Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | DOJ Sues Six Democrat-Controlled States to Force Them to Clean Up Their Dirty Fraudulent Voting RollsGee I wonder why they're refusing. I was informed, for example, that 2020 featured the most secure and honest vote in history.John Solomon says the actual number of Democrat states being forced to clean up their voter rolls is 26. I suppose that twenty agreed to do so when demanded, and six refused, necessitating the suit. He says this will have big implications for 2026.
"As of right now, I'd say there is a modest bias in the overall House map" in favor of the GOP retaining control of the House, said Kyle Kondik, managing editor of Sabato's Crystal Ball, a nonpartisan organization that analyzes House races. At the independent Cook Political Report, Erin Covey, U.S. House editor, had the same edge for the GOP. "The very slight gain for Republicans, one to two seats, is the median scenario," she said. All this could change as state after state tries to redraw congressional maps to favor the party in power. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

I have noticed of late that on left leaning forums discussing left leaning news articles most of the actual comments and commenters are right leaning.
I understand you can get trapped in your own ideological bubble - if I just the response to news articles here at AoS for example it is going to skew strongly rightwards but these are things that should be skewing left and they are not. How does one then square that when there is supposedly an energized left that didn't lose the 2024 elections by that much and has done very well in the 2025 off year elections? Shouldn't the "Evil Trump deported a nice undocumented worker" stories have a bunch of people commiserating and not a bunch of responses of "I voted for this?!?" The Justice Department has sued six Democrat-led states for refusing to provide their voter registration rolls.
The department announced Tuesday that it filed all six lawsuits against Delaware, Maryland, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. Lame. 88 This static house and senate party split is not typical of history. Given the lengths the Dems have had to go and the derangement of supposed Republicans to help them I would not bet on it continuing forever.
Posted by: Oldcat at December 05, 2025 03:47 PM (8avO+) ======= A lot of this is the 2020 census and apportionment. At least 6 seats (a 12 seat swing) were misappropriated. Plus, you know, illegal immigrants. I don't care that much about 2026. If D's get the House, there will be a lot of noise, but it won't amount to much. If D's win the WH in 2028, they control the census again, and all the "mistakes" happen again, but harder. 2028 is probably the most important election since 2016. I'm hearing whispers that the wheels are falling off a LOT of the conservative-ish media groups, due to falling numbers. Tim Poole, Ben Shapiro, Quartering, Crowder, Daily Wire... A lot of them hooked themselves to Rumble...is it a problem with Rumble not getting the eyeballs Youtube gets? Is it the political off-season? Gen Zers who voted Trump getting disillusioned by politics and tuning out? Some of them also mysteriously seemed to have money issues when certain pockets of funding like USAID dried up. TX's just got approval from SCOTUS on a long enough basis that 2026 is covered. Looks like the IN issue is being forced, so I suspect it'll pass, and there won't be any challenge that survives. Posted by: Elric The Blade at December 05, 2025 03:53 PM (iFTx/) ======= There are so few actual swing seats since 2020. The biggest effect of the redistricting there (aside from the fraud at the Census Bureau) was to minimize swing seats. Outside a complete collapse of a party right now, wave elections will probably mean something like 15-20 seats, tops, for a few cycles. This is making this redistricting battle more important. If D's were heading towards a wave of 20 seats, but the GOP can undo 10 of those, well, that's a much small majority for D's. Then they steal a few close ones by ballot fraud, hence the 2 month or whatever post election day games. R are about 40 pct of the electorate but have way less representation.
