It's chilly this am, with wind chill just above freezing. I'm considering working out this afternoon to get in a third session this week, as Thursday and Friday will both be full of rain. Yesterday at a stop light, in my rear view mirror I saw an 18 wheeler coming up behind me fast with smoke pouring off the tires as he was braking. I moved over a lane to give him space to slide thru the intersection but he finally stopped at the last second. I was not able to see the driver.

The Superman cartoon is well done. Remember, too, in 1942 "Superman" the concept was only about four years old -- and yet he had already morphed into basically the character we all grew up with, and was already part of the public consciousness.
I bought my first Superman comic, as opposed to the George Reeves TV series, when I was around eight, and the DC comics universe was my favorite entertainment for another three years. Those were grand days of imagination and puzzlement, as Superman, Jimmy Olsen, and Batman had to solve problems and mysteries with fair clues.
