required to tell parents that their child is "transitioning." The law prevented schools from telling parents unless the kid consented.

The Court explains it thusly: "The parents object that these policies prevent schools from telling them about their children's efforts to engage in gender transitioning at school unless the children consent to parental notification."

So the schools can go right on hiding kids' transitions -- almost certainly groomed by perverts at the school -- from the parents.

91 >>All parents should adopt a minimum level of religiosity, even if they're nonbelievers.

My understanding is that "religion" reverts to mean "conscience" and it requires no outward display according to case law. The courts can not say "well, if you go to this church, then OK, but only if you go more than x times a year." That would be endorsing or establishing or something. Not sure the rest of society agrees with me though.

The case for homosexuality primarily being biological is weak. Very weak.

But the notion trannies are biologically predetermined is insane.

And it throws traditional gay and feminist ideas out the window. A 2nd gen feminist would tell you being a woman is more then putting on a skirt of wearing makeup and...they aren't wrong in this.

But the FNM/4th generation feminism says that's exactly what makes you a woman.

Simple fix for this. Since few 18 year olds have collateral, require a co-signer, either a parent or the colleges themselves

And I take a step back, if an 18 year old with no assets came in and asked for $250K to start a business they would almost certainly be denied. But for an unnamed college degree they get accepted?

118 67 Also SCOTUS yesterday: was Alito’s short decision on pausing the NY redistricting a clue about the VRA Section 2 case?
Posted by: EveR
=======
Probably. The judge in the NY case claimed that Republican Malliotakis (sp) district was not diverse enough so ordered NY to add additional minorities from Dem adjacent districts as to make the district majority minority. Think the district centers around Staten Island from memory which is the most Republican area of NYC. District judge specifically used racial criteria (Ironically Malliotakis has Hispanic ancestry I think) to set up the new district lines. That is precisely the issue at stake in the upcoming Lousiana case where the Voting Rights Act as amended is running up against the 14th Amendment.

The VRA contemplates and allows judges to set up majority minority districts where a minority is sure to win because these rotten boroughs are set up that way with a majority of minority voters (IRRC 60 percent or so).

The sticky wicket is the phrase subject to the jurisdiction thereof in the 14th regarding natural born citizenship. Court allowing Trump's declaration to stand means that it has to deal with the question about a large number of people suddenly without citizenship (at least one or two justices Roberts and ACB would find that objectionable as mean).

By kicking it to Congress to define, the Court removes the legal issue from the courts but allows Congress the power to legislate and they can obviously do so in such a way that the law applies to future situations without taking the citizenship from past recipients.

Sort of legal muckery that Justice Roberts delights in.

Easy. The law schools have been 'LEFT' since the 1940's and FDR. At first it was economic liberalism and that spread in the 60's to social liberalism. As a result, only a small percentage now of lawyers can be said truly legal conservative s as in pre 1940 terms. 167 Going back to the Dobbs leak, I think I (maybe everyone) has been looking at it all wrong.

168 92 There is no reason to assume that John of Patmos was the same as the Apostle John, author of the 4th Gospel. "John" was a very common name among Jews at the time.

Hmmm, my research says The Apostle John is the author of five New Testament books: the gospel of John, the three short epistles that also bear his name (1, 2, and 3 John) and the book of Revelation. John was part of Jesus’ “inner circle” and, along with Peter and James, John was given the privilege of witnessing Jesus’ conversation with Moses and Elijah on the mount of the transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-9). His importance in the twelve grew as he matured, and after the crucifixion, he became a “pillar” in the Jerusalem church (Galatians 2:9), ministered with Peter (Acts 3:1, 4:13, 8:14), and finally was exiled to the island of Patmos by the Romans, where he received from God the majestic visions that comprise the book of Revelation.

Isn't that the John of Patmos you are referring to?

There has long been a strain in GOP judges that are pro corporate but quite liberal socially. Roberts and ACB reflect that. Gorsuch is an oddball where he tries to apply textualism but in such a way as to ignore past history and tradition along with legislative history reflecting what the words mean. So you end up with ludicrous reading of a law where Trump can regulate by stopping all imports, banning any transactions with a country, interfering in percentage of components that are US made, and so on but not administering a tariff.

The question was whether a tariff met the standard for being a type of regulation and most people would say yes, in common knowledge, that a tax or fee would be 'regulation'. Gorsuch argued that it wasn't.

