Whether that momentum continues into the summer and fall of 2026 is the real question, but if it does, the possibility of an election victory in November will be real, and it will be spectacular!
I'd like to be optimistic, but I can't. 1. Never underestimate the GOPs hatred for Trump and their obscene willingness to throw an election in order to stick it to him and his voters. 2. Do not underestimate the left's obscene willingness to offer up blood sacrifices for their base. Today it was Renee Good, tomorrow it will be someone else and in November it will be someone else. 3. The MFM is dying, but still can convince a majority of people. Posted by: Mary Poppins' Practically Perfect Piercing (aka Eloquent Depression) at January 13, 2026 11:06 AM (ufSfZ) 13
Timothee Chalamet has finally made his relationship with Kylie Jenner Instagram official, marking the first time Chalamet has acknowledged his 'other half' on his social media account.
His Golden Globes best actor win was celebrated by sharing a number of Instagram snaps on Monday, one of which featured his billionaire mogul girlfriend's, 28, hand. The photo showed the Oscar nominee — who walked the red carpet solo — posing with the golden gong, which rested in Kylie’s manicured hand. Of course the judiciary is furious, and has thrown up obstacle after obstacle in the administration's way, but the President and his cabinet have stayed the course, and a gratifying number of their policies have ultimately been upheld.
====== NYT had a infographic of wins in court in 2025, Trump has won at the district court level about 25 percent of the time, at the appellate, a little over 50 percent, at Scotus, in the mid 80's. I think what you are seeing is that the uniparty is desperate and getting more so. The scope of the looting is so vast and the hits keep coming that the recourse of the Dems and corrupt GOPe is to try to stall for time to get away, to destroy evidence, and to avoid public anger. That is what the district courts are doing for them. In addition, the deportations are beginning to bite and weaken the Dem electoral fraud and vote buying schemes so they are frantic to shore that up for 2026 elections by any means possible. Including getting people shot to rally the troops. Posted by: whig at January 13, 2026 11:09 AM (WDjG6) 19

In December 2024, employers added 256,000 jobs. It's 50K this month, with Trump's DoL cooking the numbers. I thought tariffs were bringing back the jobs?
USA has no ability to repay its debt. GOP gets support because they keep government from being able to stop the grift and deal with billionaires and their tax and crimes. GOP will not allow DEM to pay it down, they will have wars and tax-reductions for wealthy people if there is any surplus. It is a miracle that the debt is getting the current level of service. Has Trump taken any steps to reduce inflation? Sure, gas is slightly cheaper, but inflation is worse and health insurance just doubled. My business income was down 20% last year. Am I missing something? Prices are only down because OPEC decided to flood the market in prep for the coming recession, or the one we are already in that the government won't release the economic numbers on, not anything Trump did. Inflation was between 2 and 3% for the second half of the Biden admin, and it's stayed there for Trump. He had no impact. He promised to reduce prices to 2019 levels! A ridiculous promise. Midterms are coming. Posted by: Intercepted Reddit Transmissions brought by the Intrepid AoS Liaison at January 13, 2026 11:17 AM (JCZqz) 45

I don't believe normal people aren't seeing and appreciating the drastically-improved Trump economy. Unless you live like a hermit, you can't not see it. Every time you fill up your car's gas tank. Every time you go shopping. Every time you look at your 401k. Every time you do anything that costs money.
Sure, the leftshit media is trying desperately to convince people not to see what they're clearly seeing. It might work on some people so infected with TDS they'll never ever vote GOP. And some people will use the media-pimped stories about unaffordability as excuses to avoid doing things they really don't want to do anyway. "Sorry baby, we just can't take that Hawaii trip this year because the economy is so bad. Maybe next year!" But the vast majority of people are seeing for themselves that things are much improved, and getting even better. Posted by: Judge Elric The Blade at January 13, 2026 11:20 AM (iFTx/) 54

Weren't we assured by legions of brilliant 26-year-old journalism majors that tariffs would explode the deficit and inflation would skyrocket?
And Nobel Prize winners in economics, sadly. Nobel Laureates Join 900 U.S. Economists In Rebuke Of Trump’s Tariff Policy In the declaration, titled the “Anti-Tariff Statement,” Nobel laureates James Heckman and Vernon Smith, along with hundreds of scholars and researchers, criticize the notion that tariffs promote “economic liberation.” Instead, they argue that tariffs undermine the liberal economic principles that fueled decades of American prosperity. Earlier, you had a bunch of Nobel Prize winners in economics explaining that Biden's "Inflation Reduction Act" would reduce inflation. (In fact, inflation skyrocketed, of course.) When Scott Adams first mentioned his cancer, I was originally skeptical. The timing was right after Biden originally reported having cancer, so my first thought was that Scott was running a Rush Limbaugh-like kind of parody. Similar to the episode where Rush claimed he was switching to the Democrat party.
I was also hoping that later reports of his cancer giving him only a month to live was overblown. That it was the worst-case scenario. Sadly, that wasn't the case. Condolences to his family. At least he got to see Trump 2.0 in full action, whereas Rush passed away during the depths of the Biden misadminstration. Posted by: Another Anon at January 13, 2026 11:36 AM (4h45B) 104

