Of course the cost of American healthcare without insurance is the #1 cause of bankruptcy in American families. So yes deductibles are high but without insurance it often simply bankrupts people.

Posted by: Unknown Drip Under Pressure at January 10, 2026 08:20 AM (a4flb) --- Those are important points, but what is even more obvious is that none of these people are able to look beyond the moment of crisis to understand what happens next. As some of you know, I am a Certified War Planner (tm) and when doing planning, you have to go through the entire cycle of the campaign. This necessarily includes building in (as much as possible), extra resources for the inevitable attrition. To give a very simple example, let us say the operation calls for a very modest show of force, say two fighter-bombers flying top cover over a given point. How many aircraft does that take? Well, it depends on range, payload, and duration. What I can say is you need more than two. You need at least four, but six or eight is ideal. That's because aircraft break on their own. If there is a threat of hostile fire, the mission requirements increase dramatically. These nuts figure that all it will take is one ICE agent getting shot or killed and then they win. (cont) We see this time and again. They pull off some hoax or cheat at the ballot box and try to declare the game over. This is like calling a football game because you scored the first touchdown. It ain't over till its over and in the real world, it's never over. All victories are temporary unless you spend the extra effort to secure them, and even then the afterglow will fade in time.
The question is therefore not whether going kinetic will work, but how kinetic one has to get to win, and I guarantee that ICE and the feds have a much, much deeper bench than they do. Their troops are better protected (more likely to survive) and will rise to the occasion rather then recoil. The farther we climb up the escalation ladder, the freer the government's hands get. They have no idea what they are playing with. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd at January 10, 2026 08:30 AM (ZOv7s) 35

There is a lot of truth to Trump being called TACO - especially when it comes to domestic policy. Foreign policy, Trump points at something, and that something happens (except for Ukraine/Russia). The black pilling occurs because Trump eventually identifies a problem, throws theatrical levels of force at it, a judge steps in, and Trump finds another squirrel. The arrests and prosecutions are basically felonious mopery levels of crime. So yes, the can kill one agent and much bally-hoo about a more aggressive ROE issued in response, a judge steps in and Trump finds some other cat toy. This is also why the hand-wringing about the midterms is stupid. Seriously, we've had multiple example of panicans being exposed and grifters self-identifying. This is another one of those filters.
So much is going to happen between now and November that there is zero point in worrying about it. Focus on the 50 meter target, not that blip on the horizon. None of your fancy focus groups or betting markets will matter if bullets start flying, and an economy with 5% growth is going to matter more than some dumb bill no one has ever heard of. When gas hits a buck a gallon and summer employment opportunities surge because so many illegals have left, that will completely upend the calculus. Posted by: Unknown Drip Under Pressure at January 10, 2026 08:34 AM (a4flb) --- You have it absolutely wrong. Trump is maintaining a continuous campaign, driving deeper into enemy territory. When he hits a pocket of resistance, he leaves a screening force and drives on. What he does not do is whine and obsess about the obstacle. The cases never go against him. They don't report it, but he wins. He always wins. Even when he loses, he ends of winning because he turns the precedent to his advantage. Anyone who whines about Bondi is a grifter. She's a combination IQ/grifter litmus test. People who know the law, who know what he is doing have noticed this. Like with Maryland Man. He was supposed to defy the court directly and provoke a constitutional crisis, but kept shifting ground, finding new legal justifications until the case was tied in knots. Now the judge has had it taken away from him, but is still driving forward to claim jurisdiction he doesn't have, and hold Trump in contempt for something that never happened. Except Trump has demonstrated on so many occasions that there is a lot of bluster, the fashion model Secretaries make vague but tough sounding prophecies, one or more judges say "no you aren't", then we don't hear ever again about The Plan. This is exactly why we are heading to Civil War 2.0. It is now inevitable because the administration is fighting with both hands voluntarily held behind their back and hoping that shouting the right magic words will win the day. We The