The most incredible part of this Trump term is that he somehow has made the left be on the side of every single anti-American issue day after day just by running on and then doing exactly what he said he'd do.
People are dancing in the streets of Tehran and waving flags and thanking Trump and our left is criticizing him. Fetterman has more balls than 90% of our "representatives" in Congress. Posted by: JackStraw at February 28, 2026 10:44 PM (viF8m) 109

Thank you for the ONT on this great day! I have no complaints (for once). I did not go to a family thing due to my beat up face from the derm elective deal to make me look as if I feel face first into a rose bush. The SIL I like least made a snarky comment that I could have "just slapped some make up on it" to my husband. Not that she'd know how to apply make up, being bitter and mean and liberal. My dude said our good SIL I love defended me. I will try to refrain from making a potato voodoo doll since it is Lent and I am behaving. I did cut the Billy Joel song short above, altho I like him, due to the whistling. Some whistling I can tolerate, some I can't. I am not in the mood. Especially if someone whistles random noises. Or hums without it being a song. Get a room. I LOVE OUR PRESIDENT AND MILITARY AND EVERYONE! In the event you did not know. This includes y'all in the love statement. The interesting thing was people loved to talk big and threaten, but they always assumed that their threats were harmless. Like, just words. My take was that they were serious, and so whenever a threat was given I'd pause and ask: "Do you really mean that?" And they'd say: "Yeah!" So I'd pull out an index card that said "GUN" and go "BANG!" The referee would laugh and say "Yeah, that's surprise, no reaction, you got smoked." The weird thing is, this continued to happen. Yup, just like a good truck stop. They sell all that stuff cuz the drivers can't go just anywhere to get stuff with that semi in tow, and most of them also have separate pumps for cars. Well most of my truck stop experiences are in WY, Utah and the Dakotas, and a few would fail the super clean bathroom thing. I suppose in some places tourists and city folk just don't feel comfortable going to a truck stop and there may be places where they are wise to be leery. But I don't feel any need to go to the Buc-ees they put in north of Fort Collins.

Posted by: Aetius451AD at February 28, 2026 11:56 PM (bss/y) --- Okay, one last story. My freshmen year in college, the RA went around with a big box of condoms. AIDS prevention or something. So he asked how many people wanted, and guys had to show off with what their expected usage was. I was considered a scrawny Bando virgin, so when they got to me, everyone expected I'd ask for a few, but instead I said: "Give me what you have left." Oh how they laughed. But he did, and it was not long afterwards that I got a knock on the door late at night. "Lloyd, I know you have a box of condoms. I need one." "Sure, but you owe me a dollar." "Those were free!" "Yeah, but now they are mine. You gonna pay?" "Okay, tomorrow." And so the word went forth throughout the hall, that Lloyd had a case of condoms, reasonably priced just when you need one. I made a lot of money that year. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd at March 01, 2026 12:05 AM (ZOv7s) 328

According to Israeli sources timing was determined by one thing alone: it began at the point that Mossad had learned that Khameini and 30 of Irans top military and political figures were all going to be in the same meeting, in the same room, at the same time. They had waited weeks to learn of just such a moment. I started out (this time) with a nicotine vape. Nope-- puffed too much & OD'd sort of, and got sick. Quit the vape and bought the damned patches. It's... better now.
- - - - - - Cut off a plastic drinking straw to the length of a ciggie and "puff" on that when you get an urge (can also stuff the end with a filter to restrict airflow.) Just don't light it... ;-) Posted by: As Not Seen On TV at March 01, 2026 02:10 AM (YrUo/) 438

Got a heads up to be ready to possibly shelter but so far it doesn't look like it's relevant to Jerusalem area. In the meantime, late 10:15AM breakfast.
Went out shopping earlier. Empty roads. Siren went off while I was driving back home. Double parked, emergency lights and headed into nearest building for shelter. It's a living. Beautiful sunny day here in Jerusalem. Posted by: Biden's Dog sniffs a whole lotta malarkey, at March 01, 2026 03:16 AM (1o8D5) 464
Have any of the hostages from '79 spoken yet?
Posted by: davidt I looked up Mark Lijeks shortly before your post. No news . He's 76 now. The movie Argo was based on his book. He and about 5 others escaped the embassy during the takeover in '79, made their way to the Canadian embassy and eventually got out. His x account has been dead for over 10 years. Posted by: Rex B at February 28, 2026 10:48 PM (GI9/m) A great movie and a fantastic piece of spy work to help the 'Canadian Guests.". I'll definitely get the book! Is there anything good written by one of the true hostages? That would be fascinating. Posted by: LASue at March 01, 2026 03:17 AM (lCppi) 465
