Suspected "Michigan Men" Terrorists Took Target Practice In Preparation of Attack: FBI

Commenters wondered -- rightly -- if this was a legit terror plan or just the FBI entrapping idiots into some hot talk.

We can't say which it is just yet. But the "Michigan Men" who spoke about shooting up synagogues over Halloween weekend did practice shooting.

Practicing shooting is no crime. But... the law of conspiracy requires an "overt act" taken in furtherance of the conspiracy to establish it's a legit plan and not just hot talk. This would satisfy that element. The overt act doesn't have to be a crime. Buying rubber gloves isn't a crime, but if you buy them after agreeing to participate in a break-in and robbery, then buying rubber gloves becomes an overt act in furtherance of the agreed-upon crime.

So no, there's nothing illegal about taking target practice.

But it is, legally, an overt act in furtherance of an alleged conspiracy to shoot up synagogues.

Suspects in foiled Halloween terror plot pictured practicing at Michigan gun range: FBI

FBI recovered stockpile of weapons from suspects who allegedly planned Detroit-area Halloween terror attack

FIRST ON FOX: Two Michigan men have been charged in a foiled ISIS-inspired terror attack that allegedly would have involved a massacre in a Detroit suburb on Halloween, according to an FBI affidavit.

Mohmed Ali, of Dearborn, Michigan, and Majed Mahmoud are accused of plotting to launch a terror-inspired mass shooting codenamed "pumpkin," according to court documents.

Classic Michigan Men names.

They've been charged with receiving, transferring and attempting to receive and transfer firearms knowing and having reasonable cause to believe that they would be used to commit terrorism.

Ali practiced shooting at a local gun range multiple times, including with Mahmoud, a juvenile suspect referred to as "Person 1" and under the alias "Athari" -- and once with an unnamed "Co-conspirator 4," according to the complaint.

The charges come after Amir Makled, a lawyer for Ali, who was arrested Friday, claimed to The Associated Press that there was no plot and that he did not expect charges to be filed. Makled did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital Monday.

...

In one exchange, intercepted by law enforcement, according to an affidavit, the unnamed juvenile suspect allegedly insisted that the attack should take place on Halloween and not a later date.

"So ya, I talked to my brothers. We are going to do pumpkin," he allegedly told Ali. "I talked to...[Co-conspirator 4] and [Co-conspirator 5], they said it is getting bad. So we got to do pumpkin, ya."

Read the complaint:

Before they could act, however, authorities served federal search warrants on both men's homes and a storage unit in nearby Inkster, recovering three AR-15-style rifles, two shotguns, four pistols and more than 1,600 rounds of ammunition, along with other evidence including GoPro cameras, tactical vests and other gear.

...

The complaint includes multiple unnamed co-conspirators who allegedly practiced shooting at ranges with Ali and Mahmoud. They also allegedly scouted potential attack locations in Ferndale, Michigan, a suburb north of Detroit known in part for its LGBT nightlife.

...

Ali and Athari, the juvenile suspect's alias, were allegedly planning to do the "same thing as France," in an alleged reference to the Nov. 13, 2015 ISIS attack in France that left 137 dead and more than 400 injured after gunmen and suicide bombers launched a coordinated assault on multiple locations in the French capital.

Diversity, Which Is Our Strength, has been increasingly shooty and stabby since 10/7. Almost as if they're a would-be conquering army which has infiltrated the west under cover as "civilians."

CNN naturally claimed this was all just "Islamophobia."

--CNN Deletes Piece on Dearborn ISIS Plot--

Earlier today, CNN cast doubt on the ISIS attack being planned by residents of Dearborn, Michigan, framing it as "Islamophobia."

Later, the DOJ released a 70-page criminal complaint revealing that Dearborn residents Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud possessed multiple assault rifles, over 1,000 rounds of ammunition, and detailed plans to carry out an attack on behalf of ISIS.

Following that development, CNN stealth-edited its article, effectively deleting it by transforming it into a piece about the DOJ complaint -- not about "Islamophobia."

In the UK, there was another Diversity Is Our Strength stabbing murder, and I don't mean the mass casualty attack on the train. These just happen once or twice a week now.

