Now the American Medical Association Warns Against Gender Mutilations for Children

Pretty amazing that our "experts" just figured out that you should not mutilate children.

We should definitely trust them.

Note, however, they still support sterilizing artificial cross-sex hormones which cause irreversible effects, of course. They're just opposing the most visible and most politically toxic part of the Trans All Children agenda.

Another domino has fallen in the war against child mutilation as the American Medical Association (AMA) has renounced gender surgeries on children. This is the second major medical group this week that's taken such a stand. On Tuesday, I reported that the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) was the first to come out against sex change surgeries for minors.

More to the point, the AMA said that gender surgeries should wait at least until patients are adults. Prior to this week, the majority of the medical community and its professional associations fought against restrictions on gender surgeries and related care. Their earlier stance was to push for "evidence-based" decisions that center on what they had described as the unique needs of the person, regardless of age.

In other words, the ghouls favored making gender surgery decisions on a case-by-case basis, even with children. In addition to surgery, such decisions may also have considered pharmaceutical puberty blockers and hormone therapies.

In making its announcement, the AMA said that while it continued to support treatment for gender-confused minors, there is not enough research on the risks and benefits of surgical procedures for young patients. This stance is very similar to that of the plastic surgeons, which the AMA acknowledged: "In the absence of clear evidence, the AMA agrees with ASPS that surgical interventions in minors should be generally deferred to adulthood."

So what happened that has caused so much of this new enlightenment? My colleague Rick Moran covered an interesting legal case and a $2 million award that may have single-handedly destroyed the sex change industry for minors.

...

Last week, [a detransitioner named, supposedly, "Fox"] Varian won a $2 million jury award -- not an out-of-court settlement -- in this landmark case. The court victory for Varian has sent shockwaves throughout the medical industry.

Cutting healthy tissue off children didn't bother them.

But having to pay higher malpractice insurance rates? That finally roused their consciences.

If you're keeping score, there's one organization we have not yet heard from in terms of changing its position on the issue, and that's the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). In fact, when the New York Times reached out to the AAP for comment, it said its position on gender surgeries for minors hasn't changed.

The experts want to mutilate your children.

Always Trust the Experts.

52 This is CYA and the heavy hand of insurance carriers behind it. That $2M verdict for Varian is scaring the shit outta everyone in the medical industry even remotely connected to these butchers.

On its face, $2M ain't a whole lot, but this case was the most favorable of facts for the butchers. Lefty jurisdiction (Westchester), fairly well papered-over procedure, parental consent (!), a relatively older girl, proof that the girl was happy with the procedure for at least a few years after, and some evidence that the case was just a money-grab.

If that jury gave $2M to that girl, then god only knows what they would award in a case with better facts for the plaintiff.

A tranny writing for the Seattle alt-weekly "The Stranger" had a series of articles about trannies who fled Fascist Red America for Seattle.

One of them, who was a "NASA scientist" in Florida, mentioned that he could no longer get his "gender-affirming" care in Florida, because Florida medical facilities were worried about liability. (Florida passed a law making it crystal-clear that doctors and medical facilities were liable for the adverse consequences caused by chemically and surgically mutilating people.)

60 Just the fact that the American Medical Association is willing to spend time fine tuning their position instead of merely stating:

"Transgender is not valid. It is a symptom of mental illness. Have a nice day."

This tells me that they should remove "Medical" from their name. They are an "American Association" whose positions, actions, and edicts do nothing more than encourage mental illness. They are complicit no matter how much they tone down their rhetoric. They will remain complicit until they identify individuals claiming to be something they are not for what they really are....mentally ill.

True, but Big Law and ABA are also highly mercenary. Many are leftists because lefty policies favor lawyers, lawsuits, high billables, and big verdicts. 93 Does this restriction apply when *cis* girls get breast implants to affirm their gender?

19 seems like a stupid age to set, until you see it as setting a trap to force the question to the supreme court so they can rule that it's constitutional to restrict the rights of adult trans people, which will give every state chomping at the bit the precedent they need to open the flood gates and ban all medical interventions for trans people.

They won't stop at surgeries. Job restrictions, bathroom bans and suddenly we are insane and should be locked up for "treatment". More organisms for the peeedos.

