Elon Musk Endorses Republicans for the 2026 Midterms, Arguing that Democrats Will Destroy the County and It "Won't Be America Anymore"

Accurate.

Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk signaled Thursday that he is lining up behind Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, a notable turn after months of public friction with President Trump and flirtation with launching a third political party of his own.

"America is toast if the radical left wins," Musk wrote on X, warning that a Democrat-controlled Congress would "open the floodgates to illegal immigration and fraud" and that the country "won't be America anymore." The post came in response to a conservative influencer claiming Musk was "going all-in funding Republicans to help President Trump take back full control" of Congress in November 2026.

According to Axios, Musk has already begun making sizable contributions to GOP candidates in key House and Senate races, though the precise amounts will not be public until campaign finance disclosures are released later this month. The signal carries weight. Musk poured more than $290 million into the 2024 election cycle, becoming the largest single political donor that year by a wide margin.

RINO Republican Mike DeWine says it's no big deal that we're having our patrimony stolen from us by foreign pirates -- it's just "the cost of doing business."

Machine state from way back and similar to Indiana and Illinois as well as Pennsylvania. Prime examples of the Uniparty where whoever is in charge still protects the grift for all his fellow grifters in both parties.

I give you Bob Taft Jr, former OH governor as an example,

"In August 2005, as a result of the Coingate scandal, Taft was indicted with four misdemeanors related to him receiving undisclosed gifts and accepting illegal campaign contributions, making him the first Ohio governor charged with a crime while in office. He pleaded no contest to the charges and was fined $4,000. Despite his fallout from the conviction, Taft continued to serve as governor until his second term expired in January 2007."

Yes. But the disadvantage to grifters today is that all their money can be found and forced to be repatriated and confiscated. GWOT gave the US that kind of power along with control of the SWIFT network.

We know where a lot of the money went if we look for it for the most part, all that is lacking is the will to bring it back to the US and the Treasury.

Treasury even broke and reversed block chain for crypto to get some of that back from the various hacker extortion gangs (Colonial Pipeline for one example).

After putting your comment into Grok:

As of early January 2026, prediction markets and early forecasts do indeed show Democrats as strong favorites to flip control of the U.S. House in the November 2026 midterms, with probabilities in the 75-78% range depending on the platform.

Recent reports from platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi have pegged Democrats' chances at around 78% for retaking the House, reflecting historical midterm trends where the president's party (currently Republicans under Trump) typically loses seats.

Earlier spikes reached 75% on Kalshi following strong Democratic off-year performances, and aggregated betting odds have hovered in that ballpark as generic ballot polling shows Democrats with a modest but consistent lead.

None of those odds are realistic especially political betting markets as they are thinly traded and susceptible to largish sized wagers aimed at influencing the process rather than profit.

If you must go into political prognostications, try Cook's Reports which is paygated but they actually apply the political history of districts along with the strengths and weaknesses of current competitors for the seats.

They can and are wrong at time and the report notes shifts based on events in 2026 as far as retirements, new districts, competitors, funding, and scandals. For political pros and has a left bias but otherwise much better than gaseous pundits or betting sites for solid information.

For my advice, having worked in congressional campaigns and then studying them as a grad student and prof, aim at June, July time frame for realistic prognostications. Primaries will be mostly done, retirements as well, and we will have some idea of funding as well as events in the US.

The betting markets are also manipulated.

Brexit was certain to fail, all the markets predicted it.

But if you dug deeper, the small bettors were wagering on it passing, it was a few heavy-hitters who shifted the odds.

The Dems have a remarkable capacity for corrupting once-proven metrics, then acting as though the corruption wasn't there. They literally buy into their own lies.

Senate is probably out of reach due to the location of where the seats in play are for Dems. The House, consider it a tossup until the dust settles by May-June from primaries, retirements, campaign funding, lawsuits by DoJ requiring states to purge their registries from Motor Voter law, and redistricting effects including the possible Scotus ruling killing majority minority districts.

Economy will have a big part in it as well as futile attempts by the Dem Media to run it down like in GHWB's runup to the 92 election.

59 This is like, if Somali bank robbers went into a bank, when they get to the teller, they stick out their finger, and say "stick 'em up!" The tellers look confused, not sure what to do, but the bank's governor, Mike DeWhine says "Give them everything they ask for!"

You're standing there in line, as the tellers shove cash into bags, and after the Somalis walk out, you try to make a withdrawal from your account. They say "Sorry, we don't have any cash for you," even though you put thousands into your account.

When you try to tell them how unfair this is, they call you racist.

There are so many sea change things happening right now including the Democrat Party in Congress having a historically bad approval rating and Republicans redistricting to make new Republican seats applying old standards is in January is just dumb.

Nobody knows what damage all of this fraud will cause Democrats but it could be enormous. It will certainly hurt their fundraising because that's where a lot of it came from. Read the final media polling on the election, a lot of voters thought we were in a major recession in 92. And GHWB was also taking fire from the populists like Pat Buchanan and Ross Perot.

