@robbystarbuck 50m Very important info about the ICE shooting: The agent that shot Renee Good yesterday, as she drove toward him, had been dragged by a car over 300ft just 6 months ago by a man who had been charged with sex crimes against a child. This is a photo of him in the hospital. This happened one month after Tim Walz called ICE the modern day Gestapo. The agent had over 30 stitches, luckily escaping death. So being hit or dragged by a car wasn't some theoretical event he had the luxury of Monday morning quarterbacking. He had ONE SECOND to make a judgement call with a car accelerating at him: Shoot to save my life or potentially die being run over or caught and dragged by this car? A very compelling argument can be made that Democrat politicians are to blame for both events here. In one, an illegal was radicalized to believe he could run from the "Gestapo" and likely believed the Walz Admin would protect him. In this one a woman radicalized by Dem politicians and media believed that she could impede law enforcement without consequence. She ended up dead as a result. The position Democrats are putting our ICE agents in is just objectively dangerous and evil.

The leftist narrative will be "Trump's ICE nazis are literally murdering innocent people." This will work on Democrats and Republican sissies. Normal people will ask why she did not comply with the officers' orders and why she drove at a cop. Properly addressed, we can leverage the gross irresponsibility of the Dem pols and communist foot soldiers to defeat their bogus narrative. 6. The corrupt state of Minnesota will "investigate" even though its senior officials have already announced that this was murder, and the ICE agent will be indicted in state court. The feds will remove it to federal court, where the case will fail. 7. There will be a civil suit against the US government and the shooter. It will be heard in federal court. Qualified immunity will apply. 8. The shooter will be doxed and his family threatened by leftists, who will cheer this on. 9. There will be rioting in Minneapolis, probably low-grade, since too much will make the left lose sympathy. If it gets serious, look to Trump to send in the armed forces, perhaps under the Insurrection Act. 10. The anti-ICE direct actions will accelerate. Trump will not back down. There will be a decision point facing to the left: Continue the current level of actions, which will have zero effect, or escalate into (further) attempts to murder ICE agents. Some leftists will embrace escalated violence. The Administration should focus rigorously on the following key points: 1. ICE was present in Minneapolis doing its job removing dangerous criminals. 2. Democrat politicians are creating a dangerous situation with their rhetoric and caused this incident. 3. Democrat activists have been putting people at risk with their dangerous action and it must stop. 4. This is the point. This is why they incite it, and why lefties have things like ICE tracking apps. It isn't about preventing deportation, it's about directing street warriors - and a lot of AWFLs are, or will become street warriors - to interfere. The goal of that interference is likely not a cessation of deportation or raids, but to trigger a lethal response. They want martyrs, because martyrs provide a nucleus around which other and more intensive action can coalesce.

You are wrong as a matter of law and this was not a civilian shooting in self defense.
A civilian is required to stop shooting when the threat was over. Not true for a law enforcement officer who has a duty to apprehend violent felons.
And FWIW, the first shot was through the windshield and was probably a headshot. That woman was a threat to others as an escaping violent felon and other agents with her irrationality. She nearly injured another agent before she tried to run one down. And the additional shots occurred roughly 2 seconds after the first while the car was still moving.
Fleeing felons end up dead in many cases because they just keep doing stupid shit.
In this case, encouraged by the left's howler monkey politicians, social media, and press actions.

But...why would anyone assume that this is a reasonable setup? The Karen just ran down one officer and there was no reason to assume she was just going to surrender after that.
This was an ambush that failed for the ambushers. Their intent was to block in ICE long enough to let the criminals they were searching for escape. Everyone involved should be arrested, and they should all face attempted murder charges for one of their number attempted to kill an ICE agent

Sven, this was a federal case (supremacy clause applies) and federal law explictly considers trying to assault a law officer with a car as a deadly weapon. Intention does not matter if the whole chain of events is escalating criminal actions leading to an escape. She already had feloniously assaulted another agent whose arm was inside the vehicle trying to stop her after teh verbal orders did not, and then she ate one bullet through the windshield when she hit the other agent.
Whole confrontation was in 20 seconds of less.
She chose poorly.

I agree. The fact that the cop was previously dragged by a vehicle makes the whole thing make more sense. I observed last night that it looks like he panicked and committed, which is why he continued shooting through the side window even though she wasn't a threat at that point.

Another part of this here because I see this a lot, we cannot demand that people in the moment, being attacked by criminals, will make split second decisions that are perfectly media friendly.

I know Whig, I am pointing out under even MN law it was justified. MS-COW is spreading that Queefe Ellison is stating he somehow "has a case" and deleting corrections. None of this is to say that MN has not proven its enforcement and litigations of law are not unequal in application ask Chauvin or Sarah West and Yusef. You do not have a right to impede Federal officers in the commission of their duties is not a hard thing to wrap your head around.

It's not different than the Carlson thing... if you watch a person shed skin like a snake every few years and emerge as a completely different person, you should recognize them for the centerless grifters they are, and categorically ignore whatever they say.
If they happen to be right about some given topic, it's coincidental to their own interests being served, and it's entirely disingenuous - if they feel saying the exact opposite thing better serves them, they'll say it with seeming conviction the very next day.
It's just not worth the time or effort to hear them out. There are other people who are right (or wrong, for that matter) without being a cheesy fuckin' scammer nobody can trust.

Fools often pay the price for their foolishness. This time it was unfortunately fatal. She'd been attempting to block them on several different occasions. When see saw agents surrounding her, her brain did a cortisol dump and she panicked. The problem with being foolish is that consequences are generally only considered in hindsight. And this was a civilian case. Basically kibitizers about a 2-3 second deadly encounter after a whole afternoon and specifically 20 seconds before the shooting where the driver already committed felony assault among other crimes on one ICE officer (the guy being dragged first), and she tried then to escape by running over another officer who shot her in self defense and to stop the threat of a felony attempted murderer escaping.
The lesson is don't be a douchebag depending on privilege to save your ass.

ANY person in the Nat. guard who follows any such orders from Walz is likely to end up at Leavenworth. Hence, no doubt, most of the Guard would refuse such an order.
The Guard is designed to be a state militia used to SUPPORT the federal government in time of crises, not the opposite. If they oppose the feds, the relevant law simply states the president can federalize the guard, and they must report to him, not Walz. In fact, if I were Trump, I'd point to Walz's clear statement of intent and federalize the guard now, just to clear up any confusion for the soldiers.
After that there is no discussion. Well except one - will Frey and Walz be charged with insurrection and hanged? I'd say no, they are entirely impotent at that point.
I'd then use the guard as crowd/riot control and keep doing the ICE raids. And get a LOT more eager to arrest anyone interfering with federal officers, especially anyone from out of state, who are more likely to be the agitators.
