And as an additional bona fide, Muslims make up about 0.1% of the population of Hungary. So what does that say about Orban's analysis of geopolitical events? The most ridiculous aspect of this entire pathetic repudiation of the Globalist, United Nations, NATO narrative is that the West is very willing to sacrifice Ukrainian youth in the meat grinder of this war, spend their American-financed peace dividend on arms for Ukraine, but would never dream of sending a single soldier to fight. That's for filthy Slavs to do! And also because their fighting-age men are effete, despise any martial spirit, and simply don't care enough about anything to fight for it! Including of course fighting the Muslim hordes raping their women! Orban is correct. This will end in a Russian victory of sorts, and throwing good money into the quagmire of Eastern Ukraine is laughable, if it weren't also deadly and destructive. The West should push hard for some sort of ceasefire, but expanding the war by sending American offensive weapons to Ukraine is insanity. Yes, that will put pressure on Moscow, but is it the kind of pressure that ends wars? No. The real question is: What does Europe get for its €185 billion? The continuation of the obscene corruption in Ukraine? That speaks ill of the morality of the Western elites. They are willing to sacrifice Ukrainian and Russian youth to keep the graft flowing. Russia ain't attacking anyone in Europe. Russia has exhausted their inventory of tanks and APC's and is now pulling old cold war 1970s era tanks and APC's out of mothballs and sending them to the front. Cold war storage depots are being emptied and equipment cannibalized to make a few running tanks and troop carriers to be sent to the front.
I have seen recent pictures of the fighting and there are wrecked russian T-64 and T-72 tanks along with burnt out BMP-1's stuff that was last used in the 70s and 80s.
There was a guy on youtube that was tracking that stuff but I haven't seen him post anything lately.

They got ... $185B. I very strongly suspect that the vast majority of "aid" money to Ukraine never left the aiding country. It was stolen before it ever made it outside the border. Some money eventually got to Uke, and it was promptly stolen by the homunculus faggot and his fake wife. The politically-connected remoras got their cut too. What was finally left over was probably pennies on the dollar.

I knew some of the folks that designed those programs after teh Wall fell. No, it does matter what I and everyone else thinks. I reject the notion that we are all responsible for things most of us never asked for or wanted. And we need to make that point to young people who largely don't know anything despite thinking they have all the answers.
Socialist type policies are why prices have exploded and goods are scarce. Allowing them to believe that doubling down on socialism is the key to fixing everything is the path to doom.

I do like the idea of punishing Russia bad enough that they don't decide to try expanding again. But I don't know if they'll learn that lesson. We keep teaching our enemies that if they just hold on, we (the US and the West in general) will get tired and leave. The Vietnamese know it, the Afghans know it, the Algerians know it, and now the Russians are learning it.
But there doesn't seem to be any chance of the Ukrainians willing a decisive victory either. So they have no chance of winning.

Putin was stupid from a strategic standpoint and like a lot of Western policy makers, he is stuck in the past trying to return back to status quo.
The truth was that Russia was already facing massive issues with demographics before the war as the birth rates and immigration have favored minorities at the expense of native Russians.
Now, he is relying on arming/training a bunch of those minorities on the periphery to fight in Ukraine so his power bases in Moscow and St. Petersburg are not affected by the draft/conscription. What could go wrong?

First, there's a lot of heavy breathing about protecting Ukraine's borders. Well, why? Why should borders be static after WW2? What about those borders (other than that's where we drew lines on or about that date) is lovely or good?
Second, I don't think any government should be sending their young men to war over someone else's problem. If you want to bring back private armies, I'm with you. I think someone with oodles of money (is Soros pro-Ukraine? probably not) should be able to recruit and train up a bunch of folks to go to Ukraine's (or Christians in Nigeria) aid.
Third, Russia might win only to the extent they consolidate some small gains. But, generally, I think they're being bled dry. They frittered away all of their industry, and Putin didn't fix the problems that the Soviets induced. The Russia that holds the Donbas will be a fragile shell. Of course, no one else will take advantage of that - because that's not who post-WW2 Progressive foreign policy wonks are.

Locally my favorite grocery store is Winco. It's got a decent produce department, an excellent meat department, as well a very large bulk foods area. And the prices are consistently the cheapest around. You do have to bag your own stuff, though, but I like to do that anyway.

Walmart has a sophisticated tracking of pricing where the most commonly bought items and sizes of those items are very competitive on price but if you depart from those items or the most popular size, often the most expensive when compared to other places. Great burgers require great fixins. We is old people and consequently cook for two. We can manage the two burgers or three, depending, but, leftover buns, lettuce, tomatoes, etc, presents a challenge.

it's a time/cost consideration. If beef prices are high, you can't make a burger at home as cheap as you can buy it at a burger chain. If beef prices are low (please, please someday again), then you can make a cheaper burger but you are spending time making it.

I've been in Wegman's a couple of times. They're okay.
And more impressive I think if you've seen the regular pile that passes for a grocery store up north.
HEB is significantly better IMHO. And Central Market up the variety in snazzy goods and selection.
Weirdly, Whole Foods appears to be moving downscale and features worse veg and meat than before with less variety. And making their stores smaller inside.

The Habit started here in Santa Barbara. In college we would go to the original Habit and get a triple cheese burger, or two for 99 cents each after water polo or swim practice. Then eat a full diner a couple of hours later.

Hardtack is hard-baked unleavened bread. Basically just flour, water and salt. It's made that way to keep from getting jogged to pieces in a soldier's pack and also for storage/longevity. Pretty decent when fresh, but a jawbreaker when stale.
