Bondi, Pirro, Bongino Crow About J5 Bomber Arrest, Note That Biden Allowed the Case to "Languish"
A lot of celebrating from the beleaguered DOJ leadership.
... Federal agents swarmed the Woodbridge, Va., home of 30-year-old Brian Cole Jr. following the break in the case that has vexed and embarrassed the FBI for nearly five years. "You're not going to walk into our capital city, put down two explosive devices and walk off into the sunset," bureau Deputy Director Dan Bongino, who has made the case a priority since taking office in March, told reporters at an afternoon news conference. "Not gonna happen. "We were gonna track this person to the end of the earth. There was no way he was getting away." Authorities did not publicly indicate any motive for the crime, with one high-placed FBI source rejecting earlier claims that Cole may have had "anarchist" leanings.That's just one FBI source "rejecting" that. We'll see. There were also "sources" that denied that Tyler Robinson was a gay furry.
That cell phone data was all available to Biden and Wray -- but they didn't sift through it. Or... did they? A neighbor said this guy had "unusually short legs" and a simple gait analysis would prove or disprove his culpability. So Gait Analysis re-enters the chat. Bondi says the case "languished" under Biden. I want a full investigation of the "investigation" that Biden and Wray did.
"He's very antisocial. Very," a woman who said she had lived in the neighborhood since 1991 told The Post of Cole. "He keeps to himself." "He has a dog that he loves," she added. "He walks every day, twice a day, to 7-Eleven with his dog and he wears his headphones." "He seemed very quiet. He would never make eye contact. Almost like he just didn't see you," added a second neighbor, a man who noted that Cole would "wear shorts all winter long, and red Crocs." ... Cole's arrest comes one month before the fifth anniversary of the melee that briefly delayed congressional confirmation of Joe Biden's 2020 election victory. Surveillance footage showed a person carrying a backpack and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, mask, gloves, glasses, and a pair of Nike Air Max Speed Turf sneakers who planted what investigators called "viable explosive devices" at the headquarters of the two major parties on the night of Jan. 5, 2021. Law enforcement officials, led by Attorney General Pam Bondi, stressed that there was "no new tip" or "no new witness" that led to Cole's arrest, with the AG crediting "good, diligent police work and prosecutorial work, working as a team along with the ATF, Capitol Police, the [DC] Metropolitan Police Department and of course, the FBI." FBI Director Kash Patel strongly suggested that a new analysis of cell phone data helped lead investigators to Cole, telling reporters that investigators sifted through "three million lines of information ... you can think about the amount of cell phone data that has to be ingested and triangulated and dumped and received." "When you develop evidence, you get a search warrant," he added. "When you get a search warrant, you get an address. When you get an address, you hit the house, and that's what we did."
Cole's step-grandfather, Earl Donnette, told NBC News in a phone call that he spoke with the FBI about his step-grandson, but declined to comment further. Bondi said the investigation into the attempted bombing "languished" for four years under former President Joe Biden's administration. ...
FBI Director Kash Patel credited the U.S. Capitol Police, the Metropolitan Police Department and U.S. Attorney for DC Jeanine Pirro for their work on the investigation. ... Neither bomb detonated, but authorities say both were viable and dangerous.
DC pipe bomb suspect Video footage released by the FBI showed the suspect placing the pipe bombs near the two headquarters more than 16 hours before law enforcement found them. The suspect was seen wearing a gray hoodie, Nike Air Max Speed Turf sneakers, a mask, glasses and gloves, but Cole's identity had long been unknown.

I was fascinated doing genealogy research on my Scottish ancestors who arrived on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia around 1800 and afterwards.

There's nothing graphic about that video. It shows, purportedly, Robinson running across the roof, getting to the edge, tossing the duffle bag, then jumping down.
Some have suggested, because he sort of limps away, that the rifle might have been stashed in his pants, rather than disassembled in the duffle bag.
I suppose that's possible. Doesn't appear so to me. I think the limp was because jumping off a roof hurts.

Yes. There's a deceptive half-truth in calling them "viable" explosive devices, which just means that the three ingredients were all present -- material, detonator, trigger -- and they could be made to explode. However, the available evidence indicates that would have to be done manually on the spot, and might even require some jiggering by one who knows how.
The trigger device was a short kitchen timer, and they were left overnight; so at a minimum the timers were not set before the devices were placed, and there's frankly no reason for us to believe that they were even hooked up correctly in the first place.
There is an eyewitness who falsely claimed to have seen that the timer on one was set for 20 minutes or whatever; but in one photo it can be seen that only the innards were there, and it was one of those cheapies where the clock dial is on the case. So, that was a lie, which means we cannot trust anything. They could also have been flat-out lying about the devices being viable, instead of a deceitful technical truth.

119 I just read an interview with that college girl that got deported. Wow. She was going to school in Boston with a scholarship (why didn't this at least go to a legal immigrant) . She had money enough to buy a plane ticket to surprise visit her family in Texas and afford to live in Massachusetts. Also for someone that has been here for so long and is in college...she speaks English quite poorly. I imagine ABC could only clean it up so much.