Cisgender people need to stfu about trans rights issues. After witnessing ten years of cisgender "allies" making things worse by treating my right to exist as a football in their little team politics game.

Gay people wouldn't have their rights today without the blood of trans women of colour. Instead of trying to cut the T from the LGBT they should respect their history and those who bleed and fucking died so they can have rights.

Today, Vice President Kamala Harris and People For the American Way announced the revival and rebrand of the KamalaHQ accounts as a new project: Headquarters.

KamalaHQ played a critical role in the 2024 presidential campaign as the accounts helped to move key messages like Project 2025 from the “left bubble” and into the mainstream. Now, the Vice President is partnering with People For the American Way – one of the most storied membership organizations in the country – to build an effort to mobilize pro-justice, pro-fairness, pro-democracy young people against far-right extremism. This combination of these large social media accounts and an organization that has for decades been at the nexus of culture and politics will help power the progressive movement for another generation.

Conservatives build permanent organizing infrastructure. Progressives have historically built machines that dismantle after Election Day. Headquarters is the end of that cycle.

RFK has been saying it's glyphosate. In the US, farmers are allowed to spray wheat with a desiccant before harvest that dries it out evenly and speeds up the harvest/processing process. They typically use glyphosate.

I personally don't think it's just that one thing. Celiac is real. But a lot of people who seem to be wheat intolerant don't have Celiac. Some of it may be in people's heads. I think it's a combination of all three and probably more environmental contaminants.

Pushing the procedures to age 21 is better than what we have now, but this is still medical malpractice at any age. 173 150 Someone needs to explain this whole "gluten free" nonsense to me. Very simply, if you don't have celiac disease, you should not be avoiding gluten. You should be including it in your diet.

Those grains that are rich in gluten provide fiber, vitamins, and minerals beneficial to your health. In addition, gluten is a probiotic (the good bacteria) that assists in digestion.

Gluten Free diets are absolute nonsense (again, unless you suffer from Celiac Disease...and most of us do not).
Posted by: Orson at February 05, 2026 12:30 PM (dIske)

Celiacs are not the only folks who should avoid gluten. While I agree the numbers are inflated, there are folks with wheat allergies (who are avoiding more than just the gluten) and gluten insensitivity (where is causes inflammation - ala just like the Celiacs) who should also avoid it.

And then there are the low carb/Keto folks who probably should be seeking better forms of carbs for the few limited ones they are allowed/day. Although they wouldn't be looking for "gluten free" products, but an apple...

And if the Party changes their minds in a couple years, then the lawsuits will start being thrown out by judges, and then stop altogether.

1) the Bar has been captured as surely as the medical profession by DEI and Progressive thinking. The Bar runs the state education and licensing, as well as the ethics oversight. When the Board of Governors were old crusty lawyers that passed the bar in the 60's abd 70's it was a restraining hand, now that the Board is made of idiots who passed the bar after 2001 it acts like a Methhead on a stolen D6

2) Progressive education, especially the sort you get in liberal colleges, teaches that the noblest position is to be a fellow traveler -- and that it is far safer and the law probably will ignore progressive, high status knowledge workers who act in favor of the revolutionaries.

3) The other members of the Club's opinions are far more important than dirty little things like laws.
Attorneys and judges MAKE THE LAW SERVE THEM, after all, and part of that is easing their way into the society of professionals

Did you know that you are 81% less likely to have a peanut allergy if you had some form of peanuts included in your diet at 4 to 6 months of age? Now, no one has done the same type study on wheat (yet), but you want to take a guess at what the results would show?
Posted by: Orson at February 05, 2026 12:38 PM (dIske)

True, but 25% of all food allergies are ADULT onset...and those tend to be related to the onset of auto-immune conditions in the adults of some type or another and/or a leaky gut type syndrome.

So, we can fix most kid allergies, but adult ones are much more tricky. It's hard convincing the human body's immune system that something it identified as an enemy is really a friend once you've hit adulthood.

264 RFK has been saying it's glyphosate.

Posted by: bonhomme

Glyphosate is more commonly known as RoundUp. A weedkiller. Nice stuff to eat. Monsanto has been genetically modifying corn to produce this stuff without having to spray it.

