Hillary Clinton Claims She Never Even Met Epstein, Had No Idea About Any of His Crimes

Hillary Clinton testilied yesterday. Bill Clinton is testilying today.

• Former President Bill Clinton's deposition is underway in the House Oversight Committee's Jeffrey Epstein investigation, according to a source familiar with the matter. His testimony comes on the heels of Hillary Clinton's deposition. The sessions mark the culmination of a legal standoff with Republicans over the couple testifying.

• The former president and his lawyers expect that he could be in for a long day of questioning, according to a source. The Clintons and members of the House Oversight Committee have agreed to five topic areas for the depositions.

• Clinton traveled on Epstein's private plane at least 16 times, according to a CNN review, and was pictured with women in a jacuzzi in files released by the US Department of Justice. He was also pictured with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's former girlfriend and accomplice in trafficking victims.

James Comer revealed that, in addition to flying on Epstein's plane 27 times -- I trust his number more than CNN, which I'm sure deployed various bad-faith excuses to claim a lower number -- Epstein also visited the White House 17 times.

I'm sure Epstein just came as an ordinary DC tourist.

By the way, Mark Halperin claimed that Democrats are "worried" that Bill Clinton will have a "Joe Biden moment" during his testimony, because, allegedly, his brain is slipping.

I haven't noticed Clinton showing Biden-like dementia. Let me propose a suspicion: Democrats are claiming Clinton might be demented to explain away the many, many "lapses of memory" Bill Clinton's lawyers have coached him to claim, and to provide himself with a perjury defense for all the lies he's going to tell.

"A well-meaning old man with memory issues," redux.

Hillary Clinton claimed, like all of Epstein's pals do, that she had "no idea" about any of his crimes.

She added, "Buh Muh Trump."

Hillary Clinton told a congressional panel she "had no idea" about Jeffrey Epstein's crimes, as she called for lawmakers to question President Donald Trump under oath about his past association with the late sex offender.

"I want to see the truth come out," the ex-US secretary of state said after testifying behind closed doors for hours to a congressional committee investigating Epstein.

She continues insisting she "did not know" Epstein.


Nancy Mace says that the elderly alcoholic lesbian was "screaming" during her questioning. We've certainly seen her raise her voice when she lies. But I wonder if the attention whore Nancy Mace isn't counter-productively hyping this up, setting us up for later disappointment, as leaks about a "red faced" Bill Clinton yelling during his Monica Lewinsky testimony did.

And Ghislane didn't get her own grift, TerraMarr, until 2012, so the only reason you'd invite her is because she's your conduit to Epstein.

47 Depositions are drastically overhyped. They are almost always "meh" events. Witnesses lie, they pretend they don't remember, they tell outrageous stories, they blame everyone else, they play the victim, etc.

And contrary to popular belief, if a deponent is lying, there's nothing that can be done. Sure, the lawyer taking the deposition can show documents, press the witness, etc. But that rarely works if the witness is committed to lying.

I've taken 100s of depositions. I'm good at it. Very good. Among the best. But even so, in all those depositions I've only got a few damning admissions. Mostly it's bullshit, "I don't recalls," and "wasn't me."

Once again, technically true, because the island is too small to land that plane. You get there by landing on the larger neighboring island and taking a boat or helicopter.

I have no doubt that Bill (and likely Hillary) sampled some of Epstein's wares.

Bill, in particular, would fuck a pile of rocks if he thought there was a snake in it, and he doesn't seem like the type to check IDs.

There is probably no person in history who has been examined as thoroughly by as many people and where the examiners had access to virtually all even possibly-relevant information, regardless of how secret.

If there was anything, it would have been used. Even if it meant burning assets or having to do damage-control to keep it from spreading or to hand-wave away the involvement of allies.

The only way to conclude that there is something meaningful about Trump in any of the Epstein affair - be it sex, money or influence - is to conclude that literally *everyone* important in Western power was involved with him, and the collateral damage would be unmanageable.

Not quite. Senate has no germaneness rule on amendments so you could piggyback the DHS funding as an amendment to the SAVE act. The only issue would be House and Senate SAVE acts would have to be reconciled either via conference, a shell bill, etc.

One of the issues though with a talking filibuster is that amendments can be offered, even not germane one, by those holding the floor. You have to have a consistent majority willing to table those amendments over and over again.

I used to work for a Arkansas Congress critter during that era and my father was an elected official. So yeah, I knew the Clintons, Tysons, Blairs, Bumpers, Pryor, etc.

Arkansas was a very weird state politically at the time because of a very small and rural population and state officials had to run every two years for elections. Being rural, it meant Dems could not just hole up in Little Rock and rely on winning the primary or general elections, they had to go on the road all over the state for votes.
