I did turn DisneyChannel back on just to see what the "Wizards Beyond Waverly Place" was like. Cute show. Mostly white cast. They have two other shows "Vampirina" and "Electric Bloom" which is a show about a high school music group partly produced by Diane Warren. I think she did the song for 'Star Trek Enterprise.'

About three years ago, the channel became the BET of children's entertainment. Barely a white person to be found among the main cast. So I moved on to game shows.

The new shows are cute, pretty funny and mainly white casts which is what DisneyChannel was for years. And Nick too. It's almost like trying to appeal to 13% of the population that doesn't give a crap about you may not be a sound business strategy.

I'm sure there's plenty of DEI crap still in the pipeline, but this was surprising.

I always liked that putting an upside-down question mark or exclamation point at the beginning of the sentence. Lets you know up front what kind of a sentence it is. Very useful for reading aloud.

Just got off the phone with the surgeon - liver resection surgery is a go!

The earliest date he has available is December 11tth. The surgeon thinks I should be fine to travel by the 20th for Christmas, so we are planning on seeing the girls in Brackettville from the 20th-27th, then swinging by the Houston area to visit with my BFF for a couple of days right after that, then we plan on being back in town in time to see our friends for our annual New Year's Eve get-together.

Apparently, while this will be open abdominal surgery, the recovery will be much easier than 2015 when my intestines were involved.

I probably won't be able to hold grandbabies in my lap, but other than that, he doesn't anticipate any problems.

He wants to do surgery ASAP, so that the cancer doesn't have a chance to grow any bigger.

The date isn't set in stone, but if it isn't the 11th, it will be close to that date.
