Trump: "A massive Armada is heading to Iran," Ready to Strike "with speed and violence"

Iran requested talks with the US to avert a possible military strike. Iran denies they did this, but the government is just a collection of filthy primitive Satanic liars.

Trump transmitted his demands, in exchange for "talks," and Iran rejected them. Among the demands: A completely nuclear-free Iran.

Now Trump warns Iran: Don't make me do to you what I did to Venezuela.

A massive Armada is heading to Iran. It is moving quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose. It is a larger fleet, headed by the great Aircraft Carrier Abraham Lincoln, than that sent to Venezuela.

Like with Venezuela, it is, ready, willing, and able to rapidly fulfill its mission, with speed and violence, if necessary. Hopefully Iran will quickly "Come to the Table" and negotiate a fair and equitable deal - NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS - one that is good for all parties. Time is running out, it is truly of the essence! As I told Iran once before, MAKE A DEAL! They didn't, and there was "Operation Midnight Hammer," a major destruction of Iran. The next attack will be far worse! Don't make that happen again.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

President DONALD J. TRUMP

Iran has responded, per the NYT:

Iran responded defiantly to President Trump's demand from earlier this morning to "Come to the Table" or face possible military action. The Iranian mission to the United Nations said in its own social media post that Iran was "ready for dialogue based on mutual respect and interests." But it added that "IF PUSHED," Iran would "DEFEND ITSELF AND RESPOND LIKE NEVER BEFORE!"

Marco Rubio was asked about Iran in his Senate appearance today.

The problem for Iran -- and for us -- is simple: Their economy is a basket-case due to their using all of their money to fund terrorism and nuclear bombs, and the sanctions we have imposed in response to that. The people are protesting not just because the regime is repressive and evil, but because common citizens are just broke and wondering where they'll get the money to eat.

But we can't help their economy or loosen up the sanctions as they continue to build nukes and fund terrorism.

So there's really only one way to end this. Well, two ways: Either the Ayatollah agrees to stop building nukes and funding terrorism, or we take him out.

They refuse to agree to the former.

Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson continues attacking Americans for even speaking about foreign policy. If you object to Iran killing 30-35,000 of its own citizens, he says you're a monster and a neocon for not talking about American fentanyl deaths.

But meanwhile, he can't stop taking trips to Qatar and Saudi Arabia and praising Islam.

"I'm very comfortable being in the seat of Islam."

Because he's such a patriotic American and such a strong Christian! I mean, did you know that Christian support for Israel was heretical?! Tucker Carlson says so. In fact, he says he "hates" "Christian Zionists."

But he's a SuperFan of Islam. And that endorsement should count for a lot, for, as he always tells you when he's endorsing leftwing propaganda, he is a Christian. Or at least he became one two years ago.

Ryan Saavedra
@RyanSaavedra

Ambassador Mike Huckabee suggests that Tucker Carlson's rapid ideological shift is driven by money:

"Let's just take Tucker Carlson. That a man in his mid 50s, who I've known since 1991 when his first job out of college was in Little Rock, Arkansas, working for a newspaper. I worked with him for 6.5 years at Fox News in New York.

Suddenly, in a very short period of time, a switch is split, and he has a completely different worldview, and his ideological base has completely changed. That's not normal for someone in his 50s. It just isn't.

What happened? I don't know. Is it that it is more profitable for him to do what he's doing now than what he was doing when he was at Fox News?

He wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't. There's got to be, on all of our part, a willingness to push back, stand up, speak up. But to do it with facts, but to do it not with a sense of anger and hostility, I think that's a huge mistake.

If all we do is engage in the same level of temperature, then we're not going to be able to be successful. We need to calmly, but with a sense of assurance and confidence, push back on some of the more outrageous things."

His remarks here.

39 I guess you missed the point the Iranian people are sick of the repressive, Middle Ages bullshit. The Sharia police and all these other groups have been doing fun things like hanging women for being immodest. I guess Cucker Tarlson’s just fine with that too. Most of the protesters were also killed by militia groups, many from Iraq, who are their foot soldiers. We could have eliminated those fuckers and Trump missed the opportunity- just as he was telling the protesters to have heart.

That was an easy call. We could have eliminated a few problems with those strikes. Nope.

Keep an eye on the Iranian / Pakistani border. I suspect while Trump is making all these threats of action, the real strategy here is a siege. Cutting off Iran from any Import/ Export markets disallows them the opportunity to address the core problems of decaying infrastructure. The land route (through Pakistan) is currently shut down to Iranians. I suspect we have "advisors" there assisting and encouraging Pakistan in that endeavor. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see Pakistan get a late Christmas gift of some form as a payoff for playing along.

Worst job in Iran...a swabby in the Iranian Navy.

Bonus, Russia and China suffer from a siege strategy on Iran as well.

I don't think its bribery. Which means:

1) it was always an act, which i find hard to believe.

Or

2) it's one of the things I mentioned and it's a mental status change.

There was a kid i knew, worked for me. Always struck my gut as a solid kid. Hard working. Genuine.

Then evidently he started to run into marriage problem (probably not all of a sudden but it came to a head.) Come to find out he had a massive case of bipolar. Throw in drugs he started in on and all of a sudden my gut did a u turn (i did not know the above until after) and I did not know why.

People can dramatically change.

True, but narrow.

Our sanctions are pretty brutal, too. They're a huge factor in the ongoing privations in Iran and, combined with the recent uprising or unrest or whatever it is, Iran now has no foreign trade. It's currency has no bid. Zero.

