Wednesday Morning Rant

Fake ID

Another day, another story about ICE arresting an illegal alien who was given a CDL. Unlike the last flurry of stories about this where many of the drivers had a printed name of "NO NAME GIVEN" on their CDLs, this one does include the person's name: Akhror Bozorov. He's not only an illegal alien, he's an illegal alien who is wanted as a terrorist in his native country of Uzbekistan but was released into the country by the Biden Administration.

Like last time, however, neither DHS nor the issuing state (the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in this case), nor the press outlets covering it bring up an uncomfortable fact about these CDLs. Last time around, most of the pictures of licenses issued to Messrs. Given were REAL ID compliant licenses. So, too, was the license given to Bozorov. His REAL ID was probably fraudulent. Non-citizens may be issued them legally, but only if they have official status - green card (permanent resident), valid visa, DACA (I know) or TPS (I know). It is unlikely that Bozorov had any of these.

As any real citizen - that is, a second-class citizen - knows, you have to provide gobs of paperwork to get a REAL ID. Multiple forms of identification and citizenship status must be provided, or you don't get one. The fair Commonwealth skirts around that with their boilerplate response to inquiries as published in the linked article:

"When non-citizen applicants appear at a Driver License Center in Pennsylvania, PennDOT reviews immigration and naturalization documents, which are confirmed in real-time against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) website before issuing any driver's license. PennDOT is prohibited from publicly disclosing information about an individual's driver record due to state and federal privacy laws."
Note what that does not say - and what neither DHS nor Fox News decided to mention. It makes no mention of REAL ID. It also makes no mention of CDLs. Both are special cases. Pennsylvania may issue licenses to foreigners at its discretion, and it is common for resident aliens to have domestic licenses if they drive. Pennsylvania may not, however, issue a REAL ID to an alien unless they have long-term legal status. CDLs, too, may not legally be issued to an illegal alien.

Pennsylvania is attempting to frame this as "we gave a license to an alien after following our internal procedures for doing so and it was legal from our standpoint" and passed the buck to DHS. So one of two things must be true:
1. The Commonwealth is telling the truth. It did its due diligence and DHS told them "all good here. He's an alien with one of the qualifying legal statuses (permanent resident, visa holder, etc.) and you're all good to issue him a REAL ID from the federal standpoint."
2. The Commonwealth is lying and they either didn't vet him through DHS, or they did vet him and issued him a REAL ID illegally.

Who is lying here? Did Pennsylvania fraudulently issue Bozorov a REAL ID while knowing that he was an illegal alien, or did DHS give them them the go-ahead to do so? Why do DHS and the press never comment on the distressingly common problem of the complete failure of the REAL ID system? That system is in place explicitly to avoid this. The cumbersome (and potentially unconstitutional) mess that is the entire REAL ID program is there to ensure that those without long-term legal status are not given official documents that allow them to impersonate having official status.

Someone is lying here, but either way, it invites an uncomfortable conclusion: REAL ID doesn't work. Whether its requirements are being ignored by the states or whether its requirements are being ignored by the feds, the fact remains that the requirements are being ignored. The press can be forgiven for missing this, because press men are all retarded. DHS cannot. They know the score and their extraordinarily loud silence on the issue requires explanation.

If the problem is with the states, why are they not revoking REAL ID certifications from states that do this and invalidating their existing REAL IDs? If the problem is with the feds, why are they not just scrapping the REAL ID program altogether because it is clearly unfit for purpose as well as burdensome? If it's both (and that would be my guess), then the program is clearly pointless.

To ask, in all likelihood, is to answer. That may well be why nobody is asking.

I'll bet he had all of them. They aren't hard to get, if you're willing to forge documents and/or steal IDs. Obviously, these guys are stone-cold criminals who would certainly do that.

Remember all the stories about normal Americans having their ID stolen? The assumption was that Nigeria scammers did it. I now think it was much more likely stolen by someone like Pedro or Akmed or Vladimir looking to paper over an illegal.

12 All I know is the Real ID program in PA is a shit show. I rolled into the KoP drivers license center a few weeks ago and the line for Real ID was out the door and snaking through the parking lot. Eff that, I walked to the front desk, asked the estimated wait time, the state drone shrugged. I asked how long to just renew my license - 10 minutes. I'll use my passport to fly. PennDot could fuck up a one car funeral.

29 The root cause of this, like most issues with illegals, is the trucking companies that hire them. There’s no way to inspect every driver. But a few high profile raids of trucking companies including arrests of executives… that may get some companies to think twice about using illegals.

TSA Pre is very useful; but the “no taking shoes off”, in my experience, just means taking shoes off after the machine beeps. 69 Ah, it was a covid-era gift from Biden:

In 2021, the Biden administration urged states to find ways to approve more licenses, as the country grappled with COVID-era logistics challenges that snared the nation's supply chains.

From February 2022 onwards, driving training and test centers were allowed to self-certify their own programs, meaning with no state or federal oversight. There are now over 32,000 self-registered 'training providers' listed in the federal registry.
Biden's reforms also led to states massively expanding the issuance of non-domicile CDLs, granting them to many who had an EAD, even if they had entered the country illegally.

This came hot on the heels of the watering down of English language requirements: previously drivers who could not converse in English with a police officer or official could have their license revoked. Obama-era rules from 2015 had rescinded that order.

Applicants can now take their written test for the CDL in almost any language: Virginia currently offers tests in 26, including the West African dialect Twi, Nepali, Pashto and Haitian Creole.

71 Real ID was supposed to be ready in what 2005 I think. Perfect example of how government can take a simple concept like an enhanced drivers license and fuck it up for 20 years.