It wasn't so much lying about who wrote it, but more like advertisement, "in the style of". Yet America is about the safest place in the world to be Jewish. Even with our "Christian fundamentalism" as the left calls it...

Gavin Newsome is currently throwing all trans people under the bus because we're not "normal" or "relatable" enough, so forgive my current lack of enthusiasm.

SCOTUS says there's a parental right to hurt trans kids, but not to help them (*Skrmetti*). conservatives always neglect the fact that children have rights and aren’t the property of their parents. They’ll be coming for women vis a vis husbands soon enough.

Being trans is not up for debate. It’s a medical condition, a disorder of incongruence between what the body should be and what it is...Many children discover this incongruity at very young ages, like 2-4...And the longer it goes untreated the worse the outcomes for the person become.

And that is an obvious answer and why Trump no longer is using the Federalist Society as the sole source on new judges. The Ivy schools are rotten and have been for some time, the past Scotus lineup included a judge, Robert Jackson, who never went to law school (but passed the NY bar exam) and was a private lawyer until he became FDR's confidant. Ditto for Lincoln who was one of the great trial lawyers in IL.

We need a broader source for Scotus than the Ivies which came about because GOP presidents used the superior credentials of nominees in order to prevent Dem filibusters of nominees. That is no more so we need to bring in a lot more judges from other jobs and sources as the US did in the past. Senators, governors, state court judges, etc were all much more common in the past on the Court.

The Second Letter of Peter was probably not written by Peter, and the same is true of several of the Letters of Paul.

John's Apocalypse was most likely written later than the Apostle John would have been alive.

There is also certified record of John's being sent to Patmos in exile and his authorship of Revelation confirmed. Again, not disputing, just curious.

I don't think knowing the history or authorship of Scripture casts doubt upon its Truth. Those who wish to believe in opposition to Scripture are likely to do so regardless of the history and authorship. Those who believe in the Truth will not be swayed by believing someone else wrote what God intended. Factual and scientific inquiry is a gift from God, who has given us reason for a reason, and there is no part of Scripture than disagrees with reason, either.

Eusebius is the earliest person I know of that declared that John of Patmos was not John the Apostle. Irenaeus disagreed with Eusebius, but the argument still holds, I believe. I learned this in college in the 1990's when I was studying to become a Dominican nun. I know the sources are mixed, but try Catholic Answers. The various apologists offer all the arguments.

As for Titus and Timothy, at least one of them (I don't remember which) was written after Paul was martyred. That doesn't mean it isn't inspired, obviously, so don't think I am making that specious argument.

Nope. It isn't Subject to the Jurisdiction thereof means that the original common law jus soli (US never used jus sanguinis directly--arguably it did in the case of two US citizens having a kid abroad or in US territories like the Panama Canal Zone).

The rule of common law is now bound by statutory, in this case constitutional, language that not all births in the US on its soil are in fact citizens. For and was applied so regarding Native Americans. Native Americans until Congress changed the law, if they lived on a reservation and were not taxed, could not vote or claim US citizenship. That happened in the 1920's and implies that Congress can and has dictated who is subject to the jurisdiction and who is not.

Luke 1:36 reads in part "And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son…"

The Greek word used here is συγγενίς (syngenís), which means kinswoman, relative, or family member.

Elizabeth was from the tribe of Levi (Luke 1:5), Mary from the tribe of David so the relationship could be maternal lineage as in both their mothers were related.

282 Meant to say Subject to the Jurisdiction thereof is a limitation on the old common law jus soli and thus the meaning of birthright citizenship is altered. It is clear from the debates in Congress over the 14th that it was never meant to apply jus soli to everyone who has a kid on US soil. Diplomats, for example, or Indians.

Instead, the meaning is to be found in the Dred Scott decision. Taney claimed that blacks could never be citizens of the US regardless of free or not status nor recognition of states as such. Subject to the jurisdiction thereof and the whole natural born citizenship clause of the 14th was meant to explain the US Constitution's original statement, subject jus soli to limitations, and to override Dred Scott and make blacks citizens of the US by being born here.

You shouldn't really need to. The trans thing is absolutely a BELIEF SYSTEM, not a mere rational decision. So, by their imposition of that system on you, it's absolutely a religious burden they are imposing. BECAUSE it's an imposition of beliefs. Established law says the system cannot require you to prove your belief is "sincere" except insofar as that you held it before and do not appear to have developed it solely in response to an otherwise equal imposition of the law.

