It's nothing short of a miracle that everyone managed to survive a terrifying crash this week between a Jaguar F-Type convertible and a school bus. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, there were no students on the bus at the time of the crash. The bus driver suffered minor injuries, and the Jaguar driver was cited for following too closely. The crash occurred on Wednesday, February 18th, at around 8:50 a.m. A bystander captured the incident on video, which the police shared on social media. As the Jaguar rapidly approaches, the stopped yellow conveyance you can hear someone on the video say, “He’s going to hit the bus.” Not only did the low-slung sports car hit the bigger vehicle, but it became instantly wedged underneath it, with nearly the entire vehicle winding up beneath the school bus. Renee's family has mourned her for a very long time...including the last several years of her adulthood. They know the score. Its unlikely they were making daily trips to the memorial.

The idea is that you get 4 days in the wild to locate, track, tranquilizer, and put an ear tag on a polar bear. In the fall of 1992 it was announced that Ozzy would play Freeman Coliseum. Why there? It was county property, not city, so it got around the ban. But Ozzy was a gent. He met with then Mayor Nelson Wolff and donated $10K to the Daughters of the Republican of Texas, then the keepers of the Alamo.
And on Thursday, 1 October 1992, he kicked ass in what was my first concert.

I have seen a bus at 0 dark 30 framed by so many flashing lights of different colors that it looked like a roadside attraction and completely drowned out the bus itself. That was frightening in retrospect.

I think we are one of very few countries anymore who know the words to our national anthem. People from other countries recognize it as well; and at a hockey game in Canada a year ago the mic went out on the singer and the Canadians sang with the Americans. That's wild!

Musk has been working on AI for at least as long as robots. He's already gone way down the road with autonomous cars and he is constantly posting on X about the dangers of AI if it isn't done properly.
Not to say he is going to do it perfectly but I think he is very aware of the danger. Personally, I'm glad I grew up in the analog world. The brave new world does absolutely nothing for me.

Definitely worthwhile. It would be a lot easier today to learn it with the internet, and tabs, and you tube vids compared to when it first came out. I had to learn it by ear, on vinyl, and by lifting the needle every 5 seconds (in the snow, barefoot, both ways, lol). Nobody knew how to play it, there was nobody to ask, nobody had a clue.

I'm still here and not being productive!
I loved Scrubs, ER, and some of House. HATED Grey's Anatomy because of the star, who looks like she washes her face with used kitty litter. I just don't like her at all and can't remember her name.
Will look for St. Denis Medical. I do get annoyed,and I am sure Nurse does as well, when I see IV sticks. With the method they use they'd go straight through the vein and into muscle. Which in today's medical world might be ok.
I learned to be a lab tech in college summer jobs in hospitals. A vampire waking patients at 0600 to drain them. Phlebotomy. I looked to be 16yrs old but at that hour no one questioned me.
Then worked in a blood bank, and those needles are the size of nails (don't look!).
So starting an IV or giving injections I nailed it in nursing school while others got the vapors. Give me any vein and I can start an IV and do it without pain, or that's what they told me.

There are relatively few definitive European brands of anything. Europe basically gave up on life after WW1 and accelerated that after WW2 so they missed the computer, internet, and now AI revolutions.

1. Pivot away from world events/peacemaking and focus on one thing, and one thing only: JOBS, J-O-B-S and more jobs. And not just industrial, manufacturing jobs, but white-collar job creation particularly opportunities for recent college grads. These recent grads were sold a false bill-of-goods on the value of a degree and are now feeling lost and without any substantive opportunities to contribute to society and make a living. They don’t have hard skills like HVAC, electricians, plumbers etc., and need direction. If the sane, right side of the political aisle (or the MAGA movement as I like to call it) can capture this cohort, then the leftist social democrats are going to be very screwed, for a very long time

Haha, I used to do week-long hikes with a crazy friend and we eschewed those pricey dehydrated meal-in-a-pouches that you get from REI. Instead, we'd get cheap foods that will not expire until 4000 A.D.: Rice-a-Roni, Velveeta cheese, canned tuna, Parkay liquid margarine -- and mix it all up at night in a glorious stew. After a day of sweaty hiking and then striking camp, DELISH!

No avail. The healthcare system claims that they're still recovering from COVID.