People know what time it is. The Administration doesn't. To them its a game to win the mid-terms through optics and hope that enough RINOs cut a few million dollars here or there. At what point, when we see the Administration is all bluster no action and that they are stopped by even rogue judges, will We The People stop paying taxes and find that the only voting that matters is from the rooftops? Posted by: vmom deport deport deport at January 10, 2026 08:42 AM (U1FmN) --- Absolutely. They are always playing catchup. This is the biggest difference between his first term, when he had to pause at each halt, and figure out how to reduce the strongpoint. The Dems have had multiple situations where the same day they roll out their talking points Trump renders them moot and attacks on an entirely different line of effort. They are flailing. The wave of stays looked imposing, but it's funny how irrelevant it is now. None of them actually stuck. Trump also understands that these rogue judges are pissing off everyone around them. There are actual matters before the court that are not being dealt with, and even sympathetic judges are getting pissed because their dockets are bulging at the seems while these idiots prance and preen. Again, the judges only thought short-term, not whether the effort could be sustained. Trump is grinding them all down, hammering every sector, all the time. It's like the 1918 offensive with limitless reserves. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd at January 10, 2026 08:47 AM (ZOv7s) 62

This is the most important thread here for me, because it is so important and humbling. Yesterday, for whatever reason, technology was my enemy. We had two power outages, my work computer glitched for an hour and my phone decided to take up the slack when I got home. Frustrating! But also trivial. It is so easy to get lost in the details and forget to hold those we love close and treasure every moment we have with them. Okay, enough. No action? Really? Name a president who has more to advance conservative goals than Trump.
You confuse "action" with "theater". Lets take the response to fraud in Minnisomalia. The Biden DOJ was already putting in token prosecutions and the same Leftist losers in the DOJ are just plodding along and mailing in prosecutions. Trump orchestrates a beautiful theater campaign using Nick Shirley and others to "expose" what is going on for decades. That is all we talk about (until the next squirrel). Then a Secretary walks up to a microphone and announces cutting off aid. Applause, fireworks, Hallelujahs in the strees. The next day a judge steps in and says "Nope - Taxpayers need to keep funding the fraud". Prediction: New Foreign Face Saving Act, courtesy of the Department of War. All the media reports on yesterday's oil executive meeting howl with derision over Trump's "senior moment" where he "wandered off" to "stare out the window."
You don't hate the media enough. Exact context? Trump: There are a lot of executives here. More wanted to be here and they would be if we had room. Which reminds, I'm going to take a look. Not the best time, but I'm going to. Posted by: People's Hippo Voice at January 10, 2026 09:03 AM (uVOjq) 89
I guess I have some questions about The Southside Family Charter School in Minneapolis. This is the school where the six year old child belonging to former homosexual angel of light Renee Good attends.
By all accounts it was via this school mzzz Good learned about ICE Watch, received some amount of "training" and was ostensibly organizing protest activities. Are they in any way liable for her death? I understand the sacred words "right of the people to peaceably assemble to petition their government for a redress of grievances." But at some point you cross the line into inciting violence. Doesn't someone at that school have something to answer for? Posted by: The local media at January 10, 2026 09:03 AM (2Ez/1) 90

Posted by: dantesed at January 10, 2026 09:01 AM (Oy/m2) --- There is a seamless web of money and resources flowing among our adversaries and the notion that foreign policy is not connected to domestic affairs is completely false. China money is sloshing through the DNC and all the Antifa groups. Trump gets this, and seizing all those tankers actually does impact domestic policy by starving them of resources. That's another thing people aren't seeing: he's strangling them economically. It's interesting: the top story for China-watchers this week is Maduro. It is a body blow to the CCP, and everyone in Asia knows it. The CCP invested huge amounts of resources and propaganda into Maduro and it's all gone. The loss of face is staggering and the CCP's legitimacy is in tatters. This has done more to protect Taiwan than adding two carriers to the fleet. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. I suppose there are two avenues to deal with the issues in MN; legally or executively.
