Slick Bitch Gavin Newsom Has His Davos Speech Cancelled; Whines That Trump Did It
Scott Bessent Cooks Gavin Newsom As Communist Patrick Bateman

More femme than Fidelito.

Gavin Newsom was informed at the 11th hour that his talk with Fortune at USA House in Davos was canceled.

Newsom had been invited to speak on Wednesday at an event sponsored by USA House, which for the first time was recognized by the U.S. government as the country's official headquarters at Davos. But an organizer told his office that they had opted to not include any U.S. officials in the talk focused on CEOs and other business leaders.

In a private exchange of messages obtained by POLITICO, a Newsom administration official accused the USA House of bowing to political pressure from the State Department -- an accusation the organizer denied, while emphasizing the governor was still welcome in the venue -- in a microcosm of the larger geopolitical tensions on display.

Some clips from Davos. Trump cooks the elites, of course.

He blasts Europe for cheerleading the Islamic Reconquest of Europe:

And he blasts them for their cowardice and ingratitude:

He mocked them for buying Chinese windmills, while China invests in real energy production:

Globalist international banker and Liberal Canadian PM Mark Carey declared, mostly correctly, that the "old order" had failed. But he meant that Trump had "ruptured" the old order. By refusing to go along with the post-WWII foreign policy consensus that we cared so much about Europe potentially going communist that we had to give away trillions of dollars to them through unfair trade schemes to boost their economies.

He called for "the middle powers" -- a step down from the Great Powers, a step up from the third world -- to band together to take on the Great Powers. Mostly he means the United States.

He's very butthurt that America is no longer spending trillions to make the world safe and prosperous for Europe and the "Middle Powers" without asking anything in return, but instead now seeks reciprocal advantages.

Trump replied: "Canada lives thanks to the United States. Remember that, Mark, the next time you make your statements."

As I said yesterday, I don't really like Trump's deliberate provocation of allies -- well, ungrateful European welfare states -- until I hear the European response.

Then I get it.

Update: Thanks to Jane D'oh and Fenelon Spike:

Tangential:

I rewatched The Batman last weekend.

The central plot is about the Riddler exacting justice on the elite of Gotham because they took a billion dollar fund that Thomas Wayne had set up and used it to enrich themselves.

After the uprooting of USAID, I see it more clearly. The expanded spending. The lack of progress and even the drawback of standards of living.

I'm sure Matt Reeves would place the blame on Republicans squarely because Hollywood, but it's still just this cri de coeur about how government became a piggy bank for the connected over the past few decades.

Because the old world order ossified and corrupted to the point where there was no downside to just stealing outright.

39 Willowed, but super important to me:

>>> "I signed an executive order to bring back mental institutions and insane asylums. We’re going to have to bring them back. Hate to build those suckers, but you’ve got to get the people off the streets.”

I will say this...while asylums are needed, they NEED to be heavily monitored and free of corruption.

I mentioned in a book thread a few weeks ago "The Woman they Could Not Silence." Back in the Civil War era, if you were a man, you could get your wife locked away in an asylum for anything. Even just thinking too much. Elizabeth Packard was committed to an asylum by her husband for disagreeing with him on religion and politics. (He was all fire and brimstone, she believed in a more loving God. And he flip flopped to be pro slavery to appeal to rich patrons financing his church, and she was adamantly anti-slavery. Her views caused embarrassment to him in front of his flock, so he got a crooked doctor and a sham trial to get her thrown into an asylum.) Chilling read.

There is corruption and abuse in the mental health and incarceration system already. How do you protect the most vulnerable people who NEED help, when the system is rotten?

50 Newsom is attempting a Clinton-and-Carville-style triangulation strategy. I'm not voting for anyone willing to triangulate with white supremacy and fascism because both test okay with P&G or the Rothschilds.

Democrats deflecting to affordability and then choosing Gavin Newsom, who has colluded with utilities companies in California to fuck up affordability, repeatedly vetoing legislation that would put them in check, and legislation that would protect trans people as well? Fuck that.

He's an amorphous blob that tries to appease whoever is in front of him. This guy stands for nothing.

He won’t even win the primary. It’s hilarious the Right hates him so much, he’s way closer to a Republican than anything progressive. Both sides don’t like him, but the Dem establishment is shoving him down our throats

He is made of the same stuff Trump is. He just has tighter impulse control. He's not the guy to run the US.

