Action-Packed Weekend Cafe

neuschwannstein.jpg
Neuschwanstein Castle in autumn

A parrot learns to trust. (What a gay sentence. Cancel my Man Card.)

Watching movies with your bunny.

This dog is tailmaxxing. Or something.

ADD puppy.

Ladies, if you met a man wearing this ring, what do you think? Keeper, right?

My weekend plans.

Further weekend plans.

I'll try to get in some reading.

Maybe move the furniture.

Take the car into the shop.

I'll see to cleaning the windows.

I might see a movie.

And maybe get in some vigorous calisthenics.

Definitely need to vacuum.

I might try to go to Costco too.

This reader liked the post about Olivia Nuzzi so much she sent me a sexy video of herself on her sex-swing.

That was the 1st SGT's favorite punishment. I used to step out of the maintenance platoon's ECP and walk over to Shitter Row, and help the junior NCO punishment detail stir the shit in the barrels. Completely undermined that asshole. If Chief Bif wanted something in Bartertown, Chief Bif got it.

Commander asked me once why, i told him the !st SGT was playing favorites and abusing his authority. I was merely offsetting his BS to keep the unit functional.

Y'all may remember me talking about some of my troop's misbehaviours. My fuel handler was the one firing his .45 ACP through the roof of the all grader's club at Ft. Bliss. One of the launcher platoon's crew was the one stabbing randos on Dyer street.

Bc bailed them out, busted them with company grade ucmj...then told them they belonged to Chief. If Chief said they were worthy, they got a 2nd chance.

Yes. Yes, i was the unit boogey man.

In the Western Development Museum in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, there is an iron lung that was hand-built by a local farmer to save the life of his 5 year-old daughter who was stricken with polio. He used an electric motor and a washing machine gearbox. It worked, and saved the girl's life, and she was able to recover.

I found it at Instagram.

* * * * *

Dear Santa,

When I was a child, my father cheated on my Mom. Later, my parents divorced.

Soon after, my mother died in a car accident.

My brother and I could only live in my grandma's old house.

Grandma's sister was an alcoholic. The whole family lived on my grandma's savings. Grandma recently died.

My Uncle Andy is barely keeping himself out of jail from day to day.

My brother left home and won't talk to us any more.

Dad, now 74, had to go out to work to support the family and eventually he is going to want me to do the same thing.

Yours sincerely,

Prince William

We dance when e'er we're able.
We do routines and chorus scenes
With footwork impeccable.
We dine well here in Camelot.
We eat ham and jam and spam a lot.

[dancing]
We're knights of the Round Table.
Our shows are formidable,
But many times we're given rhymes
That are quite unsingable.
We're opera mad in Camelot.
We sing from the diaphragm a lot.

"Tancredi wanted Angelica to know the whole palace with its inextricable complex of guest rooms, state rooms, kitchens, chapels, theaters, picture galleries, odorous tack rooms, stables, stuffy conservatories, passages, stairs, terraces and porticoes, and particularly a series of abandoned and uninhabited apartments which had not been used for many years and formed a mysterious and intricate labyrinth of their own. Tancredi did not realize (or he realized perfectly well) that he was drawing the girl into the hidden center of the sensual cyclone; and Angelica at that time wanted whatever Tancredi did. Their wanderings through the almost limitless building were interminable; they would set off as if for some unknown land, and unknown indeed it was because in many of those apartments and corners not even Don Fabrizio had ever set foot (a cause of great satisfaction to him, for he used to say that a palace of which one knew every room wasn’t worth living in)." - Giuseppe di Lampedusa, The Leopard

Everyone on the left was in a crouch waiting for Trump to hammer him and they were going to come out swinging. Instead, Trump praised Mamdani and defanged them and made them wonder why Mamdani didn't push back when Trump said he agree with deporting criminal illegals.

260 Trump's been doing this since 2016. Remember his meeting with Romney in one of those New York luxury hotels, when Trump was still interviewing for his cabinet? Trump with his usual happy grin, Romney sitting there in post-ravaging afterglow, thinking he was going to be Secretary of State. And then Trump dumping him down the garbage chute.
Posted by: Blonde Morticia at November 21, 2025 09:05 PM (RfDQK)

Yes, I still laugh about that whenever I see Romney.

That moment when he was photographed chomping on shrimp with a big smile on his face and a nonexistent cabinet post in his fine, woolen pocket will always be good for a chuckle, because it's been eating Mitt Romney ever since. He will never get over that wound.

And yes, she was wrong about other stuff too, like giving up on the shutdown.

I just hope that her local GOP doesn't now just give up and give away the seat to yet another hair-on-fire dumbshit Dem. While I'm wishing the impossible, I'd like a pony too.

351 Her resignation letter is quite the flounce. I appreciate her voting record, despite her being a bit of a whackadoodle. I think the distinction lost is America First doesn’t mean, and never meant, America Only. In many respects, protecting strategic interests is putting America first. Is it perfect? of course not. We have a 2 party system that won’t allow the changes we want exactly how we want them. We have to do better, we can do better, but we won’t get nirvana unless we actually do go the benevolent dictator route.

Loomer especially lost me when she was claiming last year, America is already absolutely doomed, and Trump was just a means of delaying what she thinks is inevitable: the fall of our country to Stalinism.

I admit I also hated that in Loomer's mind, if you thought DeSantis just might maybe be a better choice than Trump, you're a traitor and you need to be punished severely.

Only if they nudged themselves aside.

They gradually ceded their two most important powers to the Executive over the last half-century - first the warmaking power, then the purse.

They figured out it was much easier and more profitable to live off the fat of the land as a Party PR set-piece, while letting the other branches do the governing. They're no important than the Duma or the Reichstag at this point.
