Hey Pixy,
If you get a moment, you might want to take a look at the ads that have been hijacking the "Continue reading" links on the front page. We're not just going to rob you for everything you have, no.. we also want everything we think you'll ever earn from this point forward. In the old days, mobsters used guns, kidnapping, and extortion.. nowadays they use bureaucratic overreach.. But remember, proles, they're doing this for *you*, out of some sense of social altruism, because the problem with capitalists and their corporations is *their* insatiable greed.. Float a couple million tons of exploding freedom off shore and then ostentatiously start picking petals off a daisy to decide if you're going to make a country cease to exist or not. Trump is like a millennial hipster who just found an old treadle sewing machine at a yard sale and decided to fix it up and learn how to sew for fun, and is actually starting to get pretty good at it, except instead of a neglected sewing machine, it's the American War Machine.
It's a neat little machine. Just a shame it either sat around gathering rust, or got used as a damn doorstop by the idiots who used to own it. Posted by: Warai-otoko at February 19, 2026 04:42 AM (06Hmj) 28

I think they get swollen.
If your AA batteries are swelling up, they need to be replaced, whether they are rechargeable or not, and whether they still hold a charge or not. (Also, I dont think I ever used rechargeables when I had a Magic Mouse that used AA batteries. I wasnt even aware that the mouse itself could recharge batteries.) The suggestion of the mullahs opening gas stations is a solid observation of reality. The Exxon convenience store run by some Indians or Middle Easterners where I used to buy gas has outdated pumps, so that the ethanol-free gas pumps at a gallon every 75 seconds. But I know better than to complain to the staff. I've tried: "Your Pump Sixteen, the ethanol-free, is broken or failing." I get a blank look or "Yah, yah, is ethanol-free!" I no longer buy there.

So the ridiculously simple Coax antenna 5G filter was delivered and installed yesterday.
The amount of pixilation went from occasional down to maybe half of one second in several hours of TV watching. So a marked improvement there. Scanning channels and reviewing signal strength shows a total of 58 channels coming in off the attic mounted antenna, and most of them with very good signal strength and SNR. So, for ten bucks, I'm pretty happy. And the HVAC guys will be replacing the thermostat wires with shielded, dual twisted pair today, and that should finish that project up as well. It still pleases me to be awake during the dark, early hours before morning when everyone else is still asleep. Ive been that way since I first moved to New York. I do my best thinking and writing then. During those early years in New York, I often got on my motorcycle in the middle of the night and went for a rideanyplace. There wasnt much crime in the city then, and if you owned a motorcycle, you left it outside your apartment and in the morning it was still there. It was wonderful on summer nights to cruise around the city at one, two, or three a.m. wearing jeans and a t-shirt with a girl on the seat behind me. If I didnt start out with one, Id find one.

@37/Wolfus: " so that the ethanol-free gas pumps at a gallon every 75 seconds. ... I no longer buy there."
I wouldn't either at that pump rate. Also: Most fuel stations have only two large storage tanks, and the delivery trucks only carry two types of fuel: The low octane (regular) variety, and the high octane one. Mid-grade is blended at the pump from the two. As noted in the video I'll link below, the line of gas stations the guy's referring to does sell ethanol free gasoline, but only in the form of their 91 octane gasoline. So, it might be worthwhile testing the high octane stuff at whatever station you're going to, to find out if theirs is also ethanol free. See here: https://youtu.be/c3if0nZqgvM The testing vial he refers to: https://tinyurl.com/6mr6b8jw I'm sure something similar would be available in the USA. EXCELLENT PICK! Whenever the Hoodoo Gurus tour the west coast, we are there! Their back catalog is stuffed with great tunes.
I wonder if they have anything new coming out? They also have an excellent side band, forget the name. Wait, think they are called The Monarchs. Posted by: Ted Bell at February 19, 2026 06:44 AM (OxoDL) 107
">End of British royalty on the horizon?
---- they seem uninterested in the UK's islamization and decline" They've been declining since the 1940s. They had an empire but decided it wasn't worth the bother to keep it. Anyone with any spunk was killed off in either WW1 or WW2. The colonial troops that fought or support both wars noticed that they had been conquered by a right bunch of idiots and acted accordingly. In the early 2000s, we had traveled to Britain to see the sights. London had already starting being more Muslim than British and watching the utter incompetence around clearing the area around the changing of guard (which is a recurring experience) was mind-boggling. I had discussed this with a dot Indian who worked with me at Nortel who had also watched the same clusterfuck at some other date; he was ashamed that his country had been conquered by that bunch of idiots. The British are like the New Zealand Kiwi (birds, that is). If you grow up without predators, you can optimize for the wrong things when predators eventually show up. AWFLs have done something similar, except the Kiwi birds didn't invite rats to my knowledge. Posted by: Richard Cranium at February 19, 2026 06:45 AM (ekpi1) 108

He said that the arrest means police can search the suspect’s homes and possessions.
The ex-senior police officer says that by arresting Andrew, police will be able “to access computer equipment, files, photographs, any other evidence”. He also says officers “can carry out searches of any premises he owns or occupies, or any other premises he controls, so there may well be searches in other areas as well” Posted by: 13times at February 19, 2026 06:49 AM (ltlJR) 114

BBC:
How long can police hold Andrew for? Our colleagues at BBC Radio 5 Live have been speaking to Danny Shaw, a policing commentator, about what Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest actually involves. Shaw says the absolute longest the former prince can be held for is 96 hours - but this would require multiple extensions from senior police officers and a Magistrate's Court. "We cannot possibly be talking about the same Britain.
Honest to God, did that just come out of your mouth? Is there not a word on the history of England on your cereal box?" Fine. Please explain to me how the absolute invasion of Britain by non-Europeans has happened with absolutely no effective push back. The pre-WW1 British wouldn't have stood for it. The pre-WW2 wouldn't have either. But, here we are with the British are being replaced in their homeland. Don't get me wrong. Our "special relationship" with the British started when they exterminated most of their men in WW1 and need more bodies. They weren't our friends in 1812 and they wanted to side with the Confederates in the 1860s which made them not friends with the USA. They had the balls to bitch when we showed up WW2 as if we had a duty to bail their sorry asses out. Our first President was correct; Europe can go fuck itself. The colonists left for damned good reasons. Posted by: Richard Cranium at February 19, 2026 07:03 AM (ekpi1) 130
