When I saw the Gavin Newsom picture from high school I thought he was so obviously gay, I couldn't put it together with the present man, who has a massive ego but that's a different category. Having seen that picture of his idea of crossed legs, I'm thinking this is the kid from high school.

The Chinese armed forces publish a video titled 'Every day is a training day,' sending a signal that the Chinese army is ready to clash with Japan if it has to defend its sovereignty and defend Taiwan as tensions are high in the region.

A true son of Rome drives a Jupiter Eight. Posted by: Anna Puma
There was a car called a Jupiter, made in England by Jowett. A character in a Marlowe novel has one. They were well thought of, got good mileage and handled well, but their business was choked off by Britain's early 1950's high car tax -- two thirds of the price of the car tacked on. They liquidated at a profit, and sold their plant to International Harvester. Spend the summer in Austin before you spend money on a move. Those 11 months will give you a much more realistic idea of what to expect.
Considering the whole of Texas, I think the zone between Austin and San Antonio is probably the best climate in the entire state. Don't get the hurricanes, next to no ice or snow, tornados nothing like the north half. Fairly predictable weather year-round. OTOH, East Texas around Gilmer / Longview has "seasons", its generally cooler, but that means nothing because of the humidity is downright oppressive. But I have A/C everywhere and its only August/September when its too oppressive to go on bicycle rides or run. The limestone lakes in the Hill Country are fairly clear compared to the murk in ETX. But ETX has the water and the trees so I like it here better than anywhere else in the State. Posted by: Unknown Drip Under Pressure at December 04, 2025 09:48 PM (a4flb) 312
