Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Politico: Judges Are Furious That ICE is Ignoring Their Lawless, Quickly-Overturned Demands to Release Criminal Illegal AliensOh no. No no no. No!Because left-wingers have venue-shopped for leftwing judges who will deliver lawless opinions. These opinions tend to be overruled when they're ultimately reviewed by actual judges who rule on the law and who aren't just communist agents of the Democrat Socialist Antifa Party. But the Trump administration has slow-walked or outright defied judges' orders demanding the release of people scooped up by Immigration and Customs Enforcement at an increasingly rapid clip.Oh no. It sounds like two co-equal branches have a dispute. Except... it's not a dispute between the Executive and the Judiciary Branch. The Judiciary Branch's power is invested in a Supreme Court, whose powers are delegated to inferior judges, whose rulings they can and often do overturn. So this is not a fight between the united power of the Executive and the united power of the Judiciary -- it's a fight between the united power of the Executive and minor functionaries of another branch who do not possess but 1/1000th of its power, and that only a temporary, provisional basis. ... A POLITICO review of hundreds of cases brought by ICE detainees across the country shows judges increasingly furious and exhausted by the Trump administration's tactics. "There has been an undeniable move by the Government in the past month to defy court orders or at least to stretch the legal process to the breaking point in an attempt to deny noncitizens their due process rights," U.S. District Judge Michael Davis, a Clinton appointee from Minnesota, said in a recent order. As a result, judges have issued more detailed and prescriptive orders to head off potential loopholes or hair-splitting results. And when all else fails, they threaten to hold administration officials in contempt. Asked about the deepening conflict with courts, Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin reissued previous statements criticizing "activist judges" for trying to "thwart President Trump from fulfilling the American people's mandate for mass deportations." The statement didn't directly address judges' complaints about their orders being violated. ... In recent days, judges in Minnesota have expressed frustration that even when complying with their orders, ICE has been doing so in bad faith. Detainees that the agency had whisked to Texas, for example, were being released far from home with no way to contact loved ones or lawyers, and sometimes without their phones, documents or other possessions. They don't have which documents? Their falsified papers? I feel so bad this is happening to you. Enguerrand VII de Coucy Meanwhile, CBS "News" whines that Trump must be lying when he says he's targeting the criminal illegal aliens first, because only 14% of the detained and deported are violent criminal offenders. But wait -- doesn't that mean that there are others who, while not "violent criminals" per se, are still serious criminal offenders? Why yes. Yes that's exactly what it means. In fact, of those deported, a whopping 60% are wanted for other serious crimes, apart from the obvious crime of being present in the country illegally. Less than 14% of those arrested by ICE in Trump's 1st year back in office had violent criminal records, document shows - CBS News. The "non-violent crimes" these Maryland Men are being deported for include child molestation, child pornography, human trafficking, drug dealing, and of course membership in a "Foreign Terrorist Organization" like Tren de Aragua and MS-13. All very "non-violent" stuff. Practically speeding tickets. But there's another trick they're playing, streiff notes. Because many of these "non-violent" criminals are actually wanted in their home countries for crimes that are very definitely violent -- like multiple counts of murder. It goes on to say, "The internal DHS figures undermine frequent assertions by the Trump administration that its crackdown on illegal immigration is primarily targeting dangerous and violent criminals living in the U.S. illegally, people Mr. Trump and his lieutenants have regularly called the 'worst of the worst.'" Even at this, CBS makes this admission, so perhaps Weiss has had an impact: "Nearly 60% of ICE arrestees over the past year had criminal charges or convictions, the document indicates. But among that population, the majority of the criminal charges or convictions are not for violent crimes."

I'm glad ICE is ignoring the tards.
Speaking of tards, I am having One Of Those Days. Maybe I only have them, thankfully infrequent. I wish I was not too old to be an ICE agent to take out my wrath on innocent invaders. I was going to make something crafty but can't find my dam glue gun. Again. So I ordered one from Amazon that will arrive tomorrow to probably be lost with the other two. This was my fun productive phase. For dinner I was going to make something new for the man who puts up with me being chronically tarded & disorganized. It takes too long. Tomorrow's dinner. As a RN, & I got paid for a job well done, I was super organized. Maybe that damaged the part of my brain for when I am no longer keeping people alive. I have to resort to another meal that I've made a lot but he likes, so all is not completely hysterical (he said, "You are kidding?" when I ordered the other glue gun and I assured him we are talking $9). However, he knows better than to mess with me had it been $100. For Lent I'm giving up being disorganized. I think that is worthwhile vs sugar (which I always try to give up). I'd given up wine/booze for January & today is a good time to start again. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at February 11, 2026 05:28 PM (WONhk) 53

The flaw in the 5th circuit's ruling allow Trump to detain migrants while their applications are processed is his administration's actions to invalidate the legal resident status of millions of immigrants. Visas, and refugee status were cancelled, immigration applications were voided. These immigrants already had been accepted for residency in the country, and the ruling denying bond should not apply. Controversial Remarks: During the hearing, Prejean Boller argued that anti-Zionism is not antisemitic and claimed her Catholic faith prohibits her from supporting Israel, asking Jewish panelists whether that made her an antisemite. She wore a pin depicting the American and Palestinian flags and defended conservative figures Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson against antisemitism allegations.
First I've heard of this. Since when does Catholicism prevent support of Israel? Oh, I see, she's watching Candace and Tucker. Posted by: SpeakingOf at February 11, 2026 06:00 PM (6ydKt) 175

----- That will probably happen. If not, a NYC jury will certainly acquit them. At first, I brushed this aside, because I thought "when it happens, Rubio will just send him back to VZ, and they will tear him to pieces." But that was before I knew Trump was planning to leave the rest of his regime in place. I kinda doubt he'll end up in power again - others will relish it too much - but I think there's a real possibility he ends up back in Caracas with a big villa. Talked with a friend this morning. He's a Hispanic/ Sioux. He had family over to watch the SB. His sister brought their grandmother. They decided to watch the halftime show to see if any BS. He speaks passable Spanish. They caught a few words that made them go WTF. They turned it off because Grandma came into the room and tried to use her walking cane to beat them. She's in her 90s. He said Grandma is still mad at him.

----------- Having done some very amateur stuff on road courses in a couple cars, I think people don't appreciate the mindset needed to keep one's loud peddle pushed down to the floor while entering a sweeper and hoping the car doesn't spin, or your fuck up and drive into a wall at 145MPH. In fact many many illegals detained have been released through habeas actions by inferior courts.
"Immigrants" are not involved in any way here, contra the absurd propaganda, er, "reporting". Illegal aliens are not immigrants, and most never will be. The entire judiciary emphatically including SCOTUS is lawless here, even violating their own made-up rules, as well outrageously ignoring express limits of jurisdiction established in actual law. "Activist judge" is most the most idiotic meaningless terms in current use. No, Trump's "mandate" has nothing to do with ENFORCING THE LAW. Such is not a matter of election margins or campaign promises. "Can't anybody here play this game?". Carry on. Posted by: rhomboid at February 11, 2026 07:08 PM (U/Byj) 213
