Mom is doing amazing. Her blood pressure is stable, her kidneys are functioning perfectly, and her first biopsy showed no signs of rejection.
There’s still a long road of rehab ahead as she works to rebuild her strength, regain the muscle she lost, and return to full independence. But with each passing day, she’s making steady progress and getting closer to that goal.

It's necessary but not sufficient. The price distortions brought about by the third-party-payor oligopsonist system need corrrrrection as well. Putting purchasing power back in the patients' hands where it belongs would go a long way. Getting to that point with all the monied and powered interests that would fight it tooth and nail will be the real bitch.

The shure SM57 used to be the standard for miking up instruments, but some do sing with it. The sm58 was more for vocals. Great mic either way.

The Dems are enslaved by the primary system. Their base is completely unhinged, which means that only radicals can win the nomination, making them completely toxic in the general.
For people of a certain age, this was a huge problem for them in the 1980s. That's how Reagan destroyed Mondale and an otherwise pathetic H.W. Bush could dominate Dukakis.
That rout convinced Dems that the GOP was a shoo-in, especially with Bushs 92% approval rating, so Clinton was viewed as a long shot because the heavy hitters sat the election out, biding their time until 1996. But Bush had broken his promise on taxes, and Perot was hammering him on trade. And that's how we got where we are.