"Exit polling showed that 75% thought the economy was in fairly or very bad shape while 63% thought their personal finances were better or the same as four years ago." from wiki.

Clinton won both 1992 (42 percent plurality) and 1996 (49 percent) with Ross Perot taking 19 percent in 1992 and 8.4 percent of the vote in 1996.

Yep, just like all these mayors, whether GOP or not, that used refugees and illegals to make bank from federal and state spending.

E.g. Springfield OH mayor was involved in real estate rentals and strangely supportive of his Haitian refugees that were destroying the town while he was busy playing landlord. 112 Elon Musk created a monster that’s tearing the right apart
X put the right on top in the culture war. Now it’s turning them against each other.

...in recent months, X has lost its ability to unite the right. Instead, it’s increasingly the place where Trump supporters turn on each other.

Intense and bitter public feuds have broken out over such topics as Israel, antisemitism, bigotry against Indian Americans, and whether people whose ancestors came to the US more recently should be considered less authentically American. Conspiracy theories are running rampant, with many targeting the Trump administration itself...

...Musk’s ownership have altered the norms of what it’s acceptable for right-wingers to say, and have incentivized a race to the bottom for engagement. It turns out that once guardrails against bigotry and misinformation are removed, there’s a huge audience-side “demand” on the right for both...

...as X grows more extreme and disconnected from reality, top Trump officials remain obsessed with pandering to its user base — focused on throwing red meat to the online right, rather than trying to win back the ordinary voters who have soured on the president..

The left actually has less control of the media now than they did in 2024 and we did pretty good then.

There's a lifetime between now and November and lots can happen but as of now there's zero reason to rely on historical norms or assume the Democrats are in such a dominant position. Tax cuts and a predicted strong economy are coming this year. Illegals will continue to be deported. The DOJ has been cleaning voter roles for months and is now going after Minnesota's vouching bullshit and now Democrats are going to have to defend an enormous corruption scandal that boils down to Democrats importing and paying immigrants for votes.

No matter how much some love to bitch and moan nothing is happening, shitloads of things are happening. I'm so old I remember when Harris was going to beat Trump because some polls said so. That turned out ok. I think I'll wait a few months before lighting my hair on fire.

The media couldn't convince Americans that the Biden-Harris economy was as rosy as they tried mightily to portray - with the help of the DNC and US government billions to boot. If Trump succeeds in turning around the economy this year - and he will - there is nothing the media can do to convince the people otherwise.

Look, it's not like the media was actually FOR Reagan's Morning In America slogan - they simply didn't have the power to obscure what people could see right in front of them. America250 is playing right into Trump's wheelhouse.

Most of them already have internalized that government often has large dollops of fraud but the extent and brazenness of theft by despicable and unapologetic foreign invaders put a face on it plus the feeling among taxpayers working for a living that they are being had.

The House banking scandal was understandable to normies in that Congress critters were kiting checks.

This brazen fraud where Somalis were simply stealing funds designated for kids day care is something that will also resonate with the normies.

And I think this is coming deep from within the Treasury after Bessent exiled and fired most of the assholes running the magic money machines in Treasury and a few other agencies. DOGE also is getting its licks in. Because the key to a lot of this fraud is identity--social security, medicare and medicaid numbers, etc. Fraudsters need the massive ID theft in order to work their grift.

This is far greater than the Somalis. HUD fraud (at least 5 Billion) was from teh usual urban POC crooks. The Covid Payroll Protection loans were usual smarmy pieces of shit from the US and even around the globe. Once again, thieves so lazy that no physical businesses ever existed to 'protect' the payroll.

Musk, after his stint in DOGE, estimated 1.5 billion bucks per year as fraud out of about 7 billion in spending and about one billion of that is interest.

So about 25 percent fraud of all federal spending apart from interest on the federal debt.

What used to amuse me - and by "amuse", I mean "piss me off no end" - was my inside-the-beltway boss's view that the main role of government was to serve as an assembly line of legislation: the more laws that got churned out, the happier he was. I think easily half of the current federal debt (18 trillion) comes from fraudulent spending and that fraud has been propping up much of the world's economy along with making the US a massive debtor nation so that people could make vast fortunes from the flows in and out and piece of shit world control power freaks could fund their ops.

Like insertion of fraudulent ballots into the rest of the count, it is difficult to separate the shit from the rest of the porridge. Once the funds are commingled, much harder to separate out the shitty fraud from the legitimate spending.

208 The fraud perpetrated by Somalis is really just a symptom of a much deeper issue. It all comes back to the basis of our system of government and the utter failure of the Constitution to keep a handle on people who (as the Left is inclined to say) make themselves ungovernable.

The insight of John Adams was spot-on and is the biggest Achilles heel of our laws:

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Add to our moral rot since the 1950s an influx of populations entirely based in exploiting opportunities, and we're utterly doomed.
