Democrats Vote Against Resolution Condemning the Charlie Kirk Murder and Denouncing All Political Violence

You will never get the left to agree to this. Many -- at least 40% of them -- are affirmatively pro-murder, pro-killing-the-deplorables, and the other 60% are cowards afraid of the other 40%. They bow to the extremists every single time, as they did at the New York Times when they fired an editor for publishing an op-ed by Tom Cotton. The 40% extremists demanded his firing, and the 60% cowards agreed.

GOP
@GOP

This is the text of the resolution that 118 House Democrats shamefully refused to vote for:

Resolved, That the House of Representatives--

(1) condemns in the strongest possible terms the assassination of Charles "Charlie" James Kirk, and all forms of political violence;

(2) commends and honors the dedicated law enforcement and emergency personnel for their tireless efforts in finding the suspect responsible for the assassination of Charlie Kirk and urges the administration of swift justice to the suspect;

(3) extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to Charlie Kirk's family, including his wife, Erika, and their two young children, and prays for comfort, peace, and healing in this time of unspeakable loss;

(4) honors the life, leadership, and legacy of Charlie Kirk, whose steadfast dedication to the Constitution, civil discourse, and Biblical truth inspired a generation to cherish and defend the blessings of liberty; and

(5) calls upon all Americans--regardless of race, party affiliation, or creed--to reject political violence, recommit to respectful debate, uphold American values, and respect one another as fellow Americans.

The rancid revolutionary Alexandria Donkey-Chompers rose to denounce Charlie Kirk.

Even as she justifies assassinating political figures, she talks up her possible run for the presidency.

That seems to be a dangerous mix-- promoting assassination culture while also running for president.

It's almost as if she knows that it's only the left wing which is promoting Helter Skelter Mansion-Family murders, so she's safe.

Progressive New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is actively weighing her next political move, which could include a run for president in 2028, Axios reported Friday. Sources told the outlet her team is deciding between a White House bid or challenging for one of New York's two Senate seats. If she pursued the latter, it would likely mean a primary battle against Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, though he has not yet said if he plans to run for reelection.

Related: Erika Kirk will lead Turning Point USA.

Good! Let this widow's battlecry ring out.

Turning Point USA announced Thursday it has unanimously elected Erika Kirk, widow of slain founder Charlie Kirk, as the organization’s new CEO and chair of the board. The board said Charlie had previously expressed that Erika should lead the group if anything happened to him.

Think they still don’t know how to deal with a family member of a crime not demanding unity, not to politicize his death. It was refreshing how much she wants her husband’s murder to amplify his message and galvanize his followers.

Awesome!!

With all due respect to Erika, Charlie was a unique talent, and it wasn't his conservatism that made him so effective.

I forget exactly how he said it, but he was asked not that long ago, what he wants to be remembered for, once he's gone, and he said something to the effect that he wants to be remembered as someone who embodied his faith.

Mebbe. I'll take your word for it--haven't done serious empirical work since the 00's on elections. I might try running some models again just for one specific purpose--forensic fraud detection. Starting with precinct level returns in one specific state over time. Already have the older returns in the data can.

Some time in the not so distant past, people online started noticing the photoshop adjustments gals were doing to their photos. They would, needless to say, stretch out some parts of their bodies, while trying to narrow others.

You could usually tell, because a wall or fence post would also contain the bulge, where the photoshop adjustments had been made.

But once people started pointing this out, they got better at photoshopping out the flaws around the body. Still, if something looks "off" about a photo, especially of an otherwise attractive woman, it's almost always due to the adjustments made.

Was a different gathering when it happened again. There was this dude there. Physically fit, good looking, charismatic, well-spoken. He was flirting with this broad who was there. He talked about what he did for fun and all that, but definitely mentioned that he worked for his dad's concrete business and had just graduated to the office from the plant and was working his way up. The flex was clear: "I am going to run a successful major business soon, honey."

We discussed it way back the day after on the thread when the picture came out. Mauser 98 sporterized with a target stock of some type whether plastic, carbon fiber, or some other synthetic type. The scope may have a generous eye relief and I think the picture got shortened and distorted a bit before release. The key to me was the bolt handle--most commercial jobs have swept back bolt handles and then the back of the bolt shows a swinging safety rather than a frame mounted trigger blocking safety. The swinging bolt safety mod is necessary for the Mauser safety to be operated and clear the bell of the scope. Unmodified Mausers flop over from left to right or right to left at the back of the bolt. Then, you have 30-06 requiring a long action 98 receiver. 308 is a better pick for sporterizing.

Reminds me of the vid I mentioned seeing the other day.

I'm sure it was originally posted on TikTok, a young woman was split screen with another young woman who was bragging about having a "500 body count," and the gal was saying something like "you can have a 500 body count too!"

The other gal, the one who posted this vid, she was pretty, but not dolled up like the first one, and she said "Yeah, I think I could have a 500 body count too, except there was this one thing my dad used to say to me all the time. What was it... oh yeah, it was 'I love you'."

After seeing the left in the wake of Charlie Kirk's assassination and 38% not able to bring themselves to formally denounce political violence, I think it is a close draw, but he may have the edge.

To reliably hit a throat shot at 200m would take quite a bit of practice and familiarity with the gun. LOL, I had forgotten that someone used Cthulhu as an actual nic. I was just funning on the fact of the ancient flamewars here with people like EoJ or Chavez were truly like the era of Lovecraft's Elder ones.

361 On X, I saw this great meme with Steven Tyler. It said Steven Tyler looks like your friend's mom who doesn't care if you drink as long as no one drives home. They had a great picture of him to go along with this.

362 keena, have you seen Steven Tyler's daughter Liz in the movie "Heavy"?? OMG.

365 A 5 has an average amount of beauty.
A 6 is better looking than 84% of women.
A 7 is better looking than 97.5% of women.
An 8 is better looking than 99.9% of women.
A 9 is better looking than all but one woman in 10,000.
A 10 is better looking than all but one woman in 100,000.

From the Bell shaped distribution curve.

366 The college fixation is weird, and Millennial women have it.
Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at September 19, 2025 02:55 PM

This drives me up the wall. I know a lot of college-educated men who attended college on either the GI Bill or while working in a related field. They were "good catches," as my grandmother used to say, because they actually knew what they wanted from life before they blew a lot of time and money on a degree.

367 Steamboat Willie is now public domain.

Without the Sonny Bono Act, it would have entered the public domain in 1998, and we'd be up to about 1947 in PD works.

Why do you have this obsessive need to write a Mickey Mouse cartoon? Surely a smart guy like you could create a better character.

372 So question for the horde, and probably mostly the ettes.

Is it ok to look at AOC and say, "her only value is her shaking her tittays!" since no one wants to hear what her mouth is saying?

Or is that crass and sexist? And if so... does that matter since it's AOC?

373 @365 A 10 is better looking than all but one woman in 100,000.

So you're saying there are about 1,650,000 "tens" in the U.S.

From the rules of Very Large Numbers.

375 These people don't see themselves being in this situation. If any of them get shot, the survivors can just say they deserved it. Democrats are willing to die for these beliefs.

Of course they and their supporters want everyone else to do the dying. They want anyone they disagree with treated the same as Charlie Kirk. It's now everything but official, we are not part of the same country and they already believe they're at war with us.