Fuck Newsome. He's centre right, hates the homeless and trans people, and loves the rich and won't tax billionaires. I'll vote for him only if he's literally the only non-explixitly-fascist option

2 - It is essential that they be monitored for humane treatment of the mentally ill.

You evidently already know what's up, but if you want the evidence and an incredible history of America's treatment of the mentally ill, read Jonathan Rosen's book, The Best Minds. We have actually done it successfully at times in the past, but somehow the good will or the money runs out.

71 I truly relished Trump’s history lesson on how many times Greenland has changed, hands, how we bailed out the Danes and Greenland in WWII and if a contemporary war came we would have to do
It again. He was merciful and left out the whole part about how the Danes force sterilized all the young girls in Greenland up until 1991 and sent all the other children for reeducation in Denmark.

There’s a reason Russia and China are dumping tons of money into these anti US propaganda campaigns opposing our efforts. People need to sit down and STFU until They actually learn the history and what’s really at stake

72 It's amazing just how stupid the Congress is on economics.
Even the PhDs that go up to Congress to school them are totally incompetent. They latched on to a dialect of MMT (Modern Monetary Theory) that says that they can print dollars an it will have no effect, mostly because the paper came from a PhD that was a women. All male, female and androgynous economists who think that are morons. Having them school the Congressional morons in "THE TRUTH" is beyond parody.

Kamala wins like 95% of the polls of the Democrat primary she's included in.

++++
This is a prime example - perhaps *the* prime example, in the past century at least - of shooting the messenger.

Trump did no such thing. The Postwar Order had already failed and was in the process of collapsing. It started to crack up when the USSR fell and accelerated hard after 9/11 and the financial crisis. The COVID response was a massive shift out of the "traditional" Postwar Order and Biden's treatment of Russia following the invasion of Ukraine was uncharted territory on the trade/finance side of things.

*Trump* didn't dismantle the old order. The old order fucking collapsed on all on it's own through entropy, apathy, mismanagement, fraud and shifting priorities.

What Trump *did* do was be the first guy to loudly and bluntly say, "this shit is over and we need to figure out what comes next." Trump's policies didn't cause a collapse of the old order, they are a *response* to the old order collapsing.

Public airing of what are traditionally privately conveyed sentiments, in response (often) to concrete actions harming/endangering our interests in order to make a buck?

Rhetoric aside, Trump (and the Beltway) are still stuck in a pre-1991 inertial default mental framework, when it comes to NATO. The zombie alliance, bereft of any rationale for more than a generation. Thus the ridiculous attempts to tweak it (increase your defense spending!) when there is no military rationale or trace of political will. And all this predates and is separate from the mass migration that has made the politics of key members even more problematic on foreign policy.

No easy or obvious alternatives to the increasingly silly attempts to prop up the shambling zombie. But probably best to recognize the silliness, and the zombie.

They aren't at zero. Just very, very small.

What he is talking about has a name, and that name is empire. No "customs union" or "alliance" or whatever is going to get a large number of states to work toward a common goal in opposition to a large state. There are too many deals to be made and too much benefit to breaking the pact.

What he's describing *does* happen - in the form of the strongest of the "middle powers" conquering their neighbors and then either joining up or conquering each other. At the other end of that, you have a major empire and a great power. The king is dead, long live the king and whatnot.

Rhetoric aside, Trump (and the Beltway) are still stuck in a pre-1991 inertial default mental framework, when it comes to NATO. I suspect, admittedly without evidence, that Trump is aware that NATO is, at best, counter to the US national interest. He cannot, however, unilaterally withdraw us and Congress would never go along. elite (n):
a. the choice part

The masses are slow in coming to public judgment but once there, the elites and policy types are frustrated because the masses become immovable on some policies like not wanting Social Security changed or disdaining the Green Nude Eel and EV flambes.

Classic examples in the past, the Vietnam War, massive tax hikes, gas rationing or massive price hikes, inflation under Biden and Carter, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and so on.

Yes, somehow these lefties don't realize that this is very appealing to many people. Meanwhile in other threads the same people complain they don't have enough money, high prestige jobs, and nice places to live and its all other people's fault they don't!

Hillary's problems in 2016 stem from her being absolutely unlikable by everyone. Without the way being paved for her (and Sanders being bought off) she wouldn't have done as well as she did.

