Cats being chaos agents. And if cats aren't able to ruin your day, they'll ruin the day of other cats.

Mini-doodle is jealous.

A baby platypus, also called a puggle.

Man adopts a shelter dog. The shelter tells him the dog loves water, so the man brings him to a pond.

Dog's owner is a big fan of the Three Stooges. Unfortunately for the dog.

Another dog podcast. A dogcast. This better not be AI.

For Duncanthrax. And more.

Making his own fun.

Wild child.

"Lathering the marmot's belly," as they say in the Navy.

Sliding into the weekend...

You made it through another week! High five!

6 CBS News is reporting that the DOJ has opened an investigation into Walz and Frey.

The Justice Department is investigating Minnesota officials, including Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, over an alleged conspiracy to impede federal immigration agents, an extraordinary escalation in the Trump administration's clash with Democratic leaders there, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CBS News.

One of the sources, a U.S. official, said the investigation stems from statements that Walz and Frey have made about the thousands of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and Border Patrol agents deployed to the Minneapolis region in recent weeks.

A Justice Department spokesperson declined to comment.

The only extraordinary escalation is on Walz and Frey's part, openly calling to defy federal law. That's been settled since the Civil War.

21 The Golden chasing the deer in the bottom video looks like our Shelby. He probably would have been afraid of the deer, however.

He had social issues and would foam at the mouth like he had rabies with other dogs on walks. Bless his sweet heart.

His best friend was a squirrel who hung out on the roof of the pool screen. They had their games. When Shelby died the squirrel missed him.

Sweetest doggie ever and can't be replaced. We have grand-dogs now.

23 Penguins rarely "stick" the landing. Being clumsy and wingless, they can neither fly nor land gracefully.

A young penguin's body weight can be made up of over 75% poop. As it's primary diet consists of rotting regurgitated fish, a 100' radius "exclusion zone" is recommended for all observers.

28 WTF is up with Facebook? Today it declared that I had violated some community standard. I never put anything on Facebook that isn't positively vanilla with occasional unicorn farts. Then it asked me to do a selfie to confirm I was human, which I did, although I have no idea why they would want to see that. Then they declared that I was still not meeting their standards and there is no recourse whatsoever. Fuckers. No way to find out why, or who decided to blacklist me, or whatever.

So, I signed up for a brand spanking new account, with all the same damned information, and it accepted that.

It’s going well except I’m getting stir crazy. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, but I was on oxy for a week and now it’s sore, but not excruciating. You aren’t supposed to take NSAIDs due to their retarding bone growth—I have a graft for eventual fusion L4-5.

Not even think of asking for an Oxy refill for fear they note my chart as a User and Abuser. I have used opioids for about 6 procedures in my life, never abused them. But regulators have the doc’s in a tizzy.

Can’t drive or work for three weeks, but over next three months, should be close to normal.

If you need a one level fusion, especially, go for it! It’s not that bad pain wise, just have to wait around to heal and do daily walking which is not bad.

They had a rat infestation. And every night around 8pm the rats from the west side of the house would meet the east side for playful skirmish. Yes, we videotaped it all and set it to the musical score. Funniest bit was a rat my wife named "Spider". Pretty good.

'She put him out like the burning end of a midnight cigarette' is a good song lyric. Kind of gives that sense of cutting a puppets strings. Dousing a fire. Good stuff.

I go back and forth on that song. Sometimes I think the lyrics are amazingly soul crushing, and then I think it’s a little over the top. Maybe because I am not really a big country music fan? In the alternative it could be because I am fickle.

I needed a multilevel cervical fusion but the doc said not to do it, I was so bad, he had nothing to anchor the fused areas to!

Luckily, the pain subsided after about a year which I thought was strange. Apparently, if you can stop moving the neck and irritating the nerves, it can calm down. I got lucky. I was miserable for a year.

If anyone wants to know more about my experience, and there were some unpleasant surprises, that won’t be a problem longer term, feel free to email me in my nic.

I don't think Trump likes banks, and he has said his intention is that money is to be used to rebuild Venezuela. Mostly with US contractors and suppliers, but not at NGO or USAID pricing.
If the courts seize the money for debt then the road to renewal for Venezuela is impossibly long. And they aren't going to get debt forgiveness from the World Bank or the IMF because unlike Somalia, Venezuela still has resources and assets.
