USA Hockey Beats Canada For The Gold Medal...Canadian Transsexuals And Thought Police Hardest Hit

The relationship between the United States of America and its northern neighbor has deteriorated significantly recently, and while it is easy and lazy to blame President Trump's tariff rhetoric and reality, the real reason is that Canada is rushing headlong into a leftist dystopia, complete with Newspeak, legal penalties for Badthink, and a medical establishment that worships genital mutilation and euthanasia.

Canada also worships its immigrants, both legal and illegal, and they are busily changing the social fabric of the country. Islam, with its virulent hatred of Jews and Christians is ascendant, and other immigrant groups have brought equally non-Western cultural mores to the country.

And of course Canada's economy is suffering under the thumb of its leftist overlords, as the country slides into an economic malaise that has it falling far behind its closet neighbor in every economic measure. Their GDP per capita is now lower than Alabama's!

Instead of emphasizing our similarities, Canada has decided to go the European route, embracing China's predatory economic policies, perhaps hoping that Canada will be eaten last! With this shortsighted decision, they have made America an adversary...one that is far more powerful, far richer, and far more able to push Canada to the side while embracing our real allies.

So the American hockey victory over Canada in this morning's gold medal game in Milan is a pleasure! Not just because the happily patriotic USA hockey team won, but because we beat Canada, and showed them that we are not a paper tiger even in their national sport. Hopefully it will be a harbinger of future economic and political events between the two countries, at least until, or if, Canada comes to its senses and admits their subservient position to the United States.

Aging process limits. Produces a lighter and more neutral spirit. And for mixing in cocktails, it is good enough. Canada does make some decent ryes although it has been years since I took a drink of them or any other alcohol. Doesn't react well with my anti arthritic drugs so I quit other than an occasional glass of wine or cooking with wine.

Canadian Whiskey industry sprang up mainly because of Prohibition and has always been concentrated on export to the US.

Many of those operatives have likely gone native and with the rial going to crap, it makes it harder to control and coordinate formal operations. Hezbollah was probably a more effective catspaw prior to its decapitation by Israel but even there, the attractions of Shia extremism versus simply making money and living the good life has corrupted and derailed operations to some extent. Houthis are mainly a non factor in the US as many of the Yemenis here actually come from the South and hate the Houthis.

I am sure that Iran has some capacity to raise mischief in the US and elsewhere in the world in event of a strike but I think their command and control of their operatives has declined in lockstep with the rest of their society.

If Iran ends up run by the IRGC military dictatorship after US strikes cause the mullahs to lose power, the desire would be even less to launch attacks that might result in regime annihilation.

I think this is the old way of war. The new way to wage war, which has been going on inside the United States by enemies both foreign and domestic, is the Long March Through the Institutions. Same impulse within families between siblings. One does far better than another and that sibling resents and defines themselves by being the opposite of the 'good' sibling. Canadians took to defining themselves as 'not Americans' and this negative outlook means that America becomes a measuring stick of what is wrong in Canadian society instead of what is really going on. American society is racist to Canadians and thus anti racism by welcoming all new comers is appropriate. Making things is icky so instead Canada offshores its industry to China and functions as the not American distribution point for Chinese goods to the US. And so on.

Europe has the same problem as Canada.

Japan, ironically, despite being conquered by the US in WWII, has redefined itself by its own standards instead of trying so hard to be the opposite of America.

Hammond, Indiana.

The site is in Hammond (about 20-30 miles southeast of downtown Chicago/Soldier Field), close to the Illinois border, making it accessible for Chicago-area fans (roughly a 30-40 minute drive).

Hammond's mayor and Indiana Gov. Mike Braun have been very public and enthusiastic, positioning it as a major economic opportunity.

Ironically, Hammond, Indiana is shorter drive from downtown Chicago than Arlington Heights (50-90 minutes depending on traffic).

Time for me to watch Slap Shot this afternoon. I worked as a part time projectionist in the 70's. I ran Slap Shot for nearly a month and watched it every time I worked. Hilarious flick. The Hanson Brothers rule!
