From my perspective it's not that complicated. Look at how much time, effort and money we are spending and will be spending for years to clean up messes in places like LA, SF, Portland, Seattle, Memphis and other blue shithole cities. Now we can toss NYC onto the list.

One look at these links, and taking in what we've seen escalating almost exponentially over the last number of years (even more ratcheted up since Trump's reelection), I fear -- no, I know -- we've reached such a tipping point that one side is going over the cliff at some point. NY in general is about to hit the wall. A lot of it is because of illegal immigrants and their reliance on public assistance. As FedGov slowly squeezes that funding to zero, NY will need to pick up the tab. The population exodus is exacerbating the revenue situation, as is businesses leaving. A lot of companies now have offices outside NY and are shifting jobs to those locations. They are keeping the bare minimum to retain tax deals, but they are preparing for the worst.
If you look at the list of top 10 taxpayers in NY, it’s occupied by a lot of rich liberal Democrats. It’s a very fragile list and one departure could undermine the entire pyramid.
It’s going to be interesting to watch.

200 NY in general is about to hit the wall. A lot of it is because of illegal immigrants and their reliance on public assistance. As FedGov slowly squeezes that funding to zero, NY will need to pick up the tab. The population exodus is exacerbating the revenue situation, as is businesses leaving. A lot of companies now have offices outside NY and are shifting jobs to those locations. They are keeping the bare minimum to retain tax deals, but they are preparing for the worst.
If you look at the list of top 10 taxpayers in NY, it’s occupied by a lot of rich liberal Democrats. It’s a very fragile list and one departure could undermine the entire pyramid.
It’s going to be interesting to watch.

Kill him individually - but then that would probably motivate the others
Tie them all up and leave them - but they would likely die of exposure
Tell them to stay put and not warn the Taliban in return for being left alive.
They went with option 3 and got all but one of them, and more American soldiers, killed.