I am certain that the 'food allergies' we are seeing are not from the food, but from the chemicals sprayed on them, or inserted into the nucleus.

304 254 Certainly the lawsuit win prompted these changes. But I also think that "transgender" being no longer trendy amongst the youths is also part of it. Lots of teachers talk about how a quarter of their classes used to claim it and now they don't have any at all.

99% of these were performative anyway, maybe the ones with true dysphorias can get some mental help now.
Posted by: Guy Mohawk at February 05, 2026 12:45 PM (n5tGW)

This also pisses me off, and not just as to gender dysphoria but to a whole host of other mental disorders like OCD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, autism, PTSD, Tourette's, and the like. They went from being identifiable mental disorders that needed treatment or management to being trendy, clout-builders, status symbols, entire identities. Claiming to have these things became a fad, and the health care industry instead of clamping down and saying "no these are real problems and you should play-act at them" just said "OK!" and started exploiting it to make a buck. And it doubly pisses me off because it trivializes REAL incidences of these disorders, which can be really quite awful, and makes people be dismissive of real cases. A pox upon all their crotches.

There is some research going along the idea that it is "leaky gut" that allows gut contents to migrate into the gut wall and the blood stream, causing inflammation and other issues. There are a number of things that can cause it, some are Arsenic compounds, but there are also claims that DDT and Glyphosates may do the same sort of thing. It would be a secondary order thing, instead of a "poison by multiple sources ingested separately" so it is harder to pin down.
Whatever you think about it, it is part of the Carnivore diet that some people seem to be having luck with in reducing their inflammation.

This is actually much worse for doctors than saying "must" wait. That means it is a judgement call, and that's where you can be sued...because someone is unhappy with the result and questions your judgement. If the guidance says "no surgery until age 19" you're golden (assuming you don't do the surgery on someone under 19).

Of course, that means activists can pressure individual doctors, instead of the AMA...

Would The Implanted become paralyzed by choice like some linguistic Buridan's Ass, and simply give up even trying to communicate verbally altogether? They've always bounced between art preservation and straight commerce.

The Rock and Armageddon aren't in the collection because of their artistic merits.

But they went off the rails a few years ago for DEI reasons and actually have come back in some solid ways. They're bringing back the Eclipse series, for one, on Blu-ray. Those minor Lubitsch musicals won't sell many copies, but it's good to have them in HD.

And then they're the only label who can sell Killers of the Flower Moon, which seems to sit on the border between the two mindsets.

But another part I think is more sinister. I think that we're either being deliberately poisoned by China and/or the preservatives and all the crap put into our food is damaging our systems.

I mix it with Crossbow to wipe out blackberry vines. And pretty much anything else it touches, so fast you can almost watch it wither. Dangerous stuff but incredibly effective.

Only 3 grains - wheat, barley, and rye - cause that kind of reaction in people who are all of a sudden sensitive to it. But wheat is the main culprit.

Because oats ONLY get it tangentially - grown in an adjoining field, say.

The true gluten sensitivities are only in the grains which have 1 leaf per node, as opposed to 2 leaves per node.

And there are only 4 grains known which have that structure in nature.

Speaking of death cults and kids, this is why it has been retarded to spaz out nonstop about abortion in contexts where it costs votes. Fuck em, and fuck their kids. Worry about our own kids - who now are being brainwashed and groomed by the millions in places where progs have snaked into control. Ban abortion after you actually have secured power and stop letting hyperventilating evangelicals drive strategy based on feels.

483 But another part I think is more sinister. I think that we're either being deliberately poisoned by China and/or the preservatives and all the crap put into our food is damaging our systems.

Working in ag and in stores, I think people take a LOT for granted, and need to come to grips with the fact that no matter what we do with our diet, someday we will all die.

Deliberately poisoned by the PRC? Um, how?
The people who are shrieking about evil preservatives now will be shrieking even louder over the ultimate preservative that we can use, but people hate though we do in fact need it - salt.

America and other places need to experience a famine, if for no other reason to stop taking things for granted.

The show is only moderately woke but, such as it is, that plus the other Mary Sue writing is putting me off.
