The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

punk-monkey.jpg

Well, this will be short and decidedly not sweet.

Perhaps the single best thing about President Donald Trump is his total and complete rejection of the deeply offensive concept that America is responsible for the security and economic success of the entire world. Post World War II American politicians drifted from the undeniable success of the Marshall Plan, which was intended to be a temporary assistance plan for Western Europe.

Of course it turned into a catastrophic, permanent, independence-sapping welfare scheme for Europe. They didn't have to look out for themselves militarily, courtesy of America's financing of NATO, so they squandered that economic boon by turning Western Europe into a massive welfare super-state.

And our politicians, not content to be Western Europe's sugar-daddy, expanded that attitude to every single country on earth! The complex web of funding every tinpot dictator and nascent "democracy" is buried deep in our massive government budgets, and that funding has morphed into a vile attitude that the people of the United States are for some reason on the hook for the success of the world.

There is a huge difference between supporting our strategic allies, and funding the economic growth of the world. And Donald Trump understands that.

India sends high-level team to Washington as Trump's $100K visa fee takes effect -- 'afraid of our talent'

The Ministry of External Affairs over the weekend warned that the move could have "humanitarian consequences" while another minister suggested the global community was "a little afraid of our talent."

So this cocksucker seems to think that we are obligated to employ hundreds of thousands of Indians because their remittances support the Indian economy? Or maybe India is dumping their retard junior engineers on America because their sclerotic and over-regulated economy can't employ them? Either way, it isn't our problem, and suggesting that it is makes him sound like the beggar that he is!

"H-1B visas are not being used to fill occupational shortages or obtain highly skilled workers who are unavailable in the United States," the White House said in a statement. "Reports also indicate that many American tech companies have laid off their qualified and highly skilled American workers and simultaneously hired thousands of H-1B workers."

Ah...we get to the crux of the matter. Corporate America loves it some indentured servitude, and compliant Indians make the best ones!

So, the short answer to India is: F*ck off, and fund your own country with homegrown industry. And to corporate America? Also: F*ck off, and start employing Americans rather than your pets from third-world sh*tholes at low wages and no economic mobility.

Retard junior engineers is spot-on. Though calling them engineers is a stretch.

Engineering schools in India are trash. And it's garbage in, garbage out.

The auto industry is full of these retards, mostly all remote working. That is what has been happening at Stellantis the past 5 years and the contract house bringing them in told us their long-term plans are to get them into every auto industry company, automakers and suppliers.

The Left couldn't destroy the auto industry through forced EV production, so now they are doing it by hiring retards from India to sabotage the gas vehicles. Ironically that may push people to just go buy Teslas.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about immigrants' "talent." They don't have any special talents -- other than being much more desperate than Americans and thus willing to work much longer and harder for less money.

The reason India is so pissed off about the new $100k fee is that India knows the vast majority of these visas are given to desperate grunts who are basically slave labor. If these visas were going to truly talented, high-value, high-paid executives, then a $100k fee wouldn't move the needle much.

And the auto industry over the past 5 years since the Plandemic has laid off thousands of qualified and highly skilled American workers and replaced them with remote-working retard junior "engineers" in India. 51 There's an irony to the Marshall Plan and it's addendum support structure under different names. Once Western Europe started recovering politicians in those countries and our own changed the purpose of the aid. As the Cold War materialized, aid from the US became "a protection from creeping socialism." Now, here's the irony. The fact that the US took the pressure off economically allowed Western Europe to actually pursue Socialism. And, pursue it they did.

"The purpose of the H-1B visa is to allow U.S. employers to temporarily hire highly skilled foreign professionals for 'specialty occupations' "

Interesting - was not aware "business analyst", "data entry", and "phone support" were highly skilled, specialty occupations.

Several places I've worked looked like offices in Mumbai given the scores of Indian "specialists". And this includes at State Government installations.

They work for cheap, which wrecks the wage scale for Americans. But the vultures in congress get the payoffs from offshore Indian "consultancies" so the H1b is never properly enforced.

But inclusion and stuff, so I'm a bigot and a racist.

