Dead or partially batteries will freeze, this is no bueno. “Batteries die in July, they just don’t keel over till January”.
A battery charger will pay for itself many times over. I find the old school special needs chargers are actually better in some ways than the talented & gifted chargers. Alternators are not really suitable to recharge the battery anyway, it is hard on them. Posted by: Common Tater at January 24, 2026 08:10 AM (PQwzA) 39

But it’s not a death machine (yet)… a little more ice and then snow on the way. As long as the ice doesn’t down powerlines leading to outages it’ll be a pleasant day indoors

California is ground zero or fraud. That's why Newsom is acting even more unhinged than his normal unhinged manner. Posted by: JackStraw at January 24, 2026 09:10 AM Agreed. Also, I have seen a lot of posts recently of conservatives as well as conservative speakers and politicians connecting the Democrats to the population replacement in the U.S.A. and explaining it as the Democrats' ticket to guaranteed election victories. I know the U.S.A. focus has to be stated, but I think the bigger picture is that this is not the Democrats' plan, but the WEF plan for all western nations. Which is obvious when you see almost every western nation has been doing the same thing as the Democrats in the U.S.A. for the past 2+ decades. Canada, UK, France, Australia, most of Europe in general. And of course Newsome is a WEF Young Global Leader. So he's executing the WEF plan as ordered. In the blessings department, there are quite a few. Blood glucose has continued to fall, well within normal range. Dare I hope that my A1C in March will come in clean?
BP also good, which is surprising given the circumstances. The hole where my molar used to be is coming along nicely. I'm nibbling some toast without any problem. The bad tooth had already gotten me used to using one side to chew, so it's not much of a reach. Youngest has jaw surgery coming up in February. This is many years in the making and should correct her bite and ease the pain in her jaw and ears. She's not looking forward to a liquid diet, but is looking forward to the pain relief. Oh, affirm, busting pileups QRP is ... an exercise in patience and persistence ... (the only non-profane words that come to mind)
bands were pretty rough last week for sure; add hiking in the cold and I can totally see your point! doing more SOTA is one of my radio resolutions for this year, not that Wisconsin has a lot. Posted by: sock_rat_eez at January 24, 2026 10:05 AM (Cjt/F) 277
As long as I'm home and warm I like blizzards. They let me enjoy being an introvert without guilt.

But now, apparently it is okay to deny business based on personal principles.
My basic principle is "Get Off the X". If you are a hotelier or restauranter check your business insurance policy to see what all is covered by damage from riots. Since hosting ICE agents is begging for your business to be get a Yelp reputation attack, vandalized or fire bombed, it doesn't make business sense to take in a government rate guest if your business is wrecked and your customers are terrorized by feral mobs who fear no consequences or retaliation. Good morning all
Had a restless night so late getting started. Had this weird dream that I was running for office and sure to get elected, only to find out I lost by a lot. Almost like it was rigged.🤔 Anyway currently 13 here, feels like 2. I moved South to escape this but apparently it followed me. Unfortunately, the bulk of the votes come from retards and WEF is not directly on the ballot, so we are better served primarying out WEF-RINOs, then making it a D = misery, poverty, fraud and crime sort of election.
Posted by: Unknown Drip Under Pressure at January 24, 2026 10:00 AM Yep, the strategy to focus on local (U.S.A.) versus worldwide WEF cabal makes sense. Start off with the WEF stuff and LIVs tune out and assume you're a conspiracy nut. Focusing on tangible stuff people can wrap their minds around like the Somali fraud and illegals getting better benefits than American citizens and election fraud based on illegals voting and that can better penetrate into the brains with people with their heads in the sand about this stuff.