A man is dead, and a nation is seething. The blood-curdling murder on Monday night of Wayne Broadhurst, who stepped out at 5pm to walk his dog and never returned home, has left his neighbours along with millions of his countrymen wondering 'what if?'. What if they had turned a corner as Broadhurst did, only to have a knifeman rain blow after blow down upon them. The killing in Uxbridge, a suburban town in the western reaches of Greater London, speaks to fears that run wide and deep.
auto skip

Broadhurst was 49. He was a bin man. He was well known in the community. Two days ago, he was living a normal life. Now he's gone. The suspect is a 22-year-old Afghan national. From what we know, the attack was utterly senseless. The Afghan was chasing a 45-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy when Broadhurst tried to intervene. For that act of instinctual courage, he lost his life. The 45-year-old, meanwhile, has sustained 'life-changing' injuries. The boy got off more lightly. Residents believe the alleged killer had been lodging with the 45-year-old, when he chased his landlord out on to the street. He was tasered at the scene, before being carted off by police.

It was senseless, too, in that it almost certainly could have been avoided. While there is much we do not know, while the law demands we still use 'suspect' and 'alleged' when describing the killer and the crime, we cannot help but notice that it appears to fit an awful pattern. The suspect entered the country illegally, in a lorry, in 2020. Two years later, he was granted asylum and leave to remain. The horror in Uxbridge comes after a long line of murders, terror attacks and rapes committed by those who in any sane nation would never have been here.

There's Lawangeen Abdulrahimzai, who plunged a knife into the heart of aspiring Royal Marine Thomas Roberts, outside a Subway in Bournemouth on 12 March 2022. Abdulrahimzai also came here illegally, also from Afghanistan, fleeing murder charges in Serbia. There's Ahmed Alid, the Moroccan asylum seeker in Hartlepool, who was so inspired by Hamas's exploits on 7 October 2023 that he stabbed his Iranian housemate before murdering a 70-year-old British man on the street. There's Abdul Ezedi, another Afghan, who was granted asylum on his third request, despite racking up two sexual offences here. He threw alkali on a refugee woman and her children on 31 January 2024, before going on the run and killing himself.

Ethiopian national Hadush Kebatu had been in the country just eight days when he sexually assaulted a woman and a 14-year-old girl in the Essex town of Epping in the summer. Kebatu's crimes sparked protests outside the Bell Hotel, where he and hundreds more migrants resided. It also inspired months of unrest outside the nation's migrant hotels. Following his conviction -- and farcical, accidental release last weekend -- Kebatu was finally deported this morning -- proving that the authorities can deport people after all, when they really apply themselves. If only they had got to Abdulrahimzai, or Ezedi, or Alid, a little more promptly -- all of whom similarly arrived in this country illegally, festooned in red flags.

Meanwhile, the Diversity Officer who stabbed a baby to death in Germany has been ruled "not criminally responsible" because who are the dhimmis to judge the princes of Islam?

A regional court in Germany has ruled that Enamullah O., the Afghan asylum seeker who fatally stabbed a two-year-old boy and a 41-year-old man who tried to intervene during a daycare outing in January, was not criminally responsible for his actions and will be permanently confined to a psychiatric hospital.

Presiding judge Karsten Krebs announced the decision on Thursday, stating that the 28-year-old suffered from a severe mental illness at the time of the attack, which rendered him incapable of understanding the nature or wrongfulness of his actions.

"The highly dangerous suspect no longer poses a threat to the public due to his confinement," Krebs said during sentencing.

Sounds like a great reason to allow more unvetted third-world psychopaths, rapists, and murderers in. They're so close to a cancer cure I can smell it.

Islam is a heresy of Catholicism. It removed all of the personal agency and replaced it with submission to an irrational "God." So long as a Muslim prays five times a day, he is good to go. Paradise awaits. Sin is hardly recognized, and anything can be rationalized because their "God" is unknowable. There is nothing truly logical about any of their beliefs. That is why it is okay to lie, cheat, steal, murder, rape, and beat women. It is all fine so long as the men lift their asses in the air repeatedly.