55 When I worked at Intel (INTC), they were up to their necks in “contingent workers” and bringing in “diversity hires”. Contingent workers came in thru two different Human Resource companies that had non-overlapping regions of the world. I’m not sure these were H1-B workers because they officially worked for the Human Resource companies doing work at Intel sites. The company would then make a delivery to Intel. The “contingent workers” did not get the same benefits because they worked for the hiring companies.

85 This whole h1b executive order is a con job on MAGA and classic Taco.🌮 It doesn't impact current H1Bs, and future jobs won't go to Americans.

H1Bs lowering wages is a lie that’s been told to maga to distract from the economy not doing well and assigning blame to others. If you want to kill jobs for foreign workers then say goodbye to your 401K when these companies are kicked out of other countries in retaliation.

sure maga. the reason ur cost of living is thru the roof is because of asians who cant assimilate, not corporate subsidies who use tax cuts for stock buy backs instead of paying you and your fellow workers more than .001% of value u generate. please give me an example of someone not assimilating enough for you

Yep. At Stellantis, they laid off hundreds of qualified, skilled American engineers making on average $100k + benefits and replaced them with remote workers in India they pay $10k-$25k with no benefits (since they are contract).

Management sees that as a massive cost reduction, plus think that they can hire 4 engineers instead of just one. Problem is that one qualified, skilled American engineer is more efficient than the 4 Indian "engineers" put together.

TJM, answered partially your comments in the last thread. Basically the dysfunction in teh GOP comes from they don't want massive turnout elections because that would threaten existing donor-corporate interests like Big Pharma etc.

The reason the GOP has not sealed the deal (unlike Trump and a few other candidates) is they don't want to give up what they have built over a lifetime in politics--a way of generational wealth for them and their families via grift. MAGA is a dagger to the heart of such arrangements. The Democrats have befouled their nests so that the big turnout model no longer works for them without fraud in the equation--their party base had led them to insane and non workable/sustainable policies.

The GOP doesn't want to seize the voters by and large abandoned by the Dems because that means the donors lose their bought GOP control of process as competitive primaries bring new voices to office reflecting coalitional interests rather than special ones. So they want to stick with their insider models of running state and local parties.

- It would lead to pay raises for other Americans currently employed.
- It would lower the price of pretty much everything.
- Trump would get the credit.

Pretty easy to see why they oppose it.

After one of the children of the single black family in town got in trouble at school one of the bored Indian wives formed an anti-raycissms group nominally to help the black kid that was mostly made up of other bored Indian wives.

However this group only went around getting the town to celebrate Indian holidays and pursue anti-Indian raycissms.

As an interesting contrast the Chinese immigrants seemed largely uninvolved politically.

127 Something from the earlier discussions regarding Capital punishment this morning.

We know from observation, in hindsight, that the oft-repeated full throated endorsement by the left for Free Speech in the 1950s thru the 1990s was a ruse, a sham. A ratchet to be used only one way. Once the gained control, then Free Speech was discarded and their edicts were ruthlessly enforced, and Free Speech just a distant fond memory in the minds of old dodderers. No Dissent is allowed against their orthodoxy.

I look at their oft-repeated protestations against the death penalty as entirely transactional, not based upon any deep seated moral objection. Merely that the bad guys are getting whacked.

My hypothesis is, they will start cranking out “2nd Look at Capital Punishment?” policy pieces if they are confident with all the levers of power. If true, this would be a very bad development or “canary in the coal mne” of which there have been many in recent years.

159 Six women were just arraigned in federal court for their alleged roles in the July 4 ambush shooting at the Prairieland ICE Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas.
Prosecutors say the women helped stage a fake vandalism call to lure officers into a trap, where an Alvarado cop was shot in the neck and correctional officers were sprayed with 20 to 30 rounds.
Investigators recovered AR-style rifles, radios, body armor, and a phone-signal jammer from the suspects' vehicles.
According to the federal complaint, some wore black tactical gear and split off from a larger group that had launched fireworks and tagged property with graffiti.
If convicted, the women face federal charges including attempted murder, conspiracy, and firearms offenses.
Supporters claim they were attending a mostly peaceful protest and deny any conspiracy.

It's one of the many reasons I prefer them to Costco.

