Lung scan came back okay. Repeat in a year. Being a former long term smoker and over 50 yrs old means checking that regularly. Meh. It took longer to walk from the waiting room to the room where they did the scan than it took to do the scan. Didn't have to do the hospital garb or anything. The scanner talks and has a nice female voice with a British accent.
But my blood sugar is running a bit high and I'm supposed to cut carbs and get more exercise, ( she said, while eating a homemade chocolate chip cookie and drinking a coke with real cane sugar, eyeing the pan full of homemade peanut butter fudge, and contemplating a nap).

I tried that once, a long time ago. Everything was in really slow motion. Including my driving, I had to constantly check to make sure I was fast enough to be reasonably close to the speed limit of 25mph. It was enough for me to say, maybe ok the one time, but definitely not worth it to do it again.

It's a great experience and I'm not going to give it up.

Including my driving, I had to constantly check to make sure I was fast enough to be reasonably close to the speed limit of 25mph. It was enough for me to say, maybe ok the one time, but definitely not worth it to do it again.

Just get a cheap nylon or poly jacket that zips up. That's what I use. I'm a cigar fan but hate the smell and filth of the smoke. So I never smoke indoors or while wearing clothes I can't easily wash. I have long hair so I usually put it up into a hat. And as soon as I'm done smoking, I wash my hands.

The real real money is AI slop videos where current content is ripped off from human content without attribution. Like the Chicom Chinesium crap on Amazon, you can't escape the shit because they just keep changing names, filing off serial numbers and reposting the same shit even if YT takes the original down.

Yet they get paid.

Rick Beato and Phil of Wings of Pegasus note all the fake music videos and their marketing. But it is far bigger than that. Even in the last year, I think about 50-70 percent of YT is now AI slop feeds through algorithms.

Rule of thumb, if they actually have an identifiable talking person or panel discussing the subject like you (and the audio syncs), then it is less likely to be AI crap for now.

Lots of folks have YT only as teasers for paid Patreon or Rumble videos now.

I think the Carolinas have a distribution issue where restaurants effectively own the distributors and take all the quality bourbons before they ever get to liquor stores. I know it was the case in South Carolina, and I assume it's the same in North since I still can't find any of the remotely rarer things.

It is actually debate about Bob Dylan's Hypothesis:

The null hypothesis of course is nobody should get stoned, the alternative hypothesis is whether marijuana or booze is the chosen way to get stoned.

What they don't know is that a sample of gray boxers will have be be vivisected in order to test these hypotheses.

There was a true crime show on ID about a father who allegedly left when his son was 18 months. A bunch of weird shit happened and 60 years later his son found his father's body well and truly buried in the basement. It seems his dad invited an ex-con to live with them and help him remodel the house. His mom and the ex-con had an affair and murdered dad, they later married, and he sexually assaulted the daughters. Son had given up finding dad until his sister convinced him to go to a psychic, eventhough he didn't believe, and the psychic told him his father was buried in the basement near a target that used to be in the basement decades earlier.
