Today, the US does have a standing army, and it can move with speed and in large numbers.
The Insurrection Act would probably get applied with a couple of battalions descending on Minneapolis in a matter of days, a show of immediate and overwhelming force that will terrify IL, NY, MA, and CA.

From the phone video of the shooting officer, it's clear that he was not moving to get in front of the car, but simply in the way of the way she turned to resist arrest or at least momentary detainment.
Good took it upon herself to control the situation when she decided to flee like she was Woody Woodpecker.
That is inescapable. She may not have fully seen where he was--but that's irrelevant. She moved her vehicle with disregard for anyone's safety. All to dunk on ICE, perhaps. All as part of their lark to obstruct ICE

I've been thinking about this a lot - and I believe we called off a military strike in Iran because there was no clear path to regime change that way - just a path to another large middle eastern war that Trump and America don't need right now.
The Iranian Army is still with the Mullah's for now, and that means there can be no regime change without a massive incursion of ground forces. And we're not going to do that, ever. Now that could change, maybe even later this year.

If all the legal requirements have been met to invoke the Insurrection Act then do it. Everything that happens after the Act is put in place is on Walz, Frey, the MN government and the Minneapolis government.

They are probably rentals. I don't think ICE has a fleet of vehicles that they drive to every state. Maybe their current operations warrant that, but their standard operations really don't.
However, perhaps the government could contract for some universal arm that can fit a range of cars that can use the electronic system in the car for a portable system like cops have.

That requires flipping the footsoldiers to narc on the higher ups to then narc on those to the kingpins. Think of this like going after the Mafia if you want legal cases and it will take years not internet hot minutes.

I've seen another path to collapsing the regime becoming apparent now, it's not as fast but has better odds of low risk success. The Iranian rial is not simply collapsing; on the international black market today it's trading at 1.5 million to the dollar, and still falling. And reportedly regime figures are transferring all of the hard cash (meaning foreign currency) out of the country to their own personal stashes. When the military stops being paid, which could happen soon, the regime will be poised to fall with minimal effort. This started when Iran's largest bank failed recently; all of the other banking firms in Iran appear ready to fail as well. They simply have no money other than what the Mullah's are printing, and that has become worthless.
Sadly, this means a longer period of suffering for the Iranian people.

I've seen another path to collapsing the regime becoming apparent now, it's not as fast but has better odds of low risk success. The Iranian rial is not simply collapsing; on the international black market today it's trading at 1.5 million to the dollar, and still falling. And reportedly regime figures are transferring all of the hard cash (meaning foreign currency) out of the country to their own personal stashes. When the military stops being paid, which could happen soon, the regime will be poised to fall with minimal effort. This started when Iran's largest bank failed recently; all of the other banking firms in Iran appear ready to fail as well. They simply have no money other than what the Mullah's are printing, and that has become worthless.
Sadly, this means a longer period of suffering for the Iranian people.

I've been thinking about this a lot - and I believe we called off a military strike in Iran because there was no clear path to regime change that way - just a path to another large middle eastern war that Trump and America don't need right now.
The Iranian Army is still with the Mullah's for now, and that means there can be no regime change without a massive incursion of ground forces. And we're not going to do that, ever. Now that could change, maybe even later this year.

The entire point of the protests, and blocking cars and ramping up the rhetoric is to get the videos and sound-bites that the left thinks will help them in the midterms.
"Direct action" leads to violent ICE response which leads to lawsuits and Democrat outrage which leads to high Democrat voter turnout.

Why does this keep happening? We are a clear majority with many 80-20 issues but can't get anything enacted to enforce our viewpoints.

If we lose the midterms and in the final analysis Trump falls short of main MAGA goals, i.e., deportations grind to a halt or judicial tyranny is never really addressed and we're still seeking redress from the Supreme Court on key decisions, a hardcore populist candidate, a sort of MAGA-on-steroids figure, will emerge to challenge Vance. No idea who that might be, but it will be someone to make Trump look moderate.

If we lose the midterms and in the final analysis Trump falls short of main MAGA goals, i.e., deportations grind to a halt or judicial tyranny is never really addressed and we're still seeking redress from the Supreme Court on key decisions, a hardcore populist candidate, a sort of MAGA-on-steroids figure, will emerge to challenge Vance. No idea who that might be, but it will be someone to make Trump look moderate.

Easy answer to this problem:
Stop all federal funding to Minnesota till they clean up the waste, fraud and abuse, and repeal sanctuary cities rules. Make THEM do it. No need for fighting and rioting - they either sacrifice the criminal aliens or sacrifice everything else.
Minnesota and a lot of blue hellholes are literally insolvent without fed money. And they know it.
People in Minnesota are still required to file federal taxes. The state can't impound that money - if they try, then the state officials get arrested.
It's that easy - no need to occupy the streets, just impound all their federal funding, every dime of it. They have a billion-dollar budget deficit - this will blow that deficit through the roof.
State goes bankrupt, put them in receivership, and impose a federal manager to manage the bail out, and HE imposes the same rules you asked for - no more fraud, no more sanctuary cities. Any bail out is contingent on that.