Legally, I'd imagine a raft of subpoenas. Charges for various crimes filed. All that stuff. Executively, I'd imagine implementing the Insurrection Act. I would think most, if not all of the criteria for implementing that have been met. MN state/local politicians have a choice to make. They seem to be drifting towards having the Feds step in as they think "they'll win" that in the court of public opinion. I have my doubts. Slashing the trade deficit by half? Theater. Breaking DEI and outlawing chemical castration of kids? Theater. Dropping oil prices to levels unseen in years? Theater. Reversing the flow of illegal aliens? Theater. Revitalizing American Manufacturing - THEATER Slashing trade deficit by half - FOREIGN POLICY Breaking DEI - What exactly did Trump do? Dropping Oil Prices - FOREIGN POLICY and stop attacking oil producers. (that is stop doing what the previous admin was doing) Reversing the flow of illegal aliens - letting ICE finally do their job as the law requires. So Trump's wins were foreign policy or theater, or simply quit attacking Producers. The AI Tech Bubble was going to happen regardless of who is in office. Multiple myeloma. Posted by: man at January 10, 2026 09:22 AM (XuXeR) Blood cancer - that is not curable (none of them really are), but there are some great treatments now. If you haven't, I would take your wife to a hemo onc (not just a regular oncologist), preferably one that specializes in multiple myeloma and I'd hop on some blood cancer boards. It's not the death sentence it was, even when my mom had it and died in 2020. It's definitely now live withable and in a decent state, at least for a much longer stretch than it used to be... Lord Jesus Christ, You who prayed for those who crucified You, touch my heart with Your mercy. I bring before You those who have hurt me, those who oppose me, and those I find it hard to love. Grant them the grace of conversion, heal what is broken in their lives, and fill them with the peace that only You can give. By the power of Your Cross, free me from all bitterness and resentment, and help me to wish them well— as You wish them well. Grey nd rainy here this morning in the DMV. A brief rant: Pancreatic cancer is a silent killer. Most people unaware until it is too late. Chemo, radiation rarely make a difference. My husband had tumor removed because it was found early due to an u related symptom. But the surgery is difficult, affects the ability to eat. 5 months after the surgery including two months of hospitalization, he died from Sepsis. So, LaSue, I feel your pain. I don't know why there is not more research being done. Early detection would make a world of difference. End of rant. Posted by: Sharon(willow's apprentice) at January 10, 2026 09:32 AM (t/2Uw) 177

Don’t think this is happening without heavy US support. So many forget that for any revolution to be truly successful, it has to be seen by all as coming from the people themselves. Huh. Some researchers are now theorizing, based on the data they’ve seen this far, that the rise in autism has been substantially over inflated.
There has been a rise in “diagnosis” that correlates almost directly to a rise in federal spending, especially through Medicaid, but also in other federal programs that make benefits for autism available. In case you haven’t noticed, these programs are being uncovered as massive fraud vectors, and the documentation for eligibility is often non existent or greatly subject to manipulation. So- the “rise” in autism is due to the huge pot of federal taxpayer money that frauds have taken advantage of, therefore creating a fraudulent over reporting of that condition? More to come. Reza Pahlavi, the presumptive, has announced he is returning to Iran, and is calling on elements of the Iranian Army to rally to his support, and on the Iranian people to take and hold the cities, and to either hold or destroy regime buildings.
