Walz Agrees to De-Escalate His War Against the United States? Or... Not?
Apparently Trump and Walz had a phone call.
I'm not sure what Walz has agreed to -- maybe letting ICE pick up wanted illegals from their jails and courtrooms? Or is it Trump who's backing down and needs Walz to provide him cover by pretending to have given up something? Trump here says that "we're looking for all criminals" in Minnesota's "possession," but I don't see any claim that Walz actually agreed to this.
Walz' office said the call was "productive." "The Governor made the case that we need impartial investigations of the Minneapolis shootings involving federal agents, and that we need to reduce the number of federal agents in Minnesota," his office wrote in a release. Renee Good and Alex Pretti, both Minnesota residents and U.S. citizens, were fatally shot and killed by federal immigration officers in separate incidents in Minneapolis. Trump agreed to talk to the Department of Homeland Security about ensuring the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is able to conduct an independent investigation, Walz' office said, and also agreed to look into either reducing the number of federal agents in Minnesota or working with the state "in a more coordinated fashion on immigration enforcement regarding violent criminals."I don't know if there's any actual agreement here. This might be the typical result of diplomacy, wherein all parties just celebrate the fact that diplomacy occurred.

And those judges... I guess SCOTUS could do something, but they won't. Congress could do something but they won't either.

Trump is fighting a two front battle--first, it always made sense to go after the criminals who happen to be illegal first--less deaths, less crime, less drug dealers around (see the crime stats). Every person killed, hurt, or od'ed by a illegal with a long criminal record is a needless death or injury.
That builds impetus by a) denying the Dems their criminal footsoldiers for voter fraud, drug sales, etc., and b) it is a plain 80-90 percent support of public issue. No rational person wants pedoes, drug dealers, etc. Only Democrat intellectuals could be so stupid to admit that.
Going after Maria right now is the harder case to make for many voters especially if it turns ugly. Best to go after the rotten fruit first, and turn up the screws on the softer illegals by cutting off their money, benefits, making it hard to travel, and so on. Enforcement can then pivot to large employers as they aren't sympathetic to the public either.

The Chagos Islands debacle keeps getting worse for Starmer. House of Lords actually stalled the bill until Trump finally made Starmer withdraw it. In the meantime, it became revealed that the Chagos had a native population that the Brits deported to mainland India. Mauritius never had any claim other than the Brits chose to administer the islands via Mauritius rather than Chagos. The existence of an indigenous people negated the whole legality of Starmer being able to give UK billions plus the islands away to the Chicom financed Mauritius government.
Next debacle is likely to be fiscal with perhaps financial strain if Ukraine makes a peace deal.

No one here would believe that we would have such a strong GDP growth while deporting over two million illegals, raising tariffs, and pulling off the Iran nuke attack and Venezuela decapitation strike. In one year.
It is much tougher, in light of total resistance reminiscent of the Confederacy where the Democrats and their hacks in black are doing total RESIST at all levels to try to arrest them all immediately. Takes time, evidence, and key people to flip, to do that. And the GOP to nuke the whole blue slip veto for district court judges and district attorneys in blue states.

Not sure of the specifics but that was in part why the House of Lords kept stalling the bill.
