In the late 90's I taught as a clinical adjunct professor in the med center. My 12 students a year were a minority of people who wanted to be nurses. The others were former EMT's and LPN's who wanted their RN license for better pay.
I saw immediately the difference, and not just my age, because some were nearly my age.
I became a RN at 23yrs old. The 50 of us I graduated with were put through a grinder to graduate (we were told 1/2 of us would not make it and that proved true). We all had the heart of a nurse, if that makes sense. It was an honor, not a paycheck.
While I am all for raised pay for nurses and teachers vs the NFL, these hollow vessels who base politics on care should not share my degree.
I did see that Bondi has told the State Board in FL to end the license for that one nurse. While it is Virginia, I doubt they will comply.
How does this beetch know their politics? It is not listed on information. Does she research every patient? If so, she's not busy enough. If you were assigned to me I would not care how you voted or your job. I was keeping you alive.

Fat ugly chicks, Indians running from malpractice cases, and orderlies from African countries are what you'll find working in hospitals as a rule. Sprinkle in a few Asian woman newbies in the ER right out of UCLA who are marking time until they can open a private practice.
I've worked in and renovated many of the older hospitals in the Western US. Competency, English fluency, and hard work are rare enough to shine like a diamond in a goat's ass in a hospital. I wouldn't trust most nurses and orderlies I meet work as morticians.
But they got lots of time to dance on the interwebs.

Just curious if anyone knows. While his age is not an issue, as many change fields, as I said... EMT's and LPN's...it matters at times.
I would tell my EMT's to look at the whole person, not the injury, surgery or illness. Because all of that depends on how they will deal with the problem and heal.
The fact that he broke a rib prior in a fight makes him more rabid. The second time he brought a gun. His parents told him to basically knock it off, but his martyrdom won.
DEI hiring is one issue. Do they vet anyone anymore?

That's not been true for a long time.

The FNM was desperate to scare people through threats to their children but people started to notice kids were fairly immune to COVID, rather then being able to publish long lists of dead kids the FNM had to keep calling people COVID deniers but with no evidence.
Until a child died from COVID. This was the FNM's moment! They got a bunch of pictures of this, I believe 11 year old, and started claiming he had no co-morbities or anything so COVID was going to kill all the children that didn't get the clot shot
But unfortunately for them people looked at the pictures. The kid was 300lb or more. No co-morbities my ass.
And then that story just...went away...but didn't stop the terror campaign to get people to clot shot their kids

I've known this for a long time. After my mother died, my mother later ended up marrying a nurse. She's generally got a mean and nasty personality. She'd always say she liked working with mentally disabled elderly people the best, because they generally never spoke, so they never said anything to piss her off.

She has an associates degree, and is an RN, and ever since passing her boards has been hounded by every employer to get her BSN, with an eye toward MSN.
(associates' and bachelors' pass THE SAME BOARDS to be licensed).
One of the ways management bean counters keep costs down is to cycle in as many new BSNs as possible, because they are cheaper than experienced RNs of any stripe.
The turnover in the profession is intense, with most credentialing their way up and out to positions that have little to do with bedside care.
ALL RN to BSN programs can be done exclusively online, which tells me yes, it is exclusively a credentialing exercise.
Even ten years ago, in her associates' program classes, the rot that is ed was in nursing.
She took an elective entitled "Public health nursing in a multicultural world", which she though would be helpful--who knows where she might end up, and who she might be serving? Good to know customs, traditions, etc that would make her a better nurse!

At my hospital chain you can get caught stealing opiates from patients twice. Nurses just get sent to substance abuse camp. You will get fired the third time.

When I was a new grad, a friend and classmate (who is one of the biggest liberals I now know) wanted to unionize. She came to me for a vote & I told her I could not, if assigned that day, not work & abandon patients. She was not pleased & I did not care.
It came to a 3 way vote:
Vote for her little union
Vote for ACLU (I was horrified)
NO's won
She was maybe a "real nurse" as a charge RN like me for six months. After this tango, the nursing administration put her as VP or something of nursing (I can't remember). Sort of a bribe to shut her up. She went on for her MS in nursing and to bigger things.
She was very smart, or at least very well spoken. She's gone "far" in her career while I just worked jobs that I liked (always part time) and raised our chimps to be good men. I had fun and was never career focused, altho jobs were created for me as I was smart, dedicated, and can talk to anyone. I can even be charming if needed, which I know is a shock!
I think this person may still be working as I don't know. When I could read her twitter stuff it was obvious she was a radical Dim loon. I could see her protesting.

In my experience, nurses are fine and helpful. It's the interns and residents that are unreliable, pathologically full of themselves, and won't listen to you because they always know best. When my mom was in the hospital a while back, I almost punched a resident in the face.

My sister in law is 75 and has been an RN for 53 years. She still works part time in a cardio ward at a suburban hospital in the MPLS area. She is shocked by the young nurses, says the same, that they're always on their phones, don't understand basic stuff, and most are minorities so DEI going on. She feels she can't retire yet b/c the cardio docs depend on her......can't trust the younger ones.

He's actually a terrible animator. His animation is uniformly awful. He was only ever partially saved by rotoscoping, and even then he still never added shadow passes so all of his characters look like they're floating.

I've worked in and renovated many of the older hospitals in the Western US. Competency, English fluency, and hard work are rare enough to shine like a diamond in a goat's ass in a hospital. I wouldn't trust most nurses and orderlies I meet work as morticians.
But they got lots of time to dance on the interwebs.

We are about an hour NE of Plano depending on traffic and the growth here is insane. 9 years ago it was a small town of 10,000 with the county seat and zero growth. We now have multiple 200-300 home developments that are either building or have been approved.

They'll want to look east of Plano as west requires WAY too much traffic to navigate. Lake Tawakoni and surrounding areas are still relatively quiet, last time I was out that way.
There are several small towns around that lake that could be considered. Work your way out a radius from there, I would think as a good starting point.
Depends on how far they want to drive.

Errr, ummm, no dear Martha, as anyone knows in N IL or E IA Machine Shed is a restaurant chain, known for down home family style food. And you can plainly tell by looking at the footage. A John Deere sign does not make it an equipment dealer.

Couple days ago I called around and local coin dealers weren't interested in buying silver ingots or rounds smaller than 10 oz. I'm going to assume because they can turn the larger bars around at spot filling enormous orders for delivery.
That seems to be the thing is that countries and institutional buyers are demanding delivery as opposed to 3rd party holding. Which many suspected isn't true, much like the bricks painted yellow in fort knox

It doesn't seem Ms. Good was affiliated with the SEIU. Following her death, numerous SEIU locals and affiliates (SEIU Local 1; 32BJ SEIU, and SEIU Healthcare Minnesota and Iowa) released statements of outrage, mourning, and solidarity with her family.
So at the minimum another union connection in her death, but unlike Peretti's who seems to have been a member of the AFGE. (Yeah, now suing the Trump administration, of course.)
Reportedly,
SEIU Healthcare Minnesota and Iowa represents over 50,000 workers, advocating for better pay and healthcare, and, yes, were in demonstrations like the People's March (Jan 2025) to oppose "fascism."
32BJ SEIU is also a large property services union with a presence in multiple cities, and involved in political actions against policies of the Trump regime.
SEIU Local 1: Represents diverse workers across the Midwest, advocating for economic justice and worker rights.
Again, often ANTIFA or not. It depends.