He claims he wants to be a transitional figure, a la King Juan Carlos after the death (finally!) of Franco. If he is wise, that will be the path he takes, but people who get a taste of power have a tendency to want to keep it. Let's hope he 1) gets the power, and 2) hands it over expeditiously once a transition to democracy is in place. That is the true way to cement his place in history. King Juan Carlos I was handpicked by dictator Francisco Franco as his successor, but instead of preserving the authoritarian regime, Juan Carlos famously steered Spain towards democracy after Franco's death in 1975, dismantling the dictatorship from within by legalizing parties, establishing a new constitution, and thwarting a coup, marking a dramatic reversal of Franco's vision for Spain's future Posted by: Archimedes at January 10, 2026 09:38 AM (Riz8t) 198

More to come. Posted by: Vengeance at January 10, 2026 09:38 AM (moGJJ) --- Two things can be true at the same time. Cases of autism can be rising and fraud can exaggerate the extent of that rise. I urge you to watch RFK's presentation on autism from a few months back. The data he cited was from several states who conducted annual screening for autism starting 50 years ago, long before federal funds were in play. It's kind of sad to look back at a time when the education and medical establishments were honest, and wanted good data, used standard, consistent protocols because they wanted to understand reality, not push an agenda. Absolutely. And if you know anything about medical research, you’ll also realize this greatly affects finding cures and treatments. To wit, if your dataset includes otherwise perfectly healthy people, or people who don’t really have autism, you corrupt that dataset with bad information. That leads you in the wrong direction as you search for treatments, which you take the time to trial, and which don’t ultimately work because most people in your dataset don’t have autism. Just think about that for a moment. Not only are the frauds stealing taxpayer money, they are taking resources from people who really need it, and worse delaying the development of treatments and potential cures for autism. Several care for their autistic at home because they can't afford a care facility. Instead, of wasting money on fake autism claims, it would be nice if the gov't were actually building safe care facilities for the severely autistic. New War Game Scenario:
You are the owner of a Hilton Branded Hotel, a budget one, so your margins are low already. Government, who are unlike guests who bring in hookers or sugar stoked children, are low risk and generally clean but because of government rates bring in low-risk revenue at modest margins. So you, as a foreigner, decide housing ICE overnight is not a good idea because insurance usually doesn't cover damage by riots and terrorism and you are plugged in enough of the community to know that if the Destroyers can't stop ICE they can surely get to anyone they do business with - like you. Making a thousand dollars is not worth risking having your hotel set on fire. So you quietly discourage ICE from staying in. Then Social Media exposes your risk mitigation strategery and now you lose your access to the Hilton reservation and branding. Oh, and the miscreants are already destroying hotels and restaurants that serve ICE agents. What to do? Posted by: Ben Had at January 10, 2026 09:48 AM (sDNVV) No one knows how to define “fallen”. They’ve lost control of the streets, certainly. The best part of the uprising is also its greatest weakness; it is truly a bottom up, grass roots rebellion. (Wat Tyler comes to mind). But because of that it has no leadership, no recognized spokesman, no focal point by which you can say “ah they have taken power now.” If Reza Pahlavi can return and garner some military support, that will change quickly. >> Two things can be true at the same time. Cases of autism can be rising and fraud can exaggerate the extent of that rise.
Oh, I don’t completely disagree. But I believe you have to consider the definition of what autism is has expanded over time. That doesn’t mean it isn’t completely real, but it is something that needs to be considered and many people don’t. It could be that other conditions existed which we now classify under the banner of autism, but you have to account for that. That being said, it’s my personal opinion that once you remover the noise, fraud, over-diagnosis and expanded definition we will find a much smoother trendline for autism. That will even for us by narrowing the places we look for treatments and cures. Lastly, don’t forget the Feds have continually expanded a lot of the covered services for autism, and it’s my option a lot of the people receiving them either don’t need them, they’re not helpful (demonstrably on a percentage basis) and is money not well spent. A lot of jackasses have hurt the development of such facilities. That’s because they wedge them into banners like “institutionalization”, or purport they are violations of people’s civil rights, just like the mentally ill and homeless. The problem also becomes that you lose certain parental rights as the children get older and that makes doing spme of these things more difficult. They have to change some of the laws which allow a parent to ultimately make these decisions. The only people making money on that right now are lawyers. - Imagine if your costs weren't subsidizing the 'healthcare' of 50M illegals. - Imagine if the law permitted you to have catastrophic coverage insurance. - Imagine if the Affordable Care Act had made care affordable. - Imagine if medical costs/billing were simple and transparent. Things to consider in any analysis of autism trends and causes:
1. It is not a condition with a single gold-standard diagnostic test or metric. 2. It is not a condition with a clear cut distinction from the general population, hence the use oof the word 'spectrum' 3. Diagnostic "criteria" are all over the map. 4. The diagnosis is sticky. That is, once that label is applied it is nearly impossible to remove it. 5. It likely is multifactorial, and statistically distinguishing the relative contributions of variouss factors in a large population is a major challenge (see #1, #2, #3 above) 6. External factors (societal trends or fads, teachers, on-line groups, etc.) are potential confusing variables I am wary of any and all proclamations of "Aha! We've found the One Thing!" Posted by: Unknown Drip Under Pressure at January 10, 2026 08:34 AM (a4flb) The black pilling occurs because much press is given to Trump's initial announcement. Much press is given to the 'brave' judge ruling that the President can't be permitted to enforce the law. Almost no press is given, a couple months later, when the appeals court or SCOTUS slaps the district judge down. The black pilling occurs because even older - allegedly wiser - people have become accustomed to an instant noodles in the microwave world. They have become incapable of waiting just a bit for the resolution of an issue which has been building for over a century. Also, a lot of people are whiners. Posted by: JackStraw at January 10, 2026 10:27 AM (viF8m) --- The thing you have to ask yourself is simply this: if Trump is just making harmless noise, why do we have sitting governors talking about armed rebellions? Why are judges going out of their way to destroy the credibility of the legal system which has been the foundation of their power for 50 years? Trump just keeps winning in court, and he's about to peel away even more made-up rulings to unleash even more executive authority. The amazing thing about Bondi's work is that each case comes with multiple authorities. The judge puts a stay on the one thing, so they then do it again under a different authority. But the stuff is getting done. The border is closed. That is an epic win. Out-migration is happening. That is also huge. And now voter corruption is being exposed. That's endgame. An honest election will shift many states (like Michigan) from purple to red. That's why the Dems are trying to start a war. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Most pediatric offices make their main revenue off of well child visits and administering vaccines. And even with that it is a thin margin. The whole spending network, which is based on the reliable flow of cash, is experiencing a system shock unlike anything before. “ t's been pointed out, ad nauseum, that he keeps winning these judicial issues.”
Except when he doesn’t. All those govt layoffs? No more. SAN FRANCISCO (CN) — The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday dismissed an appeal by the Trump administration to overturn a lower court’s order halting impending federal reductions-in-force. The government filed an unopposed motion on Dec. 31 to voluntarily dismiss its appeal, without explaining why it was abandoning the effort. On Dec. 17, U.S. District Judge Susan Illston issued a preliminary injunction extending a block on impending federal reductions-in-force, ruling that certain agencies violated a congressional prohibition by notifying employees of separation in early December. Posted by: Common Tater at January 10, 2026 10:48 AM (CO7ih) To be specific, it was a Supreme Court Case, Arizona vs United States (actually Obama) 2012. Arizona was still red at the time and wanted to enforce immigration law even though the feds wouldn’t. Obama and the 2012 Suprene Court said “oh no you can’t !” I believe Justice Kennedy wrote the decision. Posted by: Tom Servo at January 10, 2026 11:03 AM (UXPSq) 399

I measure how much effort Trump is putting into the main battle by how many democrats who obviously guilty of crimes (insurrection, fraud, conspiracy) that are being prosecuted. The number is close to none. Allow me to disagree. There are two things that can happen. 1) The objectionable behavior stops. 2) The people who perpetrated the objectionable behavior are punished. We are well into #1 now, which is great. #2 will take longer, and may not happen to the extent we wish, but that doesn't mean we should diminish the importance of #1. I am wary of any and all proclamations of "Aha! We've found the One Thing!" Posted by: muldoon at January 10, 2026 Same here. My daughter started Leucovorin this week. It can’t hurt, and while she is high functioning, her issues are more emotional regulation, sensory issues, and social skills. She also has Dyslexia, and a few other learning difficulties. She said she doesn’t feel any different, however, on day 2, she was much more emotionally charged up than she has been, a side effect I was hoping we wouldn’t see. She also completed every last assignment at school, plus her late assignments. What?!? Her teacher just sent me a text and said she was blown away at the change this week. Psychosomatic and making her lock on more on work? Because my kid was really, really hoping this would be a magic pill for her to be “normal”. Stay tuned. Fen,
If you are still here. Getting into research in just about any field requires a masters degree. Bachelor degrees even in STEM areas are really just going to get you in at the lowest level. Doing research is considered to be a premium employment space. Finding a Coop program at a nearby school would really be a good step instead of banging his head against the wall. You want to cram as much education as you can afford in your younger years. Posted by: pawn at January 10, 2026 11:40 AM (Rmqfl) 414
