Triumph at the NY premiere of Attack of the Clones was one of the funniest things I ever saw. Robert Smigel was on Conan's podcast relatively recently, and he killed there as well. I never knew what he looked like before - I just saw Triumph in a lot of those segments. That man is legend.

I’m not sure about that. He hated on everyone. He specially hated on politicians in general. Later in his career, he did take a weird anti-religious turn, but I don’t remember him framing it in terms of left-right politics. There was some comedian that is right/centrist adjacent that had to buy BACK his comedy show from one of the streamers. They were basically strangling him career wise. (Was it the comedian at the Trump rally in NYC? Can;t remember.) It's been a while but I remember it was an interesting case. I think he did well getting people to just stream it online from his own site.

I've noticed a lot of people think obnoxious = funny (not saying this applies to you), and that is what I always associate with Ferrell.
I've very much enjoyed some of his movies, but that said, I can't stand when he is doing the circuit promoting one, because he is always, always in character.
Maybe that's his way of keeping his personal life separate from his professional, or maybe he's like the guy in Vonnegut's "Who Am I This Time?", but it does nothing to endear him to me.

I know more than I want to from what I can find. Unless she knew Bull Dyke with #1 husband (those are the kids he has). He's alive and has stories.
#2 husband died in 2023 in Colorado, and is the father of the kid she and current Bull Dyke have.
Maybe she's had multiple lesbos with each husband?
I have seen the cig burn stuff before. Unsure if related to first 2 kids with #1 husband or not.
I initially read it as this kid now, and guessed why they moved 3 times in 2yrs including out of the country (to avoid CPS checks).
I thought that odd due to Trump (re: lesbos).
Today I think the move was the trans deal.Because days after the election reddit was on fire over trans and parents yanking them out of schools.
I would bet a dollar that they are raising this kid(boy?) trans. Which is abuse (Munchausen's by Proxy). Because of the charter school hint and, well, they are lesbian activists who like to shock. Poor kid.

Being empathetic is a real thing. The problem is when you have no boundaries and are a doormat for everyone in your life, and let the crazies in your life suck you dry like an emotional vampire. Now I'm peri-menopausal and my IDGAF meter is running higher and higher, things are getting better on that front.
There's a great woman who runs a "We Do Not Care Club," for pre menopausal to post menopausal woman, where she lists the things the club just doesn't care abut anymore. We don't have the time or energy, we're over it. She pulls out a highlighter to mark off the items of the day, and rips the highlighter off with her teeth and spits it away before she runs down her list. I love her.
She has so many followers that she got a book deal! Well deserved.

They were one of the 2 or 3 best "guest hosts" of the Jim Rome Show. That one other comedian (forgot his name) was really, really good filling in for Jim Rome, and then all of the sudden he got crazy and never made another appearance.

To me, Ron White was funny the FIRST time I watched one of his live performances. With each successive performance, I liked him less, because I slowly began to realize that he *is/was* the lecherous jerk he toured across the country telling us about. I realized I'd hate to have him as a neighbor, or co-worker, or even lunch-companion.

You're not wrong...and yet I still love his movies. The "I feel like I'm taking crazy pills" line from Zoolander is one of my faves. I can put on Blades of Glory, or Zoolander, or Eurovision, or Elf, and have a good time. He found his schtick, the overexuberant, uninhibited manchild, and ran with it and made himself a ton of money. Good for him.
But I did REALLY love Stranger than Fiction, where he plays the tightly buttoned up accountant who finds out his life is being written by a woman who has to kill him off in her story. He was remarkably self restrained in that one.