You might check out Hillaire Belloc on the topic. His book is The Great Heresies.

They pulled their guns on him, so he went to drive away, and they shot him in the back.

And now for the rest of the story.

Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security, said at the time that Jimenez had “attempted to run officers over by reversing directly at them without stopping” and that the shots were “defensive.”

Step 1.) Decide you are going to commit a murder.

Step 2.) Talk to complete strangers about a crime that will certainly land you in jail ... even if you are just talking to a normie!

Actually, while typing out my sarcasm, I just realized that is probably exactly what happens. Someone reports to the police that this drunk lady is offering $10,000 to anyone that will kill her husband, and THEN the cops get somebody to wear a wire and get the dumb conspirator on tape.

So. Whom shall we assume was arrested? Was it Amir Makled? Was it the lawyer? Professional journalists, presumably at the top of the news food chain, and they write stuff that would get the red line through it in a Junior High English class.

Way back in the day, a young Cow Demon was told by his father that he should read newspapers because of their use of grammar if nothing else. That, and when watching the news, the newscasters knew what they were doing with the language because they had to know it inside and out in order to do what they were doing.

Well, maybe once upon a time but now, not so much.

Posted by: Cow Demon at November 03, 2025 06:05 PM (vwL3N)

????

Look all over this blog.

Take this passage from a comment close before this one:

"The idiocy that Islam causes was so evident that a group was pressured to stop publishing a map. An international group of patent and copyright professionals met every ten years. They would publish a map with dots for all the patents and where they were produced. USA, Europe, Japan South Korea etc had thousands each. In the Middle East only Israel had a bunch of dots. The Muslim countries had almost none."

Islam, USA, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Middle East, Israel, Middle East & and Muslim - specific people, places and and ideas are all capped.

causes, map, group, patent, copyright, professionals, years, dots, they, bunch, countries - the common nouns - are uncapped.

This is the prevailing convention in written English.

Not my experience with 09Ls in the Army. The Muslim females who joined US forces tended to end their cousin marriages, were rather shamed by them to the point I had to explain that three generations ago the same thing was distressingly normal in rural American and Canadian locations. They are not going to be western women, but they are also not going to deconstruct the definition of "woman."

You are simply telling me that either you don't read (and when I say that I mean you are perfectly literate, but simply don't read on your own much, say, outside AoS), or that you DO read and the books you read are older. 174 "That killed any belief I had in Americans standing up to tyranny using all these guns we own"

I've often wondered why the Left sends it's dumbest people to argue against the 2nd Amendment. It feels like a trap.

Maybe that's because they know it's an illusion. We believe we have insurance against tyranny so we endure oppression (like the Jan 6th round up) that we shouldn't. It's like thinking you have a spare tire. You accept more risk, but when you get that flat and pop open the trunk - it's not there. If you had known you were driving around without a spare you would have been more careful, you wouldn't have gone off-road, you would have avoided construction sites, you would have monitored tire pressure.

The light-switch metaphor doesn't help. We are (rightfully) cautious about resorting to violence because it will spin out of control. So we present a binary choice. Are we really so unimaginative that we can't come up with anything (not necessarily violent) in between Do Nothing and Kill Everyone? To borrow from an old joke: A conservative being forced marched into the Gulag, turns and yells "stop pushing me or you will rue the day!"

179 We also telegraph weakness. If you tell your enemy you won't attack unless provoked he can ensure you never attack at all. He'll come at you sideways, softly. Like the Brits, you'll wake up one day as a wild hog who didn't want to create drama as the fence posts were erected around you.

Posted by: Fen at November 03, 2025 06:29 PM (IPVPZ)

The ultimate insurance against tyranny is self government. But people will not do that because IT’S TOO HARD. It’s much easier to sit around and bitch, and maybe demand term limits because it is so much easier than working for better governance. (And we can never forget the idiots in Congress were idiots in state and local government - we chose to look the other way.). It’s not enough to vote for the King every four years. You must vote, and vote often. Yeah, it sucks, but it beats the alternative.

Violence and insurgency should never be done for what TJ would call “light and transient causes”. People did have to be pushed to take up arms against King George 3.
