First Case of Sex Change "Detransitioner" Suing Doctors Results in $4 Million Malpractice Payout
These cases will be won on claims of lack of informed consent, and that's 100% real and 100% a violation of basic medical ethics. Sex "transition" procedures are sold to patients like they're used cars the dealership must get off the lot. Doctors do not explain all the many side-effects and poor outcomes, and on the other hand, they claim that the procedures are basically magical and will cure all of the patient's mental illnesses. One major adverse outcome they refuse to discuss with patients is the fact that many will seek to detransition -- they pretend that detransitioners don't exist and if they do exist they're just brainwashed by MAGA supremacists. Failing to tell patients about the actual rates of transition-regret, and the fact that these procedures are essentially irreversible and will leave patients "disfigured" for life, is a violation of the duty of care a doctor owes to a patient.Jurors on Jan. 30 found a psychologist and surgeon liable for malpractice after they supported and performed breast removal surgery on a 16-year-old girl who at the time identified as transgender. Jurors awarded Fox Varian, now 22 and no longer identifying as transgender, $2 million in damages, with $1.6 million for past and future pain and suffering, and another $400,000 for future medical expenses. The jurors found that in many respects the surgeon and psychologist had skipped important steps when evaluating if she should go forward with the surgery and had not adequately communicated with each other. These missteps were a "departure from the standard of care," they decided. During closing arguments, Varian's attorney Adam Deutsch had asked the jury for $8 million in damages. To justify that sum, he quoted earlier testimony where Varian described her reaction to seeing her post-surgery chest. "I immediately had a thought that this was wrong, and it couldn't be true," Varian said. She also said that the surgery left her with nerve pain, which she described as "searing hot ... ripping sensations across my chest." "Shame. I felt shame," she added. "It's hard to face that you are disfigured for life."The RINOs will soon be passing legislation to block these lawsuits, arguing, disingenuously, that Conservative Principles dictate that they do all that they can to stop all lawsuits.

They will. Three main reasons:
1) there is money in it for the lawyers too
2) the results are in no way what is promised for the pain and isolation, both of being transed and then from detransitioning
3) most of these kids and families that go through the process are not able to forgive themselves for being party to it, and have to find someone else to bear all the blame for their feelings of shame

I suspect this all hinges on what they would describe as "pushing" transition. Are many doctors out there suggesting transitioning kids that seem perfectly normal? I doubt it. But are they extremely receptive to anyone who mentions it? I suspect yes.
Once a kid mentions they might be trans, I also suspect those same doctors become a nearly unstoppable force who threaten to call CPS, emotionally blackmail the parents by telling them their kid will suicide if not transitioned, doesn't tell the kid anything about the downsides, etc. I would argue all of that is "pushing" transitioning, though the Reddit hivemind would probably say it's not.

They'll stall the process. The Clarity Act was specifically enacted into law to give them that opportunity. "Clear wiill of the people", and "clear majority vote" is the the wording the House of Commons used. Then the courts get to decide what that means (all of which are compromised more so than in the US). They just need to stop the momentum of the movement to leave. Also, the Premier of Alberta doesn't want to go independent. She's on record saying as much. Will never happen. Equaiization payments from Alberta prop up the eastern provinces.

Decades ago, a little book from a supersized box of feminine hygiene products was given to many a young girl by moms and aunts. The boys were told stories of VD in the US Army by male relatives.
Films in high school health classes showed accessible dating & cleanliness protocols (a hoot even then) followed.

Lol, I know--I've given it a lot of thought over the years. There's so many great looking Strats that I always find myself thinking "Yes, I'd like one of that color (or type).
Getting to "50" seems like a reasonable number to stop adding, and switch to a 1-in-1-out policy.
But to ever get to 50 comfortably, I'd have to have the finances and place large enough to keep them on display. I think guitars sitting in guitar cases is just stupid. You can't play them inside a case, and most times when you decide you want to play you want to play NOW, not 5 minutes later after retrieving a case and bringing it back to the amp and plugging it in.

To be fair, I'm not sure the vintage guitar is going to sound better than a new custom shop guitar in ANYONE's hands. Once you hit the custom shop level, you're dealing with an exceptional instrument.
And usually there's a level or two below the custom shop where you've entered into "very good guitar" status. Joe Bonomassa does a video where he basically asserts that an off-the-rack new Les Paul sounds as good as the '59 (or whatever collectable year it was) Les Paul that is supposedly worth a ton of money. And Joe loves to buy expensive guitars, but he's not collecting them for the sound.