Biden in 2020...got schelacked in Iowa, and beat in NH to the extent that he didn't even show up for the primary. Instead he ran to his savior down in South Carolina (Clyburn) who paved the way in that state and all the big states. Clyburn is one of the kingmakers .

10 years ago, they barely managed it, when the DNC was far more powerful. The DNC actually gave up some of its power after 2016 because the cheating was so bad (super delegates don't get to make free votes until the second ballot at convention now).

All they managed was to create a superstar out of Bernie that's been a thorn in their side ever since.

The irony now is that Democrats desperately want that on their side. They want their own Trump to take out the establishment that they see as sell-outs.

Except that the establishment uses the language of the activist base and an outsider who could shake things up on important issues, like immigration, would get destroyed by the very activist base that wants an outsider.

If Bernie ran now and said that Trump was right about immigration, you know, his 2016 stance, the left would turn on him.

317 NATO made sense in bolstering post-WWII Europe until it recovered and thwarting Soviet Russia expansion. The economic necessity ended in the 70s and the military necessity ended when the USSR collapsed. Since then it has used US generosity as an entitlement that allowed Europe to pursue snuffing out its Western heritage, and as of late, handing the continent over to third world Islamic invaders.

Trump has it dead right - The USA by necessity needs to wash its hands of the Europe where it can and then use those resources to solidify control over the western hemisphere's energy supplies and strategic geographic resources.

It isn't that USA is suddenly unreliable. Rather this is the USA accepting that Europe is headed into a prolonged cultural, economic, and strategic decline rendering it an increasingly inept and incapable ally.

All Trump is doing is accepting this reality and doing everything possible to secure the long term future of the USA as an ongoing superpower. This is not optional because the Chicoms prime objective is the ensure USA fails at this. And odds on, when it gets rough, Europe won't be around to help.

340 There is a more basic reason that the left can't have a Trump.

Trump can to prominence by agreeing to do the things that right leaning voters wanted. Since the GOPe wasn't doing that he was able to supplant them.

Now, many D voters would also claim their party isn't doing what they want but...would have trouble explaining what that might be.

Because the left follows the narrative that comes out of the D party anyway. So they just say they want want the people that control the D party say they want.

Today its illegals and trannies rights. Yesterday it was a living wage and cracking down on men treating women badly. Tomorrow it will be something else completely. And the D voters will just pretend they've always wanted those new things whatever they might be...

So we should vote for him to plug the hole and fix it.

Cut to Biden's time as POTUS...20–30 million illegals flowed over the border, most likely. And the democrats were all on board with the brown people coming here to be exploited, due to crony greed.

We're not saying that Blue Lives Matter was behind feeding false information to far-left, anti-ICE protestors.

We're not saying we had teams comprised of HUNDREDS of off-duty cops and veterans volunteer to run decoy operations so far-left activists THOUGHT they were conducting ICE raids.

We're not saying they were in fact they were just driving around in what appeared to be unmarked vehicles with tinted windows... drinking coffee and listening to Guns and Roses.... being chased down and surrounded by protestors.

What we ARE saying is that if it DID happen.... it sure worked remarkably well in NINE DIFFERENT STATES, allowing ACTUAL raids to successfully take place unimpeded, helping support the capture of HUNDREDS of criminals.

This is a core problem with having government "fix" problems.

You give people money and status as long as they are doing the "fixing" and then take it away if they succeed . This creates a natural inclination to not actually ever solve those problems. "Don't kill the job!"

Hold on now. I'm willing to just fire most of them. Some can go to jail.

If we need to take it further, sometime down the road, fine, but for now.....

Or that as soon as the Euroweenies don't have America's apron to punch out from behind anymore, that everyone's going to realize they're a bunch of fags and their shit's all retarded.

423 One of my favorite things about Trump is how he ruined the political aspirations of so many asshole "it's my turn" republicans.

Romney...GFY

=============

Based what we have out there Jeb and Pence wouldn't be the worst picks. They both were good governors and both have praised Trump 2.0 for specific actions . They are not Never Trumpers. I never will understand the required annihilation of politicians that we agree with on 90% of the issues because of disagreement on the other 10%. If that was the case I wouldn't have voted for Trump 2.0 because of Trump 1.0. (who am I kidding, I would have voted for just about anyone over Kamala or Biden)

Pence is loathed in Indiana. Maybe part of it is the way he and his fam bailed on all the gas stations that made them rich when they needed ground cleanup, which the Pences decided would best be handled by taxpayer money.
