30 First Lady and I got married on Kawaii. We went on a snorkeling trip that week. She'd never snorkled and learned she had a stronger leg than the other by swimming in circles. When advised we needed to return to the boat, I had to go get her again as she paddled away. Once getting her, I looked at the boat and they were waving frantically.

I figured we were about to be shark food. I looked left and saw a school of dolphin heading right for us. Not knowing what to do, we just froze. The got within 40 ft or so, went dow 40, went past 40 and came right back up, hoping along the way.

I took a picture with the disposable underwater camera, but you can't really see anything but dark blue.

I then saw about 50 dolphin coming at me at very high speed. Couldn't go left or right, they were spread too wide. Decided to kinda ball up and hope for the best.
The lead dolphin was huge and I looked him right in the eye. His eye was more than 6"diameter. He must have given a signal, as all the dolphins dove under me, and resurfaced maybe 200' past me. A relief.
I've also been in the center of a bluefish feeding frenzy, that was fun.

They'll never hit you unless they wanted to for some reason. We see them a lot when we are fishing here. At first it kind of freaks you out how close they swim to the boat even when you're moving at a pretty good clip. But they never get hit. Good sonar.

For a while some genius had the bright idea to mount brightly lit 4' X 8' advertising signs on the backs of vans driving the freeways here. Truly blinding at night: I haven't seen any for a while so maybe someone did the right thing for once.

Static billboards are not a problem. The video ones are diabolical. Say you get a glimpse of one, promoting a concert by one of your favorite musicians at a local Indian casino. Then it changes to an ad for an insurance agent, then a lawyer. You stare, and stare, waiting to get the date for so-and-so's concert, and your eyes are off the road all that time.

I want them to experience American justice when it works -- the FAFO treatment. Jury of their peers (sorry, some of them will have to be white, black, or the wrong color of brown, you Desi bigots), judge in a black robe (might even be a Black woman!), evidence painstakingly presented by white attorneys in suits, the dashcam video played frame by frame over and over, the medical techs testifying, the whole bit. Things they never dreamed of when they casually climbed behind that wheel.

Ah, it's the house here in Apache Junction that needs the roof repaired. Some shingle blew off, and roof leaks badly. The recent massive rainstorms last week did damage. Looks like I have about one square's woth of shingles to patch.