161 116 Are the existing H1B visas are indefinite or are on an auto-renew so employers don't have to pay $100k each year? How many of these are there?
Posted by: Chuck Martel a

H1Bs are for a set term. The new fee is not retroactive but going forward and I think there is also a salary issue as well. They are allocated every year by a lottery system and thus now any lottery winners of an H1B post must pony up 100k to fill that position or give it up. And there are new salary restrictions on H1Bs coming from Howard Lutnick.

FWIW, over 71 percent of all the H1Bs are from India, 12 percent from China, and the remaining 17 percent from around the world.

163 Someone on the socials suggested going online and begin the process to obtain a "Gold Card" visa using bogus info. Not to actually get one, but rather to clog the system up with bogus applications.

The idea being when an application was started one of the 100K H1-B gold visas would be "taken" and couldn't be used by an Indian or whoever. It didn't matter if the application was never completed... it was opened and the system wouldn't release it for some period of time if not completed. This, in theory, would reduce the number of available visas to foreigners.

During Trump's first term, I was working on a (IT) team composed of a LOT of Indians working in LA. They told me that they were living in company paid housing with a living stipend, but they were still receiving their India wages.

I wrote Trump about that and asked him how I am supposed to compete in this market? Within a few weeks, the administration put severe limits on H1B visas. Maybe coincidentally, a few months later there was a massive re-org and I got the single biggest raise I've ever seen.

Now, during this Trump term: My employer just did a massive round of layoffs. Shortly after that event, I get an email from the White House touting Trump's executive orders.. and asking me what executive order I would like to see?

So, I answered and told him I wanted H1B visas to be killed, and also pointed out all the US tech companies doing layoffs that have recently been in the news. And I think 2 weeks later Trump drops the absolute HAMMER on these Visas.

Now, I'm sure I'm not the only 'tech bro' bitching about this H1B crap, but DAMN!

227 Thailand has become a case study for the use of biometric data in every facet of life. Every banking transaction is monitored and scrutinized. Any perceived discrepancy is flagged as fraud and punished without due process. Regulations have overwhelmed the system, resulting in a full-fledged banking crisis. Over three million Thai bank accounts were frozen instantaneously without warning as a result of government overreach.

Transaction denied. You contact your bank to see why the payment failed only to learn that your account has been frozen–all of your accounts, for that matter. The bank is investigating you for suspicious activity and potential money laundering or fraud. There was no warning call or letter and there is no clarification as to what transaction was flagged. You’re completely locked out of your accounts and have lost the ability to purchase.

231 I think my favorite cultural benefit from India is that a significant number of them think it is perfectly acceptable to use public beaches as toilets.

I've read that a long-standing nude beach in Vancouver is no longer usable by women, since groups of clothed Indian men stand on the beach to stare at the naked women.

Earlier waves of Indian immigrants respected Canadian mores - the current wave, not so much.

She has name recognition and blacks love her. She'll win SC easily if she runs.

She's essentially the Biden of 2028. No one takes her seriously because of a long history of being a stupid moron, but she has enough solid support, especially among blacks, to just power through objections to win the most important early primary state.

I'll bet a lot of OF "models" are in fact prostitutes who will be very "hands on" for the right price.

There's a minor war going on in the porn industry over whether the porn "actresses" can have side-jobs as actual prostitutes. There is apparently a LOT of money for the girls in that. But the porn industry hates that, because it undermines their control and shatters the illusion that the girls are unattainable in real life.

Interesting dynamics in the porn industry.

My concern regarding the death penalty is that far too many cops, judges, lawyers, witnesses, experts, and jurors are unreliable, venal, incompetent, corrupt, lazy and stupid, and pay no price for being unreliable, venal, incompetent, corrupt, lazy and stupid. In cases where there really is genuine overwhelming evidence of guilt, sure. But anything short of that is going to be questionable in my view.

The central committees can't make what they want happen through the vote. 2016, they barely held it together, and 2020 it completely failed.

2024, they just threw out the process completely, and still didn't get what they wanted.

So, unless they completely throw out the process early in 2028, they have to deal with the fact that Kamala continues to have consistent 1st/2nd tier support and a lot of black support.

America, currently, is about as close to capitalism as the USSR was.