The other part of this should be that parents are the sole arbiters of their children's lives, except insofar as endangering their health or well-being*. Except for this religious insanity of trans-ing (and homo-ing), parents have ALWAYS been the final decider of all medical procedures and such for their children. Heck, we had to have signed waivers to even take a Boy Scout to the hospital for an emergency during camp.

That’s not a political statement. It’s grounded in every decision they have participated in. It’s not that they have a different judicial philosophy. That’s demonstrably false, as there is no consistent methodology- save to consistently vote against established constitutional principles and render judgement to the converse.

This is symptomatic of the poison, of the disease which infects today’s judiciary. They are a branch with little established constitutional role for this very reason. That is, unelected judges can, and have taken over a role the were never meant to have. They’ve become a fifth column inside our government and until someone has the balls to take them to the woodshed, we will continue to suffer the ills they are forcing on society.

290 One sick issue i don't see talked about here is incest.

Children who are victims of incest, I believe, are susceptible to other perversions.

Children rely on the good will of their parents, family, and relations. A violation of that trust will do a lot of damage.

291 And Weiner's bullsh** about kids getting kicked out of the house and dying on the streets?

Well, it would be against the law to kick an unemancipated minor out of your house to die on the street. That would be CHILD ABUSE. And I can't imagine ANY kid not going to authorities if they got kicked out of their house - which would get them into state-provided care immediately.

F that lying a**hole.

292 Scott Weiner says children will die. The same argument trans activists used, "do you want a live trans child or a dead normal one?"
Posted by: Smell the Glove at March 03, 2026 02:29 PM (HYqoK)

The normal one is dead in any case, murdered by the tranny.

From the reports the major thrust of the dissent is that it ought to burn time and effort in a lower court for years rather than be dismissed now. That's disgusting, now that it is here you need to proceed to give your honest legal reasoning for a dissent, or vote yes. Wishing it to go away is not responsible.

294 And we are going to rue the day that ACB was put on the court when the 2A rifle and magazine ban cases are heard. She’s going to take a dump on those the size of elephant turds. Then Roberts will give her an assist that allows another 20 years of state intrusions on the 2A.

295 Most of the supposed "trans" crap is a social delusion,

-
There was a show on ID about a pandemic of Tourette Syndrome among a bunch of high school girls (and one boy) in a small town. After much weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth including re-examining a train wreck from 40 years earlier, the conclusion reached was one legitimate (or ligement) case of Tourette's and all the others were social delusion possibly exacerbated by synthetic marijuana use.

Seems premature since this current court has been pretty solid in striking down traditional bull***t ways the state has been evading the 2A.

Nah, you can feel the unity which brought us Bruen is breaking down into camps. The couldn’t really deny Bruen as that would be akin to denying the 2A all together. But you can sense that ACB wants to limit arms and magazines that people can possess or at a minimum put them further out of reach with government regulations or registration. Here we are in an age where we should finally be getting rid of the unconstitutional NFA and justices like ACB and any to beef it up by putting guns on that list or at least giving the states leeway to have them registered. I guarantee she’s going to take a big dump on the 2A

301 Groomer ghouls. They want all children to be gay or trans, or dead, and they want the state to impose this on them.[\i]

302 And I am really starting to like Gorsuch. He’s a legal wild man. He’s that guy at a party who says “hold my beer while I dive off the roof into the pool. On second thought, give me my beer back, it wont even spill”. Then he makes it and does a rebel yell and chugs the beer.

Last case in his concurrence he basically said, ok if Congress can’t yield this power to the president, we have a long work to do. He basically invited more lawsuits to take down any power Congress delegated to the president or any agency. lol.

303 I've said this on other forums recently, but I'm as atheist as the day is long. I could load up my atheist sleigh and deliver atheist presents to all the little atheist children all over the world once a year.

If I had kids, I would absolutely raise them in a church or religious environment. Whether I'm right or wrong, there are few groups that are more horrific than the militant atheistic Smugmopolitans.

And their logic defies logic. You want to NOT secure voting against cheating, that means you want cheating to happen. You want to NOT prevent third parties from sexualizing children against parents' wishes, that means you want to sexualize children.