I can only imagine the billions that were stolen implementing this by consultants over the two decades.

I don't think they fucked it up. I think it was deliberate sabotage. RealID -- if done right -- would make it harder for illegals to get licenses and to be able to fly. That was the original point. It was a genuine security measure.

But illegal immigration is a trillion-dollar racket, and nobody wanted to see that end, so the states dragged their feet for decades, hoping the whole thing would just go away.

Enrico Fermi was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics, a real achievement, not the faggy post-modern “economics” ersatz kind. The prize money in those days was substantial and seeing the writing on the wall (His wife was Jewish) he un-asses Europe for the U.S.A.

He was fought over by various American universities like the last box of Chicken Nuggets at 2 AM. He ended up at the University of Chicago.

But for a time, he was not allowed to fly on aircraft anywhere in the US simply because he was an Alien. Technically speaking, an Enemy Alien, as a state of war existed with Italy.

Plyler vs Doe, and so-called “Birthright” citizenship put the nails in the coffin of any sane migration policies. This was of course deliberate, with malice aforethought and psychological manipulation of the worst sort. Guilt trip everyone into letting their guard down.

Illegal aliens have a “right” or automatic claim on your resources, just because. Some clown in a robe said so, so it must be true.

When I first started going to texas, probably around 1999-2000, I was seeing highways that weren't even open, like they were in reserve. There was another highway in the dallas area that had a shit ton of lanes. I'm thinking shit man, super wide highways, and highways that are done and just waiting. Oh the best one that I loved was the quick turn around at the bottom of exit ramps. If you screwed up and took the wrong exit you don't need to sit at a light, you had your own lane to just zip around and get back on the highway. That alone made want to move to texas. lol

I couldn't use my current driver's license even to prove residency even though it contained my current address. DMV lady at the counter was surprisingly competent and quite unimpressed with the process.

166 In Houston they have a lot of problems with 'independent' truckers parking on side streets walking distance from their apartments. Some streets look like a trucking firm yard.
———

One of the dirty secrets of the trucking industry, the way I see it - virtually everything we buy is transported by truck at some point.

But everyone hates trucks, and truckers, and don’t want to pay them what they are worth. That’s why they are importing Terrorists from Uzbekistan, after all.

I’ve never been a trucker, but it’s a different world. No place to park. You don’t get paid while waiting to pick up a load, which may take hours or days. It used to be, like so many blue collar jobs, a way to make a living. Professional drivers for the most part, salt of the earth types.

Now it’s just a minimum wage hell hole, administered through fly by night nicklefvckers. Nobody wants to do it, so anybody who can fog a mirror gets the nod these days.

Happy Motoring!

213 I understand that it’s pretty easy to legally change one’s name legally. Probably a huge PITA re credit cards, SS, etc., though.

Also flew Southwest into Dallas Love.

I think it took us nearly an hour to get out of the city and onto a freeway owing to construction and traffic.

In other news, it was four years ago today that Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty.

221 I made some goog money making fake IDs in High School. Our DL in Louisiana (Could get when 15 years old) had the same font as the phone book.

You could easily lift a number with scotch tape and put it over the birth date number on the DL.

222 The Man just installed a few red light, government indoctrination center and license tag reader cameras in a small town just across the line of demarcation from me.

You should see the howls from all the old farts who voted in their town council which approved the cameras as their wrinkled old asses are all getting tickets in the mail. The traffic ticket court on the interboobs is hilarious with old farts screaming about their "constitutional" rights.

223 My Dad was in line at the Navy recruiters on Dec. 8, 1941. Everything was fine until they said, "Take off your glasses and read the chart."
——-

Security at Wendover, Utah in 1944 discovered about a dozen machinists in the Army, working on top secret stuff, who were fugitives from the law, prison escapees, one guy was a murderer.

Apparently they thought the best place to hide at the time was the military. They didn’t ask too many questions.

The G2 guy informed Tibbetts. He ended up calling them in his office, said keep your mouth shut, after showing them their file. They about shit. Where did they get this?? We’ll let it slide he says …. It you keep your mouth shut and do good work.

224 An Uzbek citizen had to use a valid biometric passport for foreign travel to depart Uzbekistan since the days of O&Joe but then it began introducing digital ID cards.

23 September 2020, 'The process of introducing digital ID cards instead of 2011 biometric passports will begin starting 2021'

In part, "Until the end of 2020, you can apply for an ID card, take the e-queue and make an online payment.
The card will be issued within a working day from the date of submission of documents, and for the elderly in need of care and persons with disabilities – within 15 days with a visit to their place of residence without additional payment for the service provided.

Valid biometric passports and the Regulation on the passport system in Uzbekistan remain in force until December 31, 2030, that is, from January 1, 2031, the biometric passport of 2011 is considered invalid."

Don't know when he first appeared in the US but the Biden administration had tourist, business and SO MANY other Visas out hither and yon.

There's likely no way to ever know what was issued legally, or obtained illegally, and when.

PS - As a 'mature' woman, gave up trying for a real ID in PA, my birth state.

225 Stated purpose of gubermint actions is Never the real purpose.

Real ID = tightening the chains around citizens. Never anything else. As we see.

226 My retirees ID card (retired military, so a federal ID) wasn’t good enough for the TSA clowns at DFW. But now that I am retired from the military I do not fly much now. Having free TSA Pre was nice…

Yeah, late to the party, but screw it. Remember this: flying out of SAT in the morning? GET THERE EARLY. TSA Pre will not help you in Military City USA, for most of the people flying out in the morning are military and have TSA Pre.