The funniest thing that Scott Adams ever wrote was that he lived in worker bee housing in San Francisco working for the phone company, got rich from Dilbert, got fired from the phone company, and moved to one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the Bay Area - Blackhawk.
As a minor celebrity, he got invited to a lot of parties in his new neighborhood. Now, the people at these parties are wealthy people living in the San Francisco Bay Area. They have won at the game of life. So, you'd think they would have nothing to complain about. Bzzzztttt! Wrong - they complained endlessly, and Adams made a list of all the trivial things they found to complain about. It was hilarious. 104 Do they even make rubber boolits for 5.56 weapons? I thought those were for shotguns.
Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon ===== No. I am not aware of any 5.56 less lethal cartridges. Usually cops using less lethal firearms use shotguns with a variety of different solutions. The stocks are often orange etc. so that the cops do not mistake the live from the less lethal. But police have a continuum of force while civilians do not. Less lethal does not mean not lethal even with tasers. People can and do die with less lethal. So because regular citizens do not have qualified immunity, best to simply stick with deadly force and avoidance instead of trying to retaliate with just x+1 force escalation. Blessed are the peacemakers in most interpersonal conflicts using de escalation tactics. Doing so makes it difficult to portray someone as blood thirsty when they are retreating and walking away from incitements to fight over stupid matters. I would only use less lethal if in a jurisdiction or place where I could not carry a firearm. Travel to a firearm unfriendly area is another reason. Buy some pepper spray, etc. at the destination, discard or ship home prior to leaving. Posted by: whig at January 13, 2026 11:44 AM (WDjG6) 138

This has been my experience in the ultra-foodie-town I live near (Portland ME). During the tourist season - good luck getting reservations at the truly special eateries in town. People judge form their own personal circumstances, not data. Posted by: Formerly Virginian Speaking as someone who's gone 6+ years without so much as a cost-of-living, until that changes, the economy sucks for me. Inflation is caused by Fedgov spending more money then it brings in and printing dollars to make up the difference. Tariffs, as a tax, lower the needed number of new dollars. Posted by: Mark Andrew Edwards No time. Have you actually watched the cop's own body cam doing a 360 inspection. He had his phone out and was videoing the car for evidence. Driver had been harassing ICE all day and that is why the officer did a 360, checking the car for identifying marks, license plate number, etc. All the while Becca the bitch was yelling at the cop while he was trying to document evidence (needed for any obstruction charge). You see the officer literally drop the phone at the instant the driver guns for him (and she does gun--car analysis shows 0-7mph acceleration in a second more than enough to injure. In addition, the streets themselves were slippery, you can see ICE agents visibly slipping on the literal ice. Then you have the other officer with his hand in the vehicle trying to stop her. Officer made a split second call and he made the right call legally and morally. Suicide by cop and stupidity. At every step in of the process where she could have deescalated, she did not and if you watch, you can literally see her rack up more and more crimes until she did a lethal assault on an officer. 207 Ilhan Omar Calls Elon Musk ‘One Of The Dumbest People On Earth’
Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar called tech mogul Elon Musk “one of the dumbest people on Earth” on Monday after he accused her of politically benefiting from illegal immigration. Musk stated on X that Democrats are flooding the U.S. with illegal immigrants and handing them welfare to win elections, pointing to Omar as an “obvious example” of this phenomenon. Tariffs cannot increase inflation.
Inflation is caused by Fedgov spending more money then it brings in and printing dollars to make up the difference. Tariffs, as a tax, lower the needed number of new dollars. And unlike other taxes tariffs have the advantage of some of that money coming from foreign pockets instead of just American ones Posted by: 18-1 at January 13, 2026 11:59 AM (sKqQm) ----------- Tariffs also strengthen the dollar relative to other currencies -- resulting in Americans paying lower relative prices (a bigger bang for the buck, if you will) for foreign exports. All of those fancy new investigative techniques haven't made it easier to catch people unless they commit an impulsive murder. The cops have become pretty dependent on tech, so if you plan - at all - they will run out of their technological crutches pretty quick and just give up.
