Musical Interlude Song is Welcome to the Internet by Bo Burnham. Animation is basically a celebration of vtuber agency Phase Connect - that fish dude is the avatar of CEO Sakana - which has been going from strength to strength as competitors have been folding or failing or being exposed as lying stealing cheating frauds looking at you Vshojo. Phase Connect will be revealing five new talents this weekend as part of its fourth generation, Phase Saga. The sixth member, Anya Nyabyss (now which recently-retired Phase-affiliated indie vtuber could that possibly be?) has postponed her debut until some non-specific personal circumstances clear up. The "nine year old who died" in the video (it's part of the original song) is a reference to Amaris Yuri, who came over from Cyberlive when they folded along with Kaneko Lumi, and then became the only talent ever to be fired by Phase Connect. She's back with her channel intact and will be redebuting as an indie soon. Disclaimer: Welcome the the Internet! You're banned! Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

I like that the "analog bag" is then being pushed by a content creator, I.e. it's just another stupid TikTok trend where shrewd but stupid girls try and convince other stupid girls that something equally stupid to all of them, is a trend. None of them actually believe the shit, or probably use anything their promoting; and ironically in this case I'm sure everything they're doing is documented on an iPhone.

Evening and morning, AoSHQ addicts. This here is my bag, analog or otherwise! 'Tis Friday, the consummation devoutly to be wished!
I've had an "analog bag," my shoulder-strap Eddie Bauer leather briefcase, since 1994 or so. Recently I had some loose stitches on it repaired and a new shoulder pad put on. Good as new after thirty years. And as I recall, it cost me only about $100 back then. Whenever I think of replacing it, I look at the $300-400 price tags of the new ones, and I go lie down for a while. I had to work for a bit this morning, but an hour-and-a-half of effort cleared things away, so I can go back to bed for a bit before the sun comes up. I've got a phone call to make later on which I dread (a personal thing, but it does bother me not knowing if it's going to be good or not), then I really want to concentrate on writing at least a page today. I'm revamping my opening chapter, so I need to surround myself with silent movie talismans to get in the proper state of mind. No, Donny Two Scoops has broken their media/democrat loop. And it’s glorious.
The whole thing is a huge scam. Pay people not to work. You’ll never guess what happens. Import a new class of illegal aliens who will work for substandard wages. Millions and millions. Whole swaths of industries are extinct in this country. And phony baloney currency to pay for it all. USA being hollowed out, only an idiot can’t see what’s been happening. Or he’s in on it. “Sustainable” is a buzzword in a lot of things. Curiously not when the subject of government finance. There isn’t enough money in the world to pay for all this, not even close. The story on the ONT about the man who staged his funeral to see who would attend reminds me of the story of the 'death' of 'Lord' Timothy Dexter, an eccentric merchant of 18th century Newburyport MA (about 20 minutes away from me).
He was a notorious miser as well as a misanthrope, but one day decided to fake his own death to see how his household would react. He expected cries and wailing, but when his wife danced for joy and the servants broke into the larder and began feasting, he jumped out of his 'deathbed,' grabbed a cane and started beating the hell out of them. @64/FenelonSpoke: The bit about the tires exploding gave me additional food for thought: Get the kids off and away from the burning bus, but also (if possible) behind a strong structure. Those tires are under serious pressure at the best of times, and bits from an exploding tire are lethally dangerous.

Was looking for datasheets for VRAM from 1989 for a period-accurate cycle-accurate hardware emulator, and discovered that my local copy of the Bitsavers is horribly incomplete.
Fortunately Bitsavers has and recommends an anonymous rsync server, and I have a 100TB server sitting in the US, so it's filling in all the gaps now. And now that I have 500Mb internet I can pull from there any time I want. (Looks like the timings I want didn't exist until 1991.) Posted by: Pixy Misa at October 24, 2025 07:29 AM (BLOW1) 133
