The Party of Groomers Claims Another Victim: NC Democrat Charged With Statutory Rape of Child Between 13 and 15; Denied Bail Because He Attempted to Use His Connections to Find Out the Location of His Accuser

Oh, and I don't just mean he groomed the child he raped.

I also mean he supports Groomer Legislation preventing parents from finding out if teachers at school are grooming them for transgenderism.

North Carolina state Rep. Cecil Brockman was arrested on Wednesday and is facing multiple felony counts related to sexually abusing a 15-year-old child.
Brockman, a Democrat serving his sixth term in the state House, is accused of engaging in a sexual act with a minor on August 15, according to BPR.

The records say that Brockman, 41, engaged in a sexual act with a 15-year-old. He faces two counts each of indecent liberties with a child and statutory rape of a child who is 15 years old or younger.
A magistrate's order denying Brockman bond in the case says he is a state representative and has "attempted to use his status to gain information on the whereabouts of the victim."
The order also says that Brockman made attempts to contact the juvenile victim, including in the hospital.

He's denying this, but the allegation is made by the same woman who exposed his DMs in which he talked about killing a former colleague in the state house. Note that he said things over the phone, and not just in texts, when Conyer called him to object to the things he texted. This allows him to claim "I never said that," but it sure seems like he did, because in the texts we know for a fact he wrote, he refers to statements he made to her, not in the texts themselves, about needing to inflict "pain" on people to make them change their policies. This seems like a direct reference to the "shoot cops so that they're nicer to Gentle Giants who are really turning their lives around."

The New York Times also suppressed it completely, at least until they were pressured to mention it by conservative critics. But the story never made the paper -- they assigned a very junior reporter (really more like an intern) to write up the story and posted it only on their website, with no promotion and no way for anyone to find it.

Except that they want to be able to say "No we totally did cover it, you racists."

No, just experience. I've seen it up close and personal many times, in addition to the stories that make the news. The wired version is likely incompatible with existing doorbell mechanisms unless new home builds. Point being, understand that you may not be able to use your regular door chimes (you might, be understand it may not work).

If you are cool with that, and an annual subscription, and if you just happen to have a smart home system, then it does integrate well. The garage door opener is also integrated now which is slick if you have a smart watch because you can get notifications. I have a Fenix 8 so when someone is picked up by Ring, I get a screenshot on my watch. Which is good enough for determining if its a solicitor, neighbor, delivery or law enforcement which gives you opportunity to act accordingly.

Its a pain to ask Alexa to show the front door and then check the display, so that feature is largely unused. I do have the inside Ring door chime in the house and shop. Also it is part of IFTT for turning on porch and foyer lights when person detected.

If you want to roll wireless, then Eufy is pretty easy to set up and they have a dizzying array of levels. Swann is still one of the heavies in the wired camera arena but both required existing internet networks if you want to view footage remotely.

If a wired system, look for one that sends power to the camera over the ethernet.

I have the Eufy which works well enough for me and it has a paid cloud version if you want it--I don't. Newest version has encryption from camera to the monitor/storage/server as well as when stored. And now the encryption is harder to crack.

I know why, even though it sucks for men. Almost all state's laws say that the Judge is supposed to look at the situation from the viewpoint of the good of the child, and the welfare of the parents (especially an absent father) is immaterial. The idea is that if the child is needy, that will end up being a burden on the State, and the State will not allow that to happen as long as there's a parent that can be made to pay.

On high end burglaries yes, not very common at the normal household snatch and grab. Many figure on getting in an out in less than 10 minutes grabbing jewelry, silver, guns, money, checkbooks, purses, phones, etc. that are easy to steal and easy to sell for a score.