That's disastrous and we were instrumental in that state of affairs. We should take credit for it. "There's a way out of this for you if you just flee to Russia, pay the vig, and retire."

I don't know much about it, but there's been one guy in the movie news recently from Iran who was tried in absentia in his home country for some major offense. I think he has to be homebound for a year, or something.

Iran does make movies, but from what I understand it's artsy movies. I assume they make nationalist movies, but I also assume that Iran has no interest in exporting them so the rest of the world largely doesn't see it.

Re "Christian Zionism". It has a meaning, deep theological topic, and the exact meaning can vary a bit. It's a complicated theological thing about the Christian church vs what "Israel" actually is spiritually in the Church Age (from the POV of Christian theology).

That needs to be kept separate from geopolitics and the modern State of Israel. Mixing the two gives us this mess we're in.

Disagree. There are certain choke points that will bring their entire economy to its knees. We know what those are, and we could repair the damage very quickly after the mullahs beat feet to Moscow. The problem for the Iranians is that they can't.

243 Seriously, Islam seems to be shifting their propaganda strategy on one level.

I say Konstantin Kisin talk about "moderate islam" and a few other people in the past weeks.

They seem to have a heavy influence campaign to convince the elite that what they are doing to the West is somehow different from the 109 other times they infiltrated and conquered a country.

I suspect Qatar is spending big money, and also using other tactics, to get influencers and intelligentsia in the West to say that islam is really not that bad after all. It is an op.

262 Lotsa arguments over the years that a nuclear-armed Iran might not be so bad, because they have to know their use of the nuclear option would wipe them out - same arguments that were used for not taking out the Soviets when they acquired their nuclear capability.

But Islam is big on martyrdom (which Moscow was not), and I don't see the Iranian leadership being particularly hesitant to pay the price of sacrificing millions of their people. No equivalence here at all.

265 What’s falling is Cucker tries to represent himself as some type of intellectual. A guy open to factual reason. And yet a deep dive into islam results in facts he doesn’t like. There is no proof or materiality to any of islams claims. None of it. You can’t say the same for Judaism or Christianity. Not only that it came out of nowhere based on some guys claims that were unfounded. The history of the people involved is not just corrupt, but they were despicable people who had insidious practices. This isnt God telling Joshua to kill people as he worked his way back to the promised land. It’s every evil articulated in the Bible. The koran is filled with garbage and commands to convert people by force or enslave them. That’s how most of the people who practice it today came to be. There’s much more but not enough space here to teach Cucker because I suppose the pay is too good.

Friar Tuck's usual cornball pronouncements. That said, I don't think modern Christianity's support for Israel -- as a religious matter -- makes much sense or represents the position of Christianity historically. The Papacy and Crusaders ran Christian states in the Holy Land; they weren't trying to restore Israel in the sense of a Jewish state.

286 What some may not understand about the difference between Christian martyrdom and Islamic tashhid is that the Christian doesn't get martyr points for killing others.
Emperor Heraclius played around with this idea when fighting the Sasanians, which is how we got Islam in the first place. The Crusades kind-of brought this back, but they didn't win.
"Just-war theory" isn't martyrdom, it's just doing what ya gotta do.

That was some time ago, and is a major motivator for Russia and many other countries (mostly the "BRICS", but not exclusively) finding work-arounds.

It is also the cause of a major threat to the US economic system, because suddenly "the USD is sacrosanct for international settlements" is no longer true. The shift aware from USD for trade settlement has begun, and it will hurt.

More sanctions, freezing of assets, hoping to limit their ability to operate internationally. OTOH, they can retaliate and keep certain European citizens in holding and continue to provide Russia with drones.

The EU didn't follow the European Parliament’s call to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist group on the EU’s recent sanctions list in 2023. It stated it decided against listing the IRGC then because of the lack of a court decision to that effect.

I don't see any differences.

391 saw a detailed piece in the last couple of days about how it was the contract the Teamsters muscled through, paying drivers $170,000 per year, that is driving all the layoffs. UPS simply cannot make a profit under the terms of that contract, so they're abandoning loads of business.
UPS just gave up all their Amazon delivery contracts. Amazon said "hey, how about if we sweeten the deal, pay you more?" UPS just said "Not Interested."

He's just a pure innocent victim who wanted to use his nursing background to help a fat lady on the ground.

405 Carlson is motivated by ego. I've seen him appear in a lot of political docu's, particularly "get me roger stone" is the one that stands out, and Carlson is featured rather prominently as though he was one of the king makers that brought about the rise of Trump. Really, Carlson was a hanger on who always managed to insinuate himself into the value of others. Roger Stone never hid what he did. Roger knew people, and he wanted to be influential so that he could serve himself. Carlson thinks that he's the one establishes the value to begin with, and that others need him.

Trump never would have met Stone if it wasn't for Carlson, explain that to me tyke. Trump was magnetic and Carlson recognized that he had a power that is being minimized, Carlson KNEW he would win, Carlson was SURE that he would be Great, CARLSON CARLSON CARLSON.

Another thing he does in every interview, is something I find so obnoxious, "I don't even own a TV" he says in almost EVERY interview that brings up his private life.

Yeahp, I'm from NWI, the reason Yellow Freight is Yellow Freight to be destroyed is because the state first destroyed the Big R in order to open the door for acquisition by Yellow Freight.

Teamsters got OSHA to gang up on UPS regarding heat stress. The agency was only too happy to oblige and try to force UPS as a whole to swallow so they'd have history on the books to force a corporate settlement for a non-existent law.
