23 I have multi level disc degeneration because of having psoriatic arthritis for the last 12 years or so. Covid and and a forced change of medicine made things much worse in the last several year.

I have failing and herniated discs in my lumbar (all but one now) with some neuropathy affecting the legs. I have one failing disc in my thoracic, and three in my lower cervical which has caused a severe loss of strength and coordination in both arms, considerable pain, etc. over the last year. Finally insurance considers it bad enough to pay for the surgery.

Elbow cubital release on lh plus trigger finger release. Transposition of nerve at elbow and carpal tunnel on my right hand in the last three years. All the remaining and worsening neuropathy now is solely from my cervical region. And the beginnings of ankylosing spondylitis.

Facing a knee replacement too.

Plus lumbar nerve ablation again after all of this.

Back issues are horrible and even with all the medical advances they do not seem to know what the heck they are doing to fix it

Our boy used to walk back and forth with me as I swam laps in FL. I guess he would have sat and mourned me on the bottom of the pool, as he was no water rescue pup. He did lick my swim cap when I survived each ordeal. I would read on the swim out and he'd be close by, protecting me from danger. As long as he could touch me all was well. Miss that sweet boy. Snow would have blown his mind, but he might have adjusted. His nephew did.

I saw a map that the protests weren't spreading to the Turkic and Arabic speaking parts of Iran. Recall that Persian is spoken by barely half the country and that's if you count Lur and stuff like that as Persian dialects.

Cuba has always been an odd thing. They could go on as is for some time. The key now of course is just how much the police/military/Security Service (the DI) support the government. If they think their grip is solid, they won't give up.
I think the days of the romantic Che image of fighting a guerilla are long past. If they hunker down, they can go on for awhile. If the rest of the region sees a Trump driven economic renaissance, they may think twice.

Venezuelan and Russian crude oil is essentially worthless to Cuba unless they can refine it to gasoline, diesel, and acceptable fuel for boilers in power plants. I doubt there is much refinery capacity in Cuba. How much gasoline, diesel, and boiler fuel can Cuba buy on the gray market without hard currency from Venezuela or Russia?

Trump's management style probably has a lot to do with how much Rubio, and others, are thriving under his leadership and doing extraordinary things.

It's possible that Rubio is an ideal second-in-command, and less good at being in charge. It's like with Desantis. It's hard to square the extraordinary competence on the job with the weaker way they come across when in campaign mode.