Also, India never stopped being enthralled by socialism. A perfect way to hide their nasty caste system under the guise of "helping."
Instead of the brahmans being the top due to caste, they merely swapped and put themselves into government jobs at the top.

Simply put, presidential elections are odd ducks compared to other situations but it is difficult to lose the general and run again even if you have name id. 351 I just thought of another facet of US society that's going to take a swift kick in the nutz due to an increase in the cost of an H-1B. Education. There are A LOT of people in education (both University and public school) that depend on the H-1B. The educational organizations within the US have actually set up special programs to recruit these folks.

School districts, and most colleges aren't going to voluntarily pay $100,000 up front. It's going to sink these recruitment programs.

And if all else fails they’ll just hire Indians from India and keep them in India.

The entire business model of IT is cheap labor. If all of a sudden they had to pay market rates for Americans it all collapses.

363 My overall point is the idea that Kamala's career is over right now or that she won't even run is nonsense.

She's obviously going to run. Obviously. That's what she's doing now.

And she has a better chance than at least 90% of the candidates.

Acting like she simply won't run when she's obviously laying the groundwork now is silly. Acting like she has no chance when she retains regular support, more than seriously every other candidate especially from key demos like the black vote, is silly.

364 I still blame 401k for this phenomenon. Mutual fund managers have different investment goals from pre 1978 investors.

The middle and working class retirement funds ruthlessly require corporations to keep their costs down, and the easiest way to achieve that in low growth industries is to import cheap labor.

372 Someone on the socials suggested going online and begin the process to obtain a "Gold Card" visa using bogus info.

Posted by: Martini Farmer at September 23, 2025 11:33 AM (Q4IgG)

The Gold Card visas aren't H1Bs, they're effectively Green Cards. The people who get them have to plop down $5M.

381 I think when Trump kicked off a yearlong celebration of America's 250th anniversary in Iowa, the opposition - of which there are many segments ww - used it as a launch date for major resistance against the administration.

WBNS 10TV: In part, "President Donald Trump turned a heartland festival for the United States' upcoming 250th anniversary into a celebration of himself, basking in a crowd of supporters Thursday night shortly after Congress approved tax cut legislation that he championed.

On the eve of the July 4th holiday, Trump said “there could be no better birthday present for America than the phenomenal victory we achieved just hours ago, when Congress passed the one big beautiful bill to make America great again.”

The Republican president plans to sign the legislation Friday during a picnic at the White House, while stealth bombers and fighter jets that participated in recent airstrikes in Iran fly overhead, a symbolic synthesis of the overwhelming force that he’s deployed to reshape Washington and the country."

Eh, not persuasive as open seats are different than a prezzie race with incumbent. Plus, A) no reason to assume GOP candidates have the same model as Dems and generally in that field, the GOP has traditionally a very different model for candidate selection. B) Dems in the last twenty years include 2004-Kerry, 2008-Obama, 2016-Killary, 2020-Biden. Obama ran as incumbent in 2012 so no real race there in Dem primary.

I don't think Kerry in 2002 was a top name id for the Dems, nor Obama in 2006. Killary and Biden were for different reasons--Killary as Bill Clinton's sidepiece plus high profile roles and Biden was VP and long time grandee for the Dem party.

Also dunno about Kamala's appeal to blacks in SC. A lot of that depends on the Clyburn AME church network and that might be based on whether someone else was running or not.

There used to be a guy at Davidson, Josh Putnam, doing work on presidential primaries and Paul Henri Gurian at UGA was another along with Aldrich at Duke. Josh has a website called Frontloading HQ.

404 In my former life I worked with developmentally delayed toddlers and provided therapy services in their homes once a week. I will never forget the morning I arrived at a new family’s home and was told by a sad and distraught young father that he had just been laid off from his IT job at a very large Fortune 500 company in our area. His wife also worked, but didn’t make anywhere close to what his salary had been. He was afraid they were going to have to sell their home and move in with one set of their parents. Two hours later I arrived at another new family’s home. They had recently moved into a new home and I found out that the father had just been hired for an IT job at the same company as the previous father. This family was newly arrived from India and so happy about their future. I couldn’t help wondering if the American father had been let go so that the Indian father could be hired at a much cheaper salary for the same exact job. Now we know.
